  1. Certainly not in my area of Kalasin, if my wife's family are anything to go by. They pretty much think that PT sold its soul to the devil for the sake of Thaksin and as a result are definitley not cheering about his return.
  2. Come up here to Northern Kalasin. It is the hills that make it so much fun, but tiring too. Fantastic views, exhausting hill climbing and fantatstic freewheeling. Not taking anything away for your 200kms though. That is amazing. I've never been anywhere near that distance in a single ride. ????????????
  3. It is one of the double standards I do not understand. Quite a few men in long term relationships have posted on Thaivisa over the years about having one on the side or that they play around, but they would not tolerate their missus doing the same (as it's wrong!!!!!!). Hypocritical sods.
  4. He now identifies as a woman? Well that wasn't expected.
  5. Having worked in a law firm for 30 years, I know that having a law degree doesn't necessarily mean you are not a moron. On the other hand, I know many very intelligent people who don't have degrees. Having a degree nowadays means pretty much SFA, apart from having a debt that needs to be paid off.
  6. I think you'll find that quite a number of PT followers are now former followers since PT joined hands with Junta and other former government parties, despite promises not to. So perhaps the numbers are not as high as that because many are aware that Mr. T was definitely involved in this decision.
  7. With the very shallow Gulf of Thailand, I think they'd be better off with one of these:
  8. Just checked the Thaiwater.net website and seen that Kalasin seems to be one of the provinces doing well for rain. Many of the medium sized dams/water supply lakes/or whatever the eff they are called are above 100% and the large Lam Pao Dam is at 77% capacity. Mukdahan, Sakon Nakhon and Ubol also seem to be doing quite well. Syled it down this morning, resulting in a canal in front of the abode. Couldn't see the mountains in the background when I took the photo, so it must have still been raining quite a bit on the border with Sakon Nakhon.
  9. I totally misinterpretted the headline and assumed one of the Super Troupers had said something stupid.
  10. In this day and age of supposed climate change, why not buy a massive elastic band. It would save a lot of money and be good for the environment.
  11. I've lived and worked here for 40 years. I have no bank accounts in any other countries. In many years past, the interest rates on savings accounts here were quite good. Unfortunately, back then I wasn't earning enough to save much so did not really benefit. By the time I was able to start putting money away the interests rates had dropped considerably. Transferring money overseas was not reallly on my radar at that time.
  12. Four months is the norm for improvised heart disease, which coincidentally corresponds with when he will be able to walk out of the hospital as a free man.
  13. The rain definitely arrived late according to the in-laws (my first rainy season here), but it seems to have caught up, which is great as I hate watering the garden and I would have needed to do that often as we've had the Taipei grass planted and it will take about 3 to 4 months to fully cover the lawn area. Actually, I'm lying. My wife would have done the watering.
  14. Decent amounts of rain up here in North Kalasin. Sakorn Nakorn seems to have been getting loads too.
  15. I thought it was best to leave bore drilling until the dry season. I've always been told Feb, March or April are the best months for this as the water table will have dropped. Requires drilling deeper but will ensure water year round.
  16. I don't think I ever encountered this with my son either. He doesn't even think of himself as luk kreung, let alone other people.
  17. I thought that if it is rejected, he must wait for another 2 years before he can reapply.
  18. I think the pardoner needs to think carefully on this. I don't think it will improve his popularity rating.
  19. It is in the news that Anutin Charnvirakun will be the new Interior Minister. Hope this doesn't negatively impact current applications, but he is viewed as a racist person, particularly against Westerners.
  20. Passed through the tiny peninsula of Udon Thani yesterday on my bicycle ride. Three provinces in one day, Kalasin, Udon and Sakhon Nakhon. Sore as hell now but enjoyed myself. Noticed a big weather difference between the Kham Muang (North Kalasin) and Sakon Nakhon side of the Phu Phan range. Beautiful area and even though those hills were killers on the way up, they were fantastic on the way down.
  21. Tadafafil (Cialis) is prescription only. Drug stores selling it without prescription are doing so under the table. There are loads of streetside vendors along inner Sukhumvit in Bangkok selling a variety of performance enhancers including Cialis, but they are doing so illegally and there is no guarantee you are buying genuine product. Buyer beware.
  22. Standard daily dose of tadalafil (Cialis) is 5mg for treatment of BPH. It is also the same daily dose for treatment of ED and/or PE. However, Cialis is very expensive in Thailand and prescription only. Despite the patent having expired quite a few years ago, generic tadalafil is not available in Thailand, or it wasn't the last time I checked in about 2020-21. From checking just now, the only Thai companies that have registrations with the Thai FDA for generic tadalafil are Pinnacle Chemmed (tadalafil is not listed in their APIs on their website) and Sai Pharma (which is a supplier to Pinnacle among others). The Cialis brand registrations are owned by Zeullig Pharma in Thailand, as they entered a partnership with Eli Lilly for distribution of this drug, among others, in Asia.
  23. Wouldn't it be funny if this turn of events was true but as a result of his plans for getting a pardon going tits up, i.e. stress levels through the roof causing heart issues. Very unlikely, but we can always hope.
