Bow your head with great respect
thesetat replied to Zaphod Priest's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Believing in religion is ok. If it helps you to be a good person. But the church, mosque, temple etc is just a scam to use your belief so they can collect money from you and grow more powerful. Catholic church is the worst. They killed people. stole. raped. pillaged to force their belief that you needed the church if you believe in their god. They still are the most powerful entity on the planet. To me, the Pope is just another priest no closer to god than anyone else that believes in God. Why should people think otherwise? Why should this mans death be treated as more than another businessman's death? I believe in Jesus Christs own words in the Bible. The body is the temple.. So why do they use churches and demand you to pay money to make you a good person? -
Crime Taxi Driver Blocks Ambulance, Leading to Patient’s Death in Patong
thesetat replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
When it is your time to go. Somehow something will make so that this happens the way it should. I feel bad for the family of the deceased and disgust for the taxi driver. But this is Thailand and Thai drivers think everyone else should let them drive the way they want. You are supposed to move for them, not the other way around. Sad but true in so many instances. It would be a hard prove that the man's death is to blame for for the taxi getting in the way. But we all know that every minute counts when trying to get to the hospital in an emergency such as this. He should be charged for such a crime relating to the death. -
Based on what he posted in the OP. He is a regular customer. Perhaps he needs to look at himself and ask what he did to be ignored this way. I have never been ignored when shopping or needing assistance. In fact, just the opposite has happened to me. Most Thais will go out of their way to help you even if they can not speak any English.
-
@Chris Daley Did you ever think, that maybe the younger ones were showing respect to the doctor and allowing him to save face that he has poor english skills? You make this story into more than it is. As well as belittling the experienced professional. His workers at least, know how to keep their jobs.

Harvard’s Shift: How Islamist Influence Took Root on Campus
thesetat replied to Social Media's topic in World News
There are more worse way to kill someone other than putting them in. front of a firing squad. History proves that shooting someone ends their problem but creates more dissent. -
Good someone caught them red-handed. No chance of denials. A shame there are not cameras mounted in every plane to show passengers. i do not understand why airlines do not take better actions to provide security on planes to prevent this type of action. Who wants to sit cramped up for hours in a plane and be forced to watch their baggage compartment to make sure noone is attempting to steal their belongings. It is not just that someone may or may not have stolen from you. They may have searched your stuff and seen you had nothing of value in your bags. Or bypassed your cheap backpack knowing. even if they opened it, nothing of value would be inside.

Harvard’s Shift: How Islamist Influence Took Root on Campus
thesetat replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Let's face it. When 9/11 happened and it was learned that the terrorists who flew the planes into those buildings were taught to fly in US Schools. The government should have made laws and screening procedures to eliminate their influence and threat to future incidences being brought about by foreigner students influencing Americans in the schools. Schools do not care where the money comes from and will make adjustments to their curriculum and campus rules to allow those foreigners to come and feel at home. This includes allowing them to create dissent in protests and actions normally not available to them outside of the school system. The Biden/Obama era did nothing to make the schools or their students to follow immigration policies and left it up to the schools to enforce what they chose. Thus making the schools a open target for more opportunities to have foreigner extremists into their institutions. It is easier to brainwash students than adults. Foreigners influence in schools to other students would be a good plan so future plans can be used to be covert in their infiltration by changing how Americans feel about certain situations. Also, Kids like to go against the norm, ready to accept or create a fight with the system. -
https://edition.cnn.com/2025/04/27/us/colorado-springs-ice-raid-club/index.html An Underground nightclub that hosted to illegal immigrants and supplied them with drugs, prostitution and weapons was raided last night in Colorado. They even used military personnel to work as security there. Seems like Trumps immigration policy is working for now, until some judge decides to stop it.

Report Bar Brawl in Pattaya Involves Foreign Man and Two Injured Women
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Can you read? -
Really? The police had a legal arrest warrant which Judges sign prior to the criminals capture. This woman aided in his escape. She is no different from any other person simply because she is a lower court judge. She swore to uphold the laws. She should lose her position as judge as well as serve time for aiding and abetting the escape of a wanted man. It is only you who dramatize what happened to try to make these laws into more than they are so you can demoralize public as well as try to make Trump look bad. Get off your high horse. The judge did not take umbrage for them interfering. She took the man and showed him out through the back door reserved only for court personnel. Then got him completely out of the court house forcing the police to make chase which, could have endangered legal citizens outside.

Travel Weak Baht Offers Pattaya Tourism Potential Boost Amid Low Season
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
I can not believe they actually post such an OP in the news. Who are they trying to fool. Most foreigners are not so foolish to believe that a 20 satang difference in value on the baht is meaningless unless you are exchanging 1000s of dollars. -

The moon is pitted with strike marks from continuous meteorites and asteroid hits. Imagine how it will be if one of those hits the nuclear reactor China plans to put in place there? The moon affect many things on Earth. They should find another way to power a base there without using something that could destroy the Earths habitat. -
Report Thailand Targets High-Risk Sectors in Nominee Business Crackdown
thesetat replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Typical Thailand. When they learned about the Thai/Chinese company ownership being done with a Thai nominee, they decide to crackdown on all foreigner ownership to see if there are more. They of course, know there are 1000s of them. Finding them is the difficult part. They will make some news about if for a few weeks and then it will disappear just like all the crackdowns they make and laws they pass. -
