Over 30 senators to grill govt during no-confidence debate
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Unfortunately those 30 have just put a target on their backs. If only this was a true democracy they wouldn’t have to worry, but as it stands, they are not going to fair well. -
Thai man survives black bear attack during ant egg hunt (video)
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
A mother bear is very defensive when she has her cubs with her. That’s why and when most of the attacks happen. Beware and stay away if you know that they have little ones. -
As long as you have a prescription from the doctor you are fine. I’d piss purple in the test if I got pulled over. Guess I need to take pictures of my scripts to show them to hopefully ease the hassle by the MIB

Thailand’s casino odds looking up as House Committee wraps study
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not the first time this has been in the news. Maybe, just maybe, they will finally go through with it. I’m sure there are quite a few caveats that they have to make in order for this to happen. Sure will piss a lot of underground casinos bosses off, which are probably very well connected with the elite. Time will tell. -

Authorities Warn Entertainment Venues in Pattaya Against Loud Noise
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
In one ear and out the other. Warnings don’t really help as we have seen over and over again. As long as the envelope is full they don’t have to worry about anything further happening. -

Military and vets save giant python in Thailand after dog attack
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Southern Thailand News
I wouldn’t mind having that snake on our Soi for a few days to help control the dog population. Way too many aggressive dogs gathering here. -
Thai teacher accused of ignoring sick student, leading to his death
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
The teacher had time to video it, so she could have tried to help him instead or call for help. Whether that would have saved him or not at least they could have tried. Sad. RIP young fella. -
Unfortunately they are still a nuisance on the streets when they are dumped back to them, and slowly other dogs that haven’t been sterilized seem to pop up and the cycle continues. The packs of dogs on our Soi has reached 12 at one end and another group of 7 at the other end. They are very aggressive towards bicycle riders and me and other pet owners trying to find a place to walk their dogs in peace. Torn apart several peoples cats. Glad they are trying to keep the population down but there’s still a lot left to do to make the streets safe for families and their pets and kids.

She should be paid more. She holds many titles and is probably also the school principal, guidance counselor as well as all of her other daily courses she’s teaching. The sad part is she is probably underpaid and is just expected to do it all or lose her job.

Land title chanot question.
jcmj replied to surreybloke's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
The owners name(s) will be listed on the Chanote and if there was a will from one listed then you would have to follow their wishes. The names in the blue book, as stated, just show who resides there. -
Thailand’s GDP growth disappoints with a slow 1.8% rise in 2023
jcmj replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Surprise Surprise. Keep going after the cheapest group tours and this’ll be the outcome. We all know who they are catering to. -
Dental Point clinic on the road behind Big C Xtra on Pattaya Klang. Great service and prices.

Why do they start this <deleted> during the high season. There’s already too many traffic jams due to incomplete road construction. They just don’t get it, or could care less. Pattaya city is a nightmare to drive through these days.

Thai man loses 50,000 baht after being blackmailed with explicit video
jcmj replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
It happens way more often than reported. Don’t ever send a video or duck pic If you don’t want your Willy being seen by the world, especially if it’s to an online romance. -
I use the Orestone Group which I believe is also called Pattaya Renovations. They are not very expensive and they do a great job. You can search google to find them. If you can’t find them let me know.

I brought my friend to the hospital as he was having his second stroke. It was clear and as soon as they got him into the emergency room, unable to speak and very weak, they came in with a credit card machine and asked for a deposit. I absolutely blew up, told them he has insurance and told her to get the hell out of there. The doctors came and did the bloodwork, confirmed their diagnosis and the lady came back and said they have to do an MRI. The lady came back again and wanted a deposit because it was an international policy. He was clearly upset and disoriented and I told them I would take care of it and just do the scans and help him. I did have to go to the registrar while he was getting his scans done and put a deposit down, even though he had insurance. So be warned. They always spout this BS about taking care of emergency patients but that’s clearly not the case. My friend ended up having a 3rd stroke and thankfully I was there pushing to get him treated or he may have been another well hid statistic. This definitely needs more attention and monitoring.
