  1. I got the Tinnitus also & some High Frequency loss in one ear. Don't really notice much difference with hearing things...but then if I can't actually hear them, how would I? smile.png

Tinnitus doesn't really bother me too much, but wish I didn't have it.

Had it about 5 years, hasn't changed.

  2. There does seem to be quite a few bitter & sarcastic people on here, but more than any other site, I'm not sure.

I have been a member on another site for more than 5 years - not thai related, & there's often trolls & idiots on there too. Gets very tiresome at times.

I try to post without emotion ie not get upset with some of the daft comments; no need to 'throw in the towel' Buhi - just ignore them. smile.png

  3. Do you know of a source for similar stats about cases of the flu in Thailand?

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4353321/

    Conclusion

Influenza vaccination coverage among young children in Thailand was low, although vaccination was moderately effective. Continued efforts are needed to increase influenza vaccination coverage and evaluate VE among young children in Thailand.

    There's this also.

And this, which seems to suggest only a 50% efficacy - haven't read all of it though.

  4. Have a read of this:

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23724936

    CONCLUSIONS:

Acid stimulation of the distal esophagus results in increased parasympathetic activity and concomitant broncho-constriction in asthmatics irrespective of their reflux state. This strengthens the hypothesis that GER triggers asthma-like symptoms through a vagally mediated esophago-bronchial reflex and encourages a possible role for anti-cholinergic drugs in the treatment of reflux-associated asthma.

  5. I've taken Miracid for a long time after being intially prescribed it for GERD. At the time I also had a Barium Swalllow, which was 'interesting' (read bloody uncomfortable)

I read that PPI's can often increase E2 (Estrodiol) in men, but just cannot find the articles - they're on PubMed somewhere. I'd like to stop taking them at some point.

As Sheryl says though, I think you need to see a Pulmo Doc too.
