Be careful! I have one in my passport from three years ago. When extending my retirement visa at Jomtien recently I got taken to task for not making a copy of it, even though I had entered the code. And of course the date of entry in my passport was copied. Another one of the mysteries of the orient? Or an immigration official having a bad day? Which is understandable, considering the pressure they are under at Jomtien.

Maybe he is concerned that some of the children in this school could be children of those he employed in his soapy massage parlours. How do you spell hypocrisy?????

Go to your local council. Here in Sattahip we used to pay a private contractor to suck out our septic tanks. Then found out that the council did it for a lot less. Make some enquiries.

I have just extended my O Retirement visa at Jomtien Immigration. Normally it is an easy process taking just a few minutes. They are now insisting on confirmation of address, ie TM30. Something I've never been asked for in over thirty years. I did show my Thai driving license and got away with it. Even though TM6 is now not issued when entering the country, I did enter my existing TM6 code on my application form. I was told off for not printing the TM6 even though the date of entry page in my passport was printed. I was told to collect my passport not the next day as usual, but the day after. I was in and collected my passport and one year's extension in five minutes. Then spent one and a half hours getting a TM30 processed which is then clipped into the passport. The Immigration staff are very polite and helpful and I don't know how they keep smiling under the stress of dealing with hordes of foreigners. Hordes is the operative word now. Perhaps things will be easier when the building alterations to the department are completed. I sincerely hope so. I'm getting too old for the stress. ????

And don't get dragged into something you don't want to do.????
