How closing petrol stations at night will solve problems is beyond me. What about emergency vehicles needing petrol at night? What about all the fresh food being transported from rural areas to city markets at night? What about the lost income from people working at service stations at night? Etc.

Before demanding action from others, Thailand needs to closely look in the mirror at its own behaviour.

Basically ditto. I went to the Embassy web site, found the passport renewal page, read the details, filled out and printed the completed application form, got pics (get a jpeg or similar copy also, just in case the pics are not up to standard), sent off to Embassy - new passport arrived about 3 weeks later. Very very easy, no dramas; apart from a telephone call from the Embassy (2 days after I posted off the application - pics not on appropriate paper, please email jpeg of pic). Good luck.

Great idea, and Baron Trump can lead the special forces into combat, from the front of course, with assistance from Trump's other children. We know that Don Jr and Eric have had "combat" experience in Zimbabwe in 2011 when they "took out" a "terrorist" elephant - heroic bravery is certainly in the Trump genes.

Sadly, I cannot disagree. The current Trump administration cares little about the consequences of its actions, at home and internationally, as long as the actions bring "benefits" to Trump and his billionaire cronies. Killing innocent people, destroying the environment/planet are of no concern to Trump and his cronies. And the evidence to date suggests that anyone and anything anywhere can be a potential target of Trump's moronic thinking.

Pure insane madness. How many expats living in Thailand continuously for 10+ years have current valid home government-issued photo ID? Close to zero I imagine. My bank here asked for a home government-issued letter with my full name and address back home. Luckily I had a recent Australian tax refund electronic letter from the Australian Tax Office with my full name and address, as well as Australian Tax File Number, on my phone. "I need a paper copy not an electronic copy." was the response. Went to a photocopy shop, printed out the letter, back to bank. Letter rejected!!! Why? My name title in the letter (and for the Thai bank account) had the title "Dr", the passport had no title!!! FFS Is there any hope here?

I received the SMS late last Wednesday afternoon. Went to my local KrungThai Bank on Thursday morning - it was already half full of farangs (many with Thai partners), there were more Thai staff at the bank than Thai customers!! Waited a long time in a very very slow moving queue. Number called. Go to the bank officer, show her the message, explain that I filled out the form etc. last year, handed over bankbook and passport. The bank officer next to the one serving me, said that the message was sent out to "everyone". The bank officer serving me said that all my details were correct and up to date. Did my smiling thank yous and wais, and walked out - Thai efficiency at its best. What a total wast of my time and putting more pressure on the staff, for those of us who have already completed all the required procedures.

The USA, the land of cognitive dissonance, where the Christian Bible and Hebrew Torah are misinterpreted and distorted, seeming more like the words of Satan than of God. Where the Ten Commandments are not followed or enforced. Where basic humanity, as preached by Jesus, has been dismissed as woke culture. My guess is that the vast majority of Americans who have a Christian Bible or Torah have never opened the books, let alone read any of the teachings. What about the hidden nerve agents, biological and chemical weapons in Israel? And do not forget China and Russia, as well as the honest USA.

How can you protect Thai exports, when you cannot protect Thai products and producers from (illegal) Chinese imports? The government, authorities, regulators, etc. allow illegal Chinese products and producers into Thailand and to openly operate in Thailand (with official protection?); these products and producers are putting Thai businesses out of work.

Totally disgraceful. Yet another indication of the total incompetence of the RTPF. Major reforms to RTPF training required.

Seems that these Israeli "tourists" are competing with the Chinese and Russians to become the largest foreign criminal group in Thailand.

With ICE's activities over recent months, potential tourists have been advised/warned (sometime by their governments) not to travel to the USA. Associated with this, some have been advised/warned not to go to the USA for this year's FIFA World Cup matches. Now, after the Fascist USA-Genocidal Israel attacks Iran, once imagines another set of warnings about travel to the USA travel will be issued. America is safe says Trump!! If the Ministry of Public Health had more qualified clinical psychologists it would help. Sadly, many of the overseas qualified psychologists in Thailand end up working for business or in the advertising/marketing industries, where they make a lot more money that they world working for the government.

Not surprised, considering the actions of President Trump. I was deeply disturbed yesterday to read that Trump has started terminating the employment of thousands of medical professionals in Veterans Affairs medical institutions - so much for Trump's "respect" of US veterans.

Chinese investors or scammers or triads? The Chinese "business" invasion has already destroyed many small Thai businesses, and created hardship for many Thai families. But, blood is thicker than water, so the Chinese-Thai businesses are happy to welcome new "blood" into Thailand, and hopefully will be granted new profit/business opportunities in the "motherland".

Just the beginning people, Trump plans to control all of the Americas (to be renamed Trumpland). Expect another invasion next month. Trump seems to think he is on a winning path (what Epstein files?), so strike while he is "hot".
