'Palm oil or refined coconut oil and ANY oil that doesn't burn or smoke when heated to 175-210°C (345–410 °F) will do,
A trick is to pre-fry them very short and re-fry , for longer lasting crispiness!
Lard and beef drippings is a question of "taste"... though!

my friend in the uk was sacked from his job, he is now on 64 quid a week , she is away back to thailand as soon as he was sacked, she still demands 100 quid per month off him. let that be a lessonto you all as it is to me, some guys just cant see past it sadly
dmax why has your friend not claimed pension credits see here - http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Pensionsandret...dit/DG_10018692 i did a quick check and he could have claimed pension credits from 2006. there is a age calculator on that linked page.

A friend of mine returned to the UK on an ILR visa in her Thai passport, having been out of the UK for 22 months, they let her enter, she was only there on a three week holiday, but they canceled her ILR, all cases are slightly different, but i think the two year rule is hard and fast.

Black Mirage you have made three consecutive posts give someone else a turn, if you choose not to believe the man, then thats your choice, but let others read the posts without ALL your comments so they can make an informed decision.

I think the problem could be getting on the plane in Ireland, have you worked out the days exactly, do you arrive the day after you leave Ireland, if so will that make it only 30 days here?
-
Should have a return ticket out of the country within 30 days , why not just get the correct visa , it makes it a lot less difficult.

Interesting subject as my passport is almost full, only one blank page left. Nowhere near expiry date. As I am going to the UK in a few months I can renew it there but I worry that they won't get it back to me before I return here so I will probably wait until I'm back then get another from Hong Kong.
It just seems a rip-off. Money making by the UK government.
Apply through the post office in the UK, £90.50 for a 48 page one, very quick should be less than a week. prices shown on the IPS website are fast track ( 1 week) £120.00, same day £130.50. to apply here in Thailand have to send to Hong Kong and its about £150.00 ish

my wife and i always go through together at LHR ( UK Passport holders) and BKK ( Thai passport holders), I hold a UK passport and my wife a Thai with ILR, just makes things easier and quicker. Never been a problem.

On a similar note, I have booked to be in Thailand in the first half of 2011 for 109 days, leaving Thailand 26th April.
So if I fly to ,say, KL for a couple of days before the 7th April I should get another 30 days (presumably from the date of return into BKK) ?
I think you could extend a 90 day non immigrant 'O' Visa, for 30days at local immigration office for 1,900 baht

Horrible bloody thing, looks like it's been gently inflated with a bicycle pump.
Made me laugh out loud!!!

I think you should obtain a Thai passport it would save any problems in the future, leave and enter Thailand on Thai passport, enter and leave euro zone on euro passport.

I agree 100% People come here to get away from a law infested country but then forget
Your correct there, we moan about points on licences, for seat belts, using a mobile while driving, speed cameras, etc. in the UK. Here is a refuge from all that P.C nonsense. not that i am encouraging drink drive, as having served as a road traffic police officer in the UK, I have seen more than my fair share of 'ACCIDENTS' where the driver is over the UK limit.

Perth Australia, and Hull UK, are the only places a multi entry 'o' will be issued, unless you are married to a Thai.
Uk Appeal Documents Must Be Translated..!

lots of translators near the MFA building in Bangkok. I would re-submit the application and cover all the points raised in the refusal, appeals take a long time, six months or so, are rarely overturned and are heard in the UK. My wife's settlement visa was refused, we waited a few months, covered all the points, re-submitted and it was granted.
