For my B visa extension we just print pictures on normal plain copy paper, and If i recall correctly we printed black and white one year with no issues.

A bit off topic maybe but some what related. A friend of mine in Europe wanted to purchase an insurance for a car he had not used in some years, And the Insurance company asked him to take a picture from all 4 sides of the car with an Apple on the roof as a proof it was not crashed.

I did it in person and they say Sorry they forgot to update. Next time can do online. I got an error saying that no previous report was found with my new passport number.

Thaksin enforced the law from 1971, and I heard the reason has nothing to do with schools. For schools it is a law with a distance from where the school is located. For this 2pm - 5pm ban I heard it was because they wanted the governmental staff to go back to work after lunch and not stay in the restaurants drinking the rest of the afternoon.

The law was not introduced by Thaksin, but Thaksin make many laws including this to be enforced. And yes, very stupid law. Saw an interview with some governmental ministers, and they could not answer why the law is there or why.

Apparently they are scrapping the TM6 totally, at least for some time...

You are lucky that have a 10 year Passport, many has only 5. and in reality its 4.5

Hi I have been together with my Thai GF for 10 Years and have been living here in Thailand longer than that. We decided that we will get married, and want to do the legal registration first, to have the ceremony at a later point. We checked with one lawyer, and he quote us 30,000 Baht that do not include government fees and cost for translation and certification of any documents. Also no WHT or VAT. This sounds very expensive to me. Any one knows if price is fair, and if not do you know af anyone that can help? Lawyer or Agency? I also asked this lawyer for help to become of Thai nationality, and for that he quote 1,500,000 plus all fees. Eagle
