  1. Because most foreigners does not pay tax in Thailand. Foreigners with Work permit or Pink ID card should pay Thai Price. I know that at some places they refuse to give Thai price anyway.
  2. They might have checked out from their hotel in the morning to go to this restaurant and then check in to another hotel or continue travel to another place and might not have been able to store it somewhere.
  3. Are you talking about Apple? From where have you heard they will stop making watches?
  4. I charge my Apple watch every third day and is wearing it 24/7 except for a few charging hours, thats enough battery life for me.
  5. I got it approved today on the last day, but they count my 90 days from my application day 2nd October, not from the approval date today 12/10
  6. Applied on line to CW 10 days ago, still pending, last report day is Tomorrow.
  7. It's a Thai Man Falang, watch out it might be dangerous if swollen whole.
  8. As I understand only people working for a BOI company gets digital work permit. I asked to get one this year when my blue book ran out of pages, but I got that answer and they stamped my new WP with a Red stamp on a page ment for Change of category of work.
  9. Depending to where he donate his money. Some charities is tax deductible. Rotary Club of Bangkok foundation is one example of that.
  10. That happens when you do not adjust your driving to the weather conditions.
  11. These small accidents has always happened they are nothing new, the only thing is that they became "news worthy" after that lady lost her leg.
  12. If you want a high quality kitchen you can contact these guys at River City Bangkok, https://www.germankitchendesign.co.th
  13. IMHO. maintenance and service of any vehicle is more important than the KM. I know a guy who bought a car and drove it for 100,000 km with 0 maintenance just refill oil when oil pressure warning lamp started to blink. He topped up coolant also occasionally. Another friend bought a second hand car where the service book was missing. He took it to a self service garage and wanted to change oil. When he took away the oil plug the oil come out was more like tar than oil. Probably also never serviced.
  14. I’m not sure why anyone should answer these questions in a public forum. It’s give Google and Metas crawlers free private information. I could tell you if we meet over a beer someday and if you wanna know. But on the other hand I will not. You might put my life story in this forum as well. Also not nice to tell your friends story. He might have told you privately because he wanted to ventilate a bit. Hope he is not suicidal and figure out his story is for everyone to read.
  15. Why do they put the bikes registration plates in the article? It does not ad anything to the story other than relatives might read it and get the tragic news from a web site. Apparently it was not the cars fault also. From Thaigers website: So I believe the bikes crashed head to head beside the car.
  16. Elevators usually has a backup source of electricity. Should never stop in-between two stories if there is a power out.
  17. I guess small accidents like this happen all the time. A friend of mine lost his toe when he was a kid. He was pushing his rubber shoe forward towards next step when going up to the top of the escalator. If it wasn't for the girl that lost her leg I believe this would never have reached the news.
  18. Police must have put it on him because when he was hand cuffed he did not have a mask. Probably not to risk getting from him.
  19. I think you can register with revenue department to get it payed out by Prompt pay. Last years I had to pay a little extra so no need for return.
  20. Yes, Apparently the only time you have to visit the issuing branch is when changing ID number like when you get a new passport, or if you change name/surname, everything else branch offices can do for you.
  21. I have no idea why on earth I would complain? Have I ever complained that you get a service that apparently no one else gets? I'm happy for you but not so sure you get the same service next time you need to update your bank records with your new passport. And on an interesting coincidence note that was exactly the BBL branch I went to I was staying at Lumpini ville 77.
  22. From Bangkok Bank home page. I wonder how they changed yours.
  23. I first went to to closest branch where I live, they told me I had to go to the branch I opened the account, so I want to the branch in Ari because I thought I opened the my account there, They told me again, I had to go to the branch were I opened my account and they told me i have to go to Central Ladprao. Very strange if two offices tell me wrongly.
  24. I also had to go to where I opened my BBL account 14 years ago to change Passport number. I also have to wait a week to update so I could update my account with face picture, but that can be done at any branch.
