  2. Rus sort your avatar mate, yours is the only one i cant see, now i know most of your posts are as interesting as the little red cross that currently resides in the corner of your picture, but it would be nice to see something a little more interesting. :D:o

With respect my old monkey molester, the problem yours not mine.....!

Father Jack is the avatar, there's one or two others only that can't see it. Most can....!

I am looking for a nice restaurant, where can I invite my boyfrend for lunch tomorrow. I would like to find some place with really special atmosphere. We can have just lunch together, becouse he is busy in the evening.

    I appreciate all you tips.

    Thank you! :o

My wife really loves it when i take her to KFC, its just so romantic :D

  4. Always up for more holidays :o Everyone else gets to celebrate their Patrons day, but we English wouldnt want to be non pc so that is why we dont celebrate that and why hot cross buns are being banned in schools, in case it offends. Sorry dont get me started, i have voted and sent it on to everyone i know(so that will be at least 2 votes) :D

We want to build our own house, and live there and ake loits of friends. By the way---we intend to drive there so any help on that scoe would be ace

Is one of you Thai then? Otherwise without starting your own company i am afraid you wont be able to build your own house :o

  6. For those of us that find the rain thread very boring is it relly neccesary to start a second one here? The original and famous one is still going strong on the Farang Pub- and expat life forum.

Aww come on croc you love it really!!!!!

  7. One of the Vietnam War movies where the yank soldier caves in the "gooks" (not my word) head with the but of his rifle. Sick sick sick, in front of his family too. :o:D:D

    redrus

Gook was a really bad way to refer to the Vietnamese people. I have seen alot of Vietnam movies, but I don't remember a scene like that. Can you remember anything else about the movie? I am not doubting BTW, I just can't remember.

Yeah I agree TBB but, the word was used so many times in the movie its an integral part.

It was one of the big ones, one of the Dillon brothers was the git doing the damage with the rifle.

Yep definately platoon, Where he is standing over the guy, saying did you see that, his head split open like a <deleted> watermelon

  8. Lets hope Scotland paste Wales this afternoon. :o As for the England game, well i dont think they played that badly, its just that Italy seem to be a much better team than thay have been in previous years, and at the end of the day we still beat them 31-16. :D

England clearly had the skills on Italy, but they were out muscled in the forwards.

    Indeed mate.

Shame about Scotland losing to Wales today, the upside is England are now the only team to have won both of their matches. :D

  9. Nice car but why spend all that money on mods etc?

Why not just buy an M3 or M5, or AMG?

Here's my baby - unfortunately it doesn't have any modifications and is totally standard....what a shame.... :D

And stick it on a track and it'll piss on everything here. :D

Your having a laugh Dave. The skyline i owned pasted more than the odd M3 by considerable distance, as well as quite a few porsches and other wannabe fast boys.

The total cost of my car and mods was probably about £14k the cost of an M3 or Porsche boxster £40k plus, and about 2 seconds to 60 slower. I know which one i would rather have :D

Quarter mile straight yes ok but on a professional race track, it would beat a late model M3? :o

1/4 of a mile or race track, it doesnt matter. The skyline is one of the best handling cars in the world. Even Jeremy Clarkson said he was bored driving it because it handled so well. My mate has a new m3 and he drove my skyline and said to me not only was it faster in a straight line but also on bends.

Who wants a m3, every wannabe sales rep in the uk has one, they have taken over from vauxhall vectras, mmmmmm yeah i would really like one of those :D

  10. I disagree.

Sport is about a lot more than how good or talented the competitors are.

Hats off to the guy I hope he does well.

Indeed, well said. You dont have to win to be good, just taking part is an achievement in itself.

Total respect for Eddie the eagle, how many of you out there would have the balls to go flying off a ski jump, when you really arent very good at it?

  11. :o I want to be a kid again :D Swapping merlin football cards with your mates(always had at least 5 Brian Robsons), and wearing different coloured flourescent socks on each foot. Playing marbles in the playground with your sixers and fivers. :D And lets not forget the playing cards on your your spokes to make motorbike noises, playing soldiers in the playground and pretending to make the gun noises, spangles, wrist sweatbands with your fav football team, buliding dens in your mates garden, pink feet ice creams. Quarters of sweets from the local newsagent Kola cubes, pineapple chunks, pear drops. The packs of fake cigarette sweets with the football cards in. Coming into school early to play on this thing called a bbc micro computer, wow now they were some graphics. :D The smell of chalk dust in the classroom, still being afraid of the headmaster even after you left primary school and went to big school.
  12. A teenager, once, yes, but not American!

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion about films, it generates good debate. It's just that i'm right and all you 'Ferris Bueller's Day off' fans are clearly wrong!

I don't know mate, i'm not American either and it looks like yours is the only dissenting voice on this thread where the legendary Ferris Bueller is concerned :D

Maybe a minority of one. But i'm still WRONG. :o

I am not American either and Ferris bueller is a truly funny film, and it is nice to see you have changed your mind mittheimp :D

  13. He asked for it. "Grown up"? Yeah, grown up give, grown up get.

He didnt ask for it, he simply asked what would you do!! And fair enough you are entitled to answer with "i would give the money back" and also give the reasons why, but does this entitle you to then start flaming him? I think not.

He simply shared his experience and asked what you would do if you were in this situation, not to start calling him a thief and a fraudster, as nowhere in his post does it actually say he is going to keep the money.

Like i said before about casting stones, so you obviously have NEVER done anything remotely like this. You have never been given too much change somewhere then walked off knowing full well that the money you have been overpaid doesnt actually belong to you.

Not sure what you mean by grown up give, grown up get. If you are trying to imply that the op wasnt grown up by asking a simple question, then i think you are wrong, and in turn he certainly doesnt seem to have been given a "grown up get" answer by some of the posts on here. :o
