Non O expat in USA wants to return to Thailand
jcmj replied to LALes's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So what about your place of residence? I’m coming back and have a house in Pattaya. How do I list that or show immigration where I will be staying as it is not a hotel as suggested upon entry? -
Thailand to end quarantine for some vaccinated visitors from Nov - PM
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It’s a step in the right direction. Bitch all you want about what it should be, but realize you are going to Thailand. As long as they drop the quarantine which is the most expensive part of it I’m fine. The rest may be a bit of a hassle but not a deal breaker. Just need it in writing. -
POLL: Should Thailand scrap the quota on foreign condo ownership?
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It’s been done before for a short period. Don’t see why they can’t or won’t do it again. -
As they always say, you get what you are paying for. If you start them at a lower salary With the intention to give them a raise after a successful training period you may get someone to train the way you work, lead by example, seem to be a quick learner and be able to do what’s need to be done, you’ll be a happy man. If you want someone with experience and a good work track record pay more.

Tourism minister pressing ahead with "Step by Step" reopening of Thailand
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If the tourists or people coming to reunite with their families already have the vaccine the Thais should not be worried at all it the one coming that are taking the risk. Why not let them in. This is ridiculous. -

Prepare for a spike, public health expert says, but don’t panic
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
All of my Thai friends and relatives in their 20’s to 50’s are begging for the vaccine and just can’t get it. So how to you expect them to follow the rules if you don’t give them the tools. Money is tight. I understand why they are now getting more upset that the foreigners there are getting it before them And yes, if this happened in your country you’d be bitching to if the Mexican neighbors next door got it and you didn’t. -
COVID-19 vaccine guide for travellers to Thailand
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
Nothing really new here, but good for those just looking into traveling to Thailand. Of course the only ones that I assume would want to go through all these hoops are ones trying to get back to their families. Otherwise you’re in for one long boring trip. -
I always wanted to adopt my foster son, Get along with both parents well. The father has been out of the scene for many years. Just pops up here and there. My son calls me daddy even at 19 now and asks if I can now adopt him cause he’s old enough to sign the documents. Put a tear in my eye and so I will look ???? k into that. I told him he is a young man now and I’m not sure if they will allow it but he’ll always be my son.

Thais are getting taller and heavier each year. Before you’d rarely see an overweight Thai woman or man and few of height, but now it’s rampant. Height is probably from a lot of mixed couples and evolution, the weight we can thank the introduction to all those fast food chains and Foreigners introducing their eating habits.
