the remote device (webserver or router) would keep an ARP/RARP table that would be able cross-ref an IP address with a MAC address but its lifespan is fairly short to stop the ARP/RARP tables getting too big.

yes - its possible but unlikely they would, most would trace via IP.
ISPs will often register your internet account using MAC ID, as it cant be changed like an IP address. I use Telewest Broadband here in UK and thats how they do it.
There is no way that i know of to remove the MAC Hardware Address from the Network Card - you would need to remove that network card and replace.

2 things (not shocking) that stand out as being a bit strange for me but the norm for thais to see...
soi dogs getting mowed down on the toll ways going out of bangkok - our car just missed em but the guy behind hit all 3 up in the air - i saw our taxi driver watch the event in the rear view mirror but not so much as raise an eyebrow

I'm glad you got the answer you AND I were looking for! I hope this thead is not dead, for I have more questions on Thai gold. I usually go through Dubai on my way to Thailand and it seems to me the quality and price is much better than in LOS. Anyone have a comment?
Hmmm not sure - i had a week stop in Dubai before going to BKK - which was plenty enough time to browse the gold souq there - the price was better i think but as for quality i dont know.... i was more interested in the white gold and there didnt seem to be much difference...

animated gif is no longer animated on your PC
right-click rename to *.bmp or *.jpg and reopen - the animated gif should be animated once again.

you may be having trouble as its animated..
what happens if you "save as" the image as its current file type, then rename the file extension once saved?

thanks - very true indeed - it p**ses me off when people feel the need to remark when talking about their thai gfs or wives as being intelligent, educated with a degree and a have a good job... as though they are amongst the most savvy farrangs for getting such a good catch
so what - my wife too is intelligent, she is incredibly bright, the fact that her family were to poor for her and her sister to continue school at 13 is no indication to her intelligence... just their circumstances.

Spent my first Xmas & New Year outside of the UK in Patong a couple of years back, being a tourist hot spot xmas was catered for in a big way if a little cheesy.... but still good fun
we all had a fantastic time and id recommend it - although sadly Im guessing it may be a more somber affair there this year as they mark the 1st anniversary of the tnsunami.
