Hot sting: Thai child scalded by soup at Chon Buri restaurant
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Accidents happen and the owner is willing to take responsibility. Shouldn’t really be news unless the parents are trying to get a lot more money than offered. -
Phumtham dismisses refugee employment proposal as impractical
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
You’d think that they would prefer to get them work permits and ID’s to track them and make sure they got jobs and pay taxes. It’s a win for both parties. I’m sure they would do many jobs that the Thais aren’t interested in, but TIT you never know what is going to happen. -
Indian-Thai man accuses delivery rider of spying, threatens to kill him
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
I’m sure he will be bailed out soon and nothing heard about this again. Sad but money talks and sounds like he comes from a wealthy family. -
Finally someone who left those ladies speechless. They tried to bait him as usual but they lost.

Rogue riders spark outrage as Phuket police face backlash
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
They should have had CCTV or some sort of cameras there to document who went through so they could at least be able to try get a video of the incident and possibly the license plates to search for the people who did this. Fine them and deport them if they were international tourists. They need to get their act together. -

Bangkok governor Under Pressure to Enforce Demolition of Aetas Condo
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Nobody is willing to pay for the demolition of that one or the one in Pattaya. Should have made the developers and the committees that approved them responsible and sat on them until it was completed. Now just a few eye sores that nobody wants to deal with. -
Bangkok fights smog with free public transport for a week
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
And there is the bandaid that they are going to try to use and if/when it doesn’t work then they will try something else. Every year is getting worse and they still only react to the issues once they become a problem. -
Three Orangutans Seized in Thailand's Wildlife Smuggling Bust
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Southern Thailand News
Glad they got caught, but sure there are many still getting through. Keep on fighting. Poor animals deserve better than this. -
Does Jomtien require a new TM30 after international travel? I have done it, but they have never asked for it and still have the original one stapled into my passport. Never change my home address. Just wondering. Thanks

Father, 72, Fatally Stabs Son in Self-Defence Amid Violent Dispute
jcmj replied to Georgealbert's topic in Bangkok News
And people still were upset about the lady that built a cell like room for her drug addicted son. This stuff happens way too often and I hope if they find any drugs in his system that the father will be immediately released. This certainly sounds like an ongoing issue and he finally decided to protect himself from the abuse. -
Gaza's Governance: Uncertainty Persists Despite Ceasefire
jcmj replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Far from over. Just news old Biden wanted to claim before he left the office so Trump could take the fall when it fails after getting into the office. Israel still wants them all killed and not willing to give up the strip. Still a big mess coming up. -
Elephant Birth Control Sparks Debate Amid Conservation Concerns
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Quite taking their land and they will have plenty of room to grow. Their numbers were much higher years ago and now finally on the rebound again. They were here well before the local village crop fields. -
Borderline mystery: Chinese model’s vanishing act stuns nation
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The sex trade is real for both men and women. Hope they find him safe soon. It’s a vicious world out there and there are so many “traps” when you are a young model or actor. -
Ruble trouble: Russian tourist robbed and roughed up in Phuket
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
Glad to see Phuket being honored for its luxury destination in Thailand. Nothing more welcoming than being found by your local mafia by the Thai/Russian mafia and given your beat down to pay up. -
Khon Kaen couple arrested for 1 million baht amulet theft
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Obviously no background checks easily available round here, but I definitely would have contacted a previous employer. Although no guarantees with that either. Hope she gets a hefty term because if you are willing to steal from your employer I doubt there’s many she wouldn’t steal from.
