It's not "up to 15 days early". There is a 15 day period ending on the due date, April 6 to April 20 inclusive, during which you can report online, and also go to the office in person. If you try on April 5, online should refuse you because that is too early, and it is remotely possible to be refused in person then. There is a 7 day grace period,

in person its 15 days early to 7 days late.

I am well aware of the usual situation.

The under consideration period is dependent on the office to which you apply.

in some offices it is 30 days from the date of application.

in other offices (Udon is one) the application date is irrelevant and it is always 30 days from the the date your current extension finishes so can be a total of 75 days

in every office that I know of the extension that is finally stamped into your passport is 365 day after the current extension finishes, this means that the day and month of the extension does not change.

The under consideration period is not the question.
a shorter than 365 days due to the passport period, is not the question.

a different day and month because of a 60 day spouse visit extension is not the question.

The report is that for 1 known user they received not 365 days but 400 days and the day and month changed.

The question is has anyone else had their day and month change because they were given more than 365 days?

The report is from the south, so region 6. The exact office is not specified but is likely to be Songkhla immigration office.

some photo's of the last extension stamp and the new one would be useful

What's the difference between the two? Everyone calls it a "visa run", the company's name has "visa run" in it, and all the other shops around pattaya mentions "visa run to Cambodia". I have yet to see anywhere advertised as "border hops"

the difference is there is no visa involved in your visa run, i agree with others a bit of canvassing on their behalf on your part.

The lady said now is low season. But surely there must still be lots of people doing visa runs now. Or are all Pattaya visa runners too cheap to pay 3,700 baht for a 6 seater VIP comfort van?

its a border hop, not a visa run, maybe people are saving the land border hops for later in the year, only 2 allowed per calender year

I've used them a few times pre-covid and thought it was a great service. Don't know why people aren't using them much anymore, my only guess would be that with the new tax situation, maybe less people are staying long term.

that's some ridicules guess, why would people doing border hops be thinking of a tax return, in 12 months time

it seems income tax is still getting mentioned in lots of threads

Can you do this after the visa expiration date?  Like re-enter just before the actual visa expires, then extend the 90 day permission to stay by another 60 days?  That would be 17 months on a one year visa!

i’ve never heard of that, but I met a guy in Savannakhet last night that said yes, one can.

the expiry date of the visa is the last day it can be used, if you enter on the day before you will get a fresh 90 day entry stamp ( the visa is now dead and can no longer be used) this new 90 day entry stamp can be extended to visit Thai wife by 60 days ( one time only)1,900thb

You don't go home straight away in the rest of the world. In Australia you will spend some time in recovery then under a period of supervision which is not short and finally would have to have a person arrive to collect you who identifies themselves to the hospital staff and signs a declaration that they will stay with you and observe you for 24 hours and warns of criminal penalties for failure to do so. Otherwise you stay overnight.

had mine done in UK, took a bus to the hospital, a short wait for the op, ( they do all left eyes first, then a reposition for the dr to do the rights) fully awake for the op, a cup of tea and a biscuit , wait an hour to be released to a driver/friend, no follow ups other than to see the referring optician, had to wear the plastic eye guard for a few days to sleep.

a year of so later a laser secondary cataract eye op, as my site was going a but blurry again, a 10 minute op in a sitting in a chair looking through a machine.

  8. you will not succeed in importing your 2nd hand car into Thailand, its not been allowed for some years, if it was possible there would be plenty of reports on people being successful.old car are imported from Japan, but they are bought in cut up, ie front end and rear end are cut apart

Thai people see the mote in the foreigners eyes, but don.t see the beam in their own. It is just getting to look like a witchhunt, or even what the Germans did before the second World War... blame a group and prosecute and deport them. And that in country that pretents to be welcoming retiring people, tourist and expats...

what a ridiculous sad comparison, some people caught working illegally and what happened in Germany in the late 30's and early 40's, you really need to do some research before allowing the keyboard to type
