  1. I never had any problems explaining a delivery driver nor tradesmen where I live. On the other hand, many years ago in the US of A it took a local person who helped me ages and numerous phone calls to find an address where the number was displayed on the house. Also many years ago in Australia, Melbourne's CBD, a taxi driver I booked had to make 3 u-turns as he couldn't find the building number. The numbers before the intersection were too low and immediately after the intersection too high...
  2. Maybe the answer is here: Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing? Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago? Where have all the flowers gone? Young girls have picked them everyone Oh, when will they ever learn? Oh, when will they ever learn? Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing? Where have all the young girls gone, long time ago? Where have all the young girls gone? Gone for husbands everyone Oh, when will they ever learn? Oh, when will they ever learn? Where have all the husbands gone, long time passing? Where have all the husbands gone, long time ago? Where have all the husbands gone? Gone for soldiers everyone Oh, when will they ever learn? Oh, when will they ever learn? Where have all the soldiers gone, long time passing? Where have all the soldiers gone, long time ago? Where have all the soldiers gone? Gone to graveyards, everyone Oh, when will they ever learn? Oh, when will they ever learn? Where have all the graveyards gone, long time passing? Where have all the graveyards gone, long time ago? Where have all the graveyards gone? Gone to flowers, everyone Oh, when will they ever learn? Oh, when will they ever learn? And for those who don't like the puritan PM - you can always go to somewhere with a PM/president more to your likings ????
  3. I'm pretty sure ambulance drivers know the local system and ask for correct directions when they're called somewhere
  4. I think eating animals without killing them first is more disgusting
  5. Seems like the suffer from long COVID...
  6. Simple. 1. Stop testing. AFAIK there has never been any testing in this scale for any disease in human history.
  7. Not sure that will help in any way. If the cold was born here and has no entry stamp\visa\permit to stay in Thailand immigration will probably want to see the child's birth certificate. That will indicate the child is a Thai national and therefore had to depart Thailand using a Thai passport. Even if they will allow departing on a foreign passport, the issue of parental consent is still there. If the mother has disappeared and no way to contact her the best and maybe only option would be to apply for sole custody at the family court. Once approved, the op can get the Thai passport and travel where and whenever he wants.
  8. I have a special banking app. After I input the account number and amount, on the next screen I see the beneficiary's name so I can make sure I'm transferring to the correct account.
  9. Airport departure tax had nothing to do with it. All countries in the world have a departure tax. Some countries also have arrival tax (US was the only 1 with arrival tax some 30 years ago, but I think now more countries have it) - but that tax also goes for the airport facilities.
  10. Duly noted, sir
  11. What's New in his post? There's a sign next to the Thapea gate that tells the story of the walls and when they were rebuilt.
  12. WOW......... You built a fortress. Fort Knox seems a little shy next to your house ???? I wish I saw this page before I built my house as I might have incorporated some of the insulation ideas but I wouldn't go that style. My house is about 150Smr including the front balcony. Big windows all around and no bars as I like to see the view outside. As for the inverter and batteries - all I want is to create a full house UPS. Electricity here is unstable with lots of up/down voltage - killing my LED lights, and very frequent blackouts. I recently learnt that Tesla makes complete house UPS systems but can't get them in Thailand AFAIK and a while back they stopped selling the UPS as stand alone and only sell it as part of a complete solar system. In the US they sell the UPS for US$10K, but again, only if you buy the complete solar system...
  13. Growatt SPF 5000 ES with Wifi Hybrid inverter Price 42,500 THB on Solar-Thailand.com Deye SUN-5K-SG03LP1 Hybrid, Off-Grid Inverter ฿47,900.00 and Deye SUN-10K-SG04LP3 Hybrid, Off-Grid Inverter ฿95,900.00 on solaris.co.th. Both Deye and Growatt mention 8V low voltage battery. Does that mean batteries included in the price or those are the supported batteries?
  14. That depends on the item\seller. For some items such as heavy dog food bags in my experience the delivery charges double when you order 2 bags. For other items such as 1 kg bags of beans I found out that the cheapest way was to buy 4 bags each time.
  15. The only way the masks MIGHT protect from anything is by proper single short time use. If you keep putting on and off the same mask all day and many even many days, hanging out around your neck between each time you use it - worthless.
  16. Any recommendations for such an inverter? One that can switch seemlesly between battery and main power and have the batteries charged by the main? Costs?
  17. What a title. If any member here would use such words it would be <deleted>...
  18. I know many people who got the earlier variants before vaccines were rolled out, all of them survived to tell the story and none of them hospitalised. Just the other day there was a story of a 105 years old Thai guy, although treated in hospital, but unvaccinated and was released from hospital in less than a fortnight.
  19. Thailand might be desperate to revive tourism but removing all COVID restrictions is the right thing to do regardless. As I wrote earlier - most of the world has moved on long ago.
  20. I think that the limitations put on cannabis so far are more than enough. No minors would be just right. Pregnant and breast feeding women is already over the top as there are no such restrictions on those women in regards to cigarettes, alcohol or any other substances that are equally and even more harmful in their condition.
  21. BS. Most of the world has moved forward long ago. No need for testing\vaccination proof when going to Europe and many other countries around the world. Nothing to do with desperation.
  22. Good morning. How is it to finally see things as they really are?
  23. First of all, there are laws prohibiting sale and use by people under 20, pregnant and breast feeding women (although it would be hard to check these 2 points as I can't imagine women allow the sellers to squeeze their boobs before settling them...). As for the fact that younger than 20 can get weed easily - that was also the case before it became legal, and goes the same for alcohol and tobacco products. The good thing, in my opinion, is that since it's legal you can get better product and if they can get weed easily it might keep those kids away from the real bad drugs.
  24. NEVER! It's mine!!! I earned each and every Stang in dishonesty and it's gonna stay in my pocket! Sincerely(?) Tony
