That's what agents are for will get him a bank account and help him with his o visa after that doing extensions are easy

better would be getting an agents for the bank account, if it proves impossible to do yourself, and do the conversion to the non O yourself

agents are only required for dodgy extensions etc, or if you are too lazy to do the work yourself

I would be very interested to know how many names you remember from your first day at school, I think there would be an average of about 40 in the class.

i think remembering the names would be enhanced if you then went onto other schools with the same children,

i vaguely remember being at a fenced off section of a junior school having an afternoon nap and drinking a small bottle of milk, maybe aged 4 or five, also a few other things prior to age 11, when i changed schools

Although doesn't come with a cheque book.

    Same applies to Wise Ltd.

As  Kwasaki said, Wise is the answer subject to not leaving a large amount of money in the account,

    Alternatively a Thai multicurrency account.

do you not have to make a bank transfer from an account in your name, to the new Wise bank account to prove id. ie you need an existing bank account to open a new one

  4. soi3eddie, sounds about right to me one of the wife's family did his while here on a short trip, blue house book, Thai id  at local amphur, then passport at the passport office, had a birth certificate from the UK London Embassy.

there was a thread on here a little while ago about some taking up Thai nationality after arriving on another passport, and immigration cancelling the entry stamp, as now being Thai. I think it was one of the regular posters, i will see if i can find it,

I don't ever remember doing that for an extension.

I've only written the flight number or "Friendship Bus to Savannakhet" on the form (2 sides of A4).

This person has it right as far as I recall:

7 Steps To Extending Your Thai Tourist Visa

    1) Arrive At Immigration Office With Your Passport.

    2) Fill Out Extension Forms.

    3) Take Photos & Create Passport Copies At The Immigration Office (Pay Around 100 Baht).

    4) Take A Number & Wait To Be Called To Counter.

    5) Submit Forms, Passport, Photos & Passport Copies To Immigration Officer.

    6) Pay 1900 Baht (Cash!) To Immigration Officer.

    7) Done! Your Visa Extension Will Be Stapled To The Last Page Of Your Passport.

never heard of an extension being stapled in the passport, stamped in is the norm, also no mention of a tm30

I hope to see the end of this institution within my lifetime.

In the UK, the Royal Family were the arbiters of slavery. They were the ones who owned the slave trading companies. In fact; In the 17th century Charles II granted a charter to the Royal African Company and his brother, James II, would later become its governor. Under royal blessing, the company became the largest single slave trader in British history, bringing perhaps 100,000 captive Africans to the Americas before 1713.

The family have no place in our modern world. They bring no value to the UK - Tourists would still come and visit Buckingham Palace and other Royal themed places - it's not like they currently get to meet and greet the King is it? Each time they go abroad, they embarrass themselves. Either having to apologize for previous colonial behavior, apologize for slavery or even being told that they want to break away from the monarchy and become independent nations.

We should raise our children to believe that no-one should have titles, honors, power and a lavish lifestyle from birth. These things should be earned. Let's move to a presidential system, and whilst we are at it, let's remove the house of lords. Replace it with an elected senate like almost every other democratic country in the world.

boring, rehashed info, nothing to do with this thread title, just a royal hater

I always feel cynical when people are describing a location as being a good place to live, and they tell you how long it takes to get somewhere else. ???? How is Sukhumvit to drive these days, my recollection was of slow going and a lot of traffic?

some nice Thai restaurants in Ban Chang/Phala area, Phala beach is good, Lotus's needs a refresh, but some good well priced local Thai shops are available in Phala, a couple of shops to get expat foods, fresh produce is in several locations, Robinsons mall is a new addition, nearest Makro is in Sattahip as well as a large big C with food outlets,

Suk can be avoided, as you get closer to Rayong they are in the process of upgrading it to a wider concrete road, Sattahip to beyond Ban chang with some new overpasses is completed

How do you download what you want to watch?

Id like to be able to watch ppv live so I don’t think it would cover all my needs but still something I’d like to be able to do.

live tv is harder to find, with quite a bit of buffering and of course due to the time difference its not so convenient.

use a torrent site to find the links such as YTS; 1337x; RARBG; The Pirate Bay (TPB); EZTV; TorrentGalaxy and then use a program to download to your computer,  such as uTorrent, BitTorrent; Bitport; qBittorrent; Vuze; BitComet; Transmission
