That's what agents are for will get him a bank account and help him with his o visa after that doing extensions are easy
better would be getting an agents for the bank account, if it proves impossible to do yourself, and do the conversion to the non O yourself
agents are only required for dodgy extensions etc, or if you are too lazy to do the work yourself

I would be very interested to know how many names you remember from your first day at school, I think there would be an average of about 40 in the class.
i think remembering the names would be enhanced if you then went onto other schools with the same children,
i vaguely remember being at a fenced off section of a junior school having an afternoon nap and drinking a small bottle of milk, maybe aged 4 or five, also a few other things prior to age 11, when i changed schools

always best for both parties to attend DLT, but an be done without the seller but have to get all your ducks in a row, power of attorney and transfer form both need signing by him/her, copy if non Thai of passport and visa and maybe an address confirmation from immigration, if Thai copy of house book and id card

Although doesn't come with a cheque book.
Same applies to Wise Ltd.
As Kwasaki said, Wise is the answer subject to not leaving a large amount of money in the account,
Alternatively a Thai multicurrency account.
do you not have to make a bank transfer from an account in your name, to the new Wise bank account to prove id. ie you need an existing bank account to open a new one

When we built our house I literally had to stand over the electrician to ensure he pulled ground wires and a copper spike, since he just wouldn't accept why I wanted it.
Not sure what they teach them in trade school!
what trade school,

In 2001 England I was told at my local hospital I had a detached retina, the doctor said, go home, pack a few things and get to St. Thomas's Hospital, London S.A.P, they are expecting you. I was operated on that late night.
So, 2 retina probs operated on at night, one in London, one in LOS, no hanging around.
i came down the stairs one morning and saw a large flash like a car windscreen reflecting off the sun, went to BH Rayong and was told all ok come back in a week, before the week was up i completely lost sight in one eye, just seeing black, went back to BH Rayong and was told detached retina, i lost confidence in that hospital and on the advice of my stepson went to Rama hospital where a DR was aware i was on my way and she waited, she did the op the following day at EENT hospital,
done mess with your eyes it's frightening to lose sight in one eye, i have full vision now

soi3eddie, sounds about right to me one of the wife's family did his while here on a short trip, blue house book, Thai id at local amphur, then passport at the passport office, had a birth certificate from the UK London Embassy.
there was a thread on here a little while ago about some taking up Thai nationality after arriving on another passport, and immigration cancelling the entry stamp, as now being Thai. I think it was one of the regular posters, i will see if i can find it,

Nothing to worry about. Despite popular opinion, using an agent does not commit you to use their (or any other agents service in future).
I think it can cause problems with the seasoning of the money during the year, ie 800,000thb for 3 months after and 400,000thb for the remainder of the year.

back in 2011 i had a detached retina, and bangkok hospital rayong wanted 160,000thb for the op to be done at BH Pattaya, which was to take place 4 days later, my stepson arranged for a doctor at rama hospital Bangkok to see me so a drive to bangkok was required, this doctor said she could do the op the next day at EENT https://eent.co.th/ hospital Bangkok, a laser was used to repair the tear and the eye was filled with gas, so as Transam posted above 2 weeks of laying face down, the gas eventually turns into eye fluid, total cost yes i know it was in 2011 was 80,000thb as apposed to BH Rayong price of 160,000thb picked up by travel insurance from the UK, operation carried while awake and aware of what was going on, 12 years on eye is still good, i highly recommend her https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/Somsiri-Sukavatcharin, i know the op was looking at the N East area , posted for information of the op.

In other words, the fellow is truly a pain in the _ss.
Can you picture Piers Morgan asking Ms. Ferguson about this?
and of course everything printed in the sun is the truth and the whole truth, i double check the date printed at the top

It's this government which is using refugees and immigrants to attempt to manage their own dismal performance. They will be gone at the next election. The only question is how long for.
with all these international laws, there is no need for the MP's to make laws then.
there are very few genuine asylum seeks entering the UK via France, and if they are then they should apply in Europe before reaching the UK,
in my view they need locking in detention camps and their asylum claims dealt with there and then sending back where they came from, the French are taking the p**s,

I don't ever remember doing that for an extension.
I've only written the flight number or "Friendship Bus to Savannakhet" on the form (2 sides of A4).
This person has it right as far as I recall:
7 Steps To Extending Your Thai Tourist Visa
1) Arrive At Immigration Office With Your Passport.
2) Fill Out Extension Forms.
3) Take Photos & Create Passport Copies At The Immigration Office (Pay Around 100 Baht).
4) Take A Number & Wait To Be Called To Counter.
5) Submit Forms, Passport, Photos & Passport Copies To Immigration Officer.
6) Pay 1900 Baht (Cash!) To Immigration Officer.
7) Done! Your Visa Extension Will Be Stapled To The Last Page Of Your Passport.
https://www.katiecaftravel.com/how-to-extend-30-60-day-tourist-visa-thailand/
never heard of an extension being stapled in the passport, stamped in is the norm, also no mention of a tm30

I hope to see the end of this institution within my lifetime.
In the UK, the Royal Family were the arbiters of slavery. They were the ones who owned the slave trading companies. In fact; In the 17th century Charles II granted a charter to the Royal African Company and his brother, James II, would later become its governor. Under royal blessing, the company became the largest single slave trader in British history, bringing perhaps 100,000 captive Africans to the Americas before 1713.
The family have no place in our modern world. They bring no value to the UK - Tourists would still come and visit Buckingham Palace and other Royal themed places - it's not like they currently get to meet and greet the King is it? Each time they go abroad, they embarrass themselves. Either having to apologize for previous colonial behavior, apologize for slavery or even being told that they want to break away from the monarchy and become independent nations.
We should raise our children to believe that no-one should have titles, honors, power and a lavish lifestyle from birth. These things should be earned. Let's move to a presidential system, and whilst we are at it, let's remove the house of lords. Replace it with an elected senate like almost every other democratic country in the world.
boring, rehashed info, nothing to do with this thread title, just a royal hater

I always feel cynical when people are describing a location as being a good place to live, and they tell you how long it takes to get somewhere else. ???? How is Sukhumvit to drive these days, my recollection was of slow going and a lot of traffic?
some nice Thai restaurants in Ban Chang/Phala area, Phala beach is good, Lotus's needs a refresh, but some good well priced local Thai shops are available in Phala, a couple of shops to get expat foods, fresh produce is in several locations, Robinsons mall is a new addition, nearest Makro is in Sattahip as well as a large big C with food outlets,
Suk can be avoided, as you get closer to Rayong they are in the process of upgrading it to a wider concrete road, Sattahip to beyond Ban chang with some new overpasses is completed

How do you download what you want to watch?
Id like to be able to watch ppv live so I don’t think it would cover all my needs but still something I’d like to be able to do.
live tv is harder to find, with quite a bit of buffering and of course due to the time difference its not so convenient.
use a torrent site to find the links such as YTS; 1337x; RARBG; The Pirate Bay (TPB); EZTV; TorrentGalaxy and then use a program to download to your computer, such as uTorrent, BitTorrent; Bitport; qBittorrent; Vuze; BitComet; Transmission
