Not only the PM. Even in the military. My nephew who is in the Thai navy, regularly, is told he will not be called for duty the next day, then gets late night messages to report for duty the following morning. It would seem decisions are made as and when someone 'thinks' about it when in the shower. It might explain the problem when the country is lead by a military government.????

There is no doubt that artists and others in the entertainment world have been affected badly. As have many in other professions and industries. But they haven't been impacted. Grrrrr????

Something like this suggestion happened couple of years ago.. Immigration met Farangs from the Foreign Correspondents Club where various issues were raised. The Immigration top honcho sat there looking bewildered and left it to his sidekick to answer questions and receive suggestions. It went up like a lead balloon and nothing changed as I recall. 'We've always done it like this."????

Of course that is what the 90 day report is for. If you don't show up for your 90 day report the the wheels of Immigrations Hitec Computer Technology grind into action. Then nothing happens. Which proves its as much use as a one legged man in an a*** kicking contest. Not quite. It's a nice little earner for the IO when you do show up.????

If you forgot to mark the renewal date on your calendar? Or so tied up with other things you forgot? It could happen with short term overstayers.

But did those 'drunken ranters' have visas? if they did I suppose they are acceptable for the Immigration boys. Does the Brit have a criminal past and is up to no good here? Or just living and supporting a Thai, and family maybe?

It would be interesting to see what punishment they received. Very rarely is there a follow up report.
