  1. The question is: the "village".
Is it a private area with security guards and managed by a juristic office? Then you have to complain there.
I know from one village, where the management categorically got rid of stray dogs.

Is "the village" actually a public area with public roads, you could complain at city hall.

    Good point.

Take the complaint to the village headman. There where six roosters crowing at five in the morning.

    Now there's none.

  2. I doubt he cares much about whether or not he gets "positive press" as you put it. I'll settle for actual factual reporting and not the usual fake news.

You're delusional if you think Trump isn't all about positive press and ratings. Much as I loathe Howard Stern, he does know Trump and is right about this one.

  3. We just had an issue with the neighbours dog attacking our dog. I chased after their dog with my big long stick in front of the owner who didnt seem to give a shit.

The next day the wife and I rang on their bell and spoke to her. We gave her 2 dog chains and told her to chain them up before opening the gate. She said she would try. 1 of the chains is from our house and has my dogs DNA all over it. Its going to annoy the shit out of one of the dogs everytime its put on. The other chain is brand new. Hopefully the problem is solved otherwise we might have to pay the police to warn her. The 2 dogs are quite vicious. My fury friend can hold his own one on one. But not 2 on 1

    I disagree davidst01.
Dogs are extremely territorial. You're the one walking it through another's turf. What do you expect it to do, smile?
Thai's allow the dogs to establish their own territory and for the most part this works, although it can be extremely painful watching a dog being absolutely dominated by another, especially when it's your dog. Just remember, dogs don't care where they are in the pecking order, they just want to know where they are in the pecking order.
If you want to better understand dog behavior try volunteering at one of the foundations like Care for Dogs. I found it a real eye opener, including one ugly mutt that would have to be carried through other dogs territories when on walks. A real character, refused to budge. I'd like to have kept that one.
The alternative is the fenced in, chained, barking, fearful, neurotic mutts back home.

  4. Canada is a great country with great people
But there is no denying that the country has become socialist
And unfortunately with the current leader will probably get worse
As this man in not.I  touch with the reality of the average Canadian
Never had to work a day In his life etc
    Canada needs new leadership
Not ones born with that silver spoon
In their mouths or where ever
My biggest fear is that due to.my age
I will not.be able to afford health care
And will be forced to spend every cent I habe and return to Canada as broke as I can get to line up for the free health care
Remember it is.only free if you don't work and have no money

Sorry ehw200, I don't really understand your concern.

Even if you're wheeled off the plane on a stretcher you'll never be refused health care in Canada. You won't even see the bill ( those damned socialists ).

If it's a minor procedure pay to have it done here. If it's a major concern get on the plane home.

The worst that may happen is you're presented with a bill for past dues ( if that province has user fees ), which on a typical retirement income may amount to 30 bucks a month. Ontario has no fees whatsoever.

It helps to have relatives or friends back home if there's a problem.

Just as an aside, a friend of a friend retired to the south of France and was diagnosed with cancer. He told the doctor he didn't have any health insurance. The doctor looked at him and said, "don't worry France will take care of you".

He died of coarse, but it didn't cost him anything.

    Note:

Canada’s poorest families pay $477 a year for health care, while the wealthiest earners pay $59,666 a year.

The wealthiest typically make a bee line to the US.

  5. Once again one of the trumpeteers mention the resignation of CNN reporters, because they f**** with there reporting. Hey, at least they where man enough to resign!
Now we are all waiting for the want to be POTUS to cough up to his lies and resign!
You better get real, sometime, because POTUS has a big agenda the comming days. But instead of working for the American people, he spend his time on twitter or in one of his resorts.
    So, who has to get real, I will give you the answer;
Trump, you and the other trumpeteers that keep defending this lying, nasty, narsistic bully.
Stop defending sombody that only shows no repect for anybody but himself. You and the other Trump fans are taken for a ride, and you don't want to see this.

  6. It the bars/clubs pay, they don't get raided.
Or if they are to be visited, they get a pre-visit warning call.

Is this really wiping out illegal activities.????

Stop the real crooks, like the ones in brown.

They're colluding with some bar owners to reduce supply, then increase prices which provides them thicker more easily collected brown envelopes from their now true friends.

  7.
The man is reportedly worth 720 pounds and this Is what he had to say...

Speaking about how he and his band mates felt by the 90s, Sir Paul confessed: “We were fed up with being Beatles.
“We really hated that  four little mop-top boys approach.
“We were not boys, we were men. It was all gone, all that boy s**t, all that screaming, we didn’t want it any more.
"Plus, we’d got turned on to pot and thought of ourselves as artists rather than just performers."

    555. Then when it became apparent how much Jackson was making McCartney asked him for a raise.

When asked how he felt about having Jackson as his "boss," as controller of the song catalogue, McCartney replied, "I think he needs to give me a raise." (None of the Beatles' royalty rates as composers had ever been increased, despite their continuing sales.) McCartney reportedly did ask Jackson for a royalty increase but was turned down, further cooling their relationship.

  8. Yeah but former Presidents did not have to deal with the corrupt sleazy media as opposition like Trump has with personal attacks against him and his fmaily.  Here's a few quotes for you:

    Kennedy:
Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer.
Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.
“The very word “secrecy” is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings… Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe… no war ever posed a greater threat to our security. If you are awaiting a finding of “clear and present danger,” then I can only saythat the danger has never been more clear and its presence has never been more imminent… For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day.It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.”

    Jefferson:
“I sincerely believe, with you, that banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies.” —Thomas Jefferson

    Calhoun
“A power has risen up in the government greater than the people themselves, consisting of many and various powerful interests, combined in one mass, and held together by the cohesive power of the vast surplus in banks.” – John C. Calhoun

    Roosevelt
“Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.”— Theodore Roosevelt

“The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element in the large centers has owned the government ever since the days of Andrew Jackson.” — Franklin Delano Roosevelt

You need to put two and two together.  Why do you think the media and the establishment is so fightened of Trump?  Duh... maybe just maybe it has something to do with his tough talk about cleaning up the swamp, not going along with Wall Street and exposing the media.  Will he fold?  Maybe.  But at this point he has a lot of people very upset that he may crash the party.

None of these quotes has to do with the media.

    Sincerely, check your meds lad.

  10. Rimping is good ,but if you have just been to Tops/Central Food shop at Central Festival ,then go there the contrast is amazing .

Tops Central Festival has the best buffet. Thai on one side and excellent ( yes excellent ) reasonable priced western on the other. Make your purchase and take it to a table in the food fair.

And believe it or not Tops Old Central has the best sushi I've found in Chiang Mai.

  11. Another name caller. What is it with the left that all they can do is say you are stupid. And add some statistics that anyone can fudge. Haha. Those same statisticians all said Trump would lose. Keep calling names if you have no basis to argue.
Tell me why you have to resort to labels in your debates. Seems pretty racist. :stoner:

You obviously didn't read any of it.

  12. Get out from under that rock or are you just coming in from Mars? The U.S. will soon be economically playing second and third fiddle to China and India. It's a given. It can't compete with those countries on market size. The U.S. is done.

Good point. And under the orange asshatchling it doesn't want to increase its market size through trade agreements.

  13.                                  Perhaps this is an issue for the 22nd century, but runaway baby-making is as much a problem as any other factor.  I read a report about young women in Syria.  About 90% of everything they said (about their dire situations) revolved around babies.  Such things as; finding a husband, keeping a husband around, making babies, taking care of babies, worrying about babies, etc etc ad nauseum.  Some of the women interviewed already had several babies and they weren't yet in their mid-twenties.   Not long ago, the average Palestinian woman popped out 9 babies - though it's a lesser # now - still untenable for a place that's a decades-long war zone.

There needs to be a sea change in perspectives.  Our species has millions of years of precedence which compels us to make babies - as many as possible, in some primitive cultures.  Women in particular and men in general aren't going to adapt to an overpopulated planet by making sound decision to make less babies.   So, the next step is to compel them to stop making so many babies.  For starters, condoms should be available for free everywhere.   Secondly, men and women should have access to free surgical tube-tying.   It should be their own decision, not forced, coupled with counseling.

It can be a strategy. In Quebec it was called the revenge of the cradle. Same as in Palestine.

  14. Sad part of this story is brides family are only interested in money, not the couples happiness only money.

The marraige is doomed before it has begun.

I went to a wedding in Lamphun with the girl friend. Apparently the size of the dowry brought many smiles to those attending with lots of good face involved. She said the dowry would be handed to the mother-in-law and she could take from it what she wanted, the rest would be returned.

Best these things are determined well before hand, and nobody gets screwed. Otherwise all hells going to break out.
