Lone Kuwaiti Tourist Fights Off Five Young Teen Robbers in Pattaya
Chelseafan replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Unfortunately necessity means that parents have to travel for work. Look at bargirls for example, do you really think they can support their kid while they are out on the game? Good grandparents will raise good kids but as someone else alluded to, there are a lot of bad or indifferent Grand-parents out there. -
Bangkok braces for severe outbreak of three diseases
Chelseafan replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Quire right but there should be no expectation that said person will get medical care if they become infected, although having said that, the same could be said for smokers, heavy drinkers, the obese etc... -

I've finally persuaded the missus to take driving lessons. She has arranged with an instructor to take a one week course (not enough in my opinion). I asked her if the instructor is insured if my wife is driving the car - seems not and I have to pay around 5000b for the additional insurance. Is this the norm ? Surely as a driving instructor she should have automatic insurance for her pupils ?

Yes, the nurse screwed up and if the child had died or suffered some lifeterm disalibilty I might be more inclined to agree with you in this particular case what benefit is it to anyone to dismiss her ? This wasn't deliberate, it was human error and IMHO a severe reprimand with additional training would be a better solution. Medical malpratice happens all the time - are we going to sack every single practioner for every mistake they make ? I agree a large compensation package should be negociated - Fines tend to focus the minds of those in charge to improve conditions and safety standards

Thai Interior Minister Orders Stricter Age Checks at Bars and Clubs
Chelseafan replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
"He urged venue operators to ensure that patrons don’t use fake ID cards or those belong to their older peers to stealthily enter nightclubs" In the land of fakes, spotting a fake ID card might be somewhat challenging. What are the bar owners supposed to do ? Any ideas Anutin ? No ? -
I'm not sure the biggest problem is in Pattaya. I see it all the time in the sticks.
