  1. Not buying a product you dislike manufacturer's ceo of is one thing. Torching another man's vehicle because you dislike or hate manufacturer's ceo is something totally different. It is my choice if I say - I don't want to have anything to do with Elon so I'm buying a BYD or Deepal or whatever, instead of a Tesla. But destroying someone else's property, regardless of reasons in the head of the criminal should be penalised to the highest degree laws allow. This isn't making a statement like gluing themselves to the road or throwing a can of paint at a bulletproof glass in front of Mona Lisa painting. People have gone mad. Or maybe they've been that way all the time, now it just came out.
  2. I don't think anyone needs to attack Tesla or protest in front of their shops... Just wait until the news spreads that their cars aren't screwed together, but glued... and that the glue is failing and panels falling off their so special Cybertruck... https://fortune.com/2025/03/14/elon-musk-tesla-cybertruck-delivery-halt-owners-complain-of-metal-sides-falling-off/ On Thursday, EV enthusiast site Electrek reported Tesla delivery agents as saying all outbound vehicles have been stopped amid concerns that the glue holding the exterior stainless steel panelling in place is failing. Who wants a car that's glued together? If that sounds like you, reach out to Elon. With only 5% expected sales target reached, he surely has some in stock for immediate delivery! Duct tape NOT included!
  3. Fox is hardly a trustworthy news source, much more a right-wing propaganda machine.
  4. Wait till Americans realise most of their Boeing airplanes are made in Europe and Asia, they're only assembled in the USA.
  5. 30 years back when I was studying, one of the topics on finance was about debt vs revenue and when it exceeded a certain percentage, it was no longer possible to service, which in history always led to wars, since if the country couldn't provide revenue to service debt, they had to steal someone else's riches to do that. Got reminded of it a decade or so ago, when only a couple of countries were near or slightly over that percentages, but now... well, most of the World has crossed that line, especially in aftermath of pandemic. If we consider historic learning, we should at the verge of a massive global war.
  6. Well, US is deporting illegals. Why can't Thailand do the same?
  7. Same problem World over with the same idea how to fix it - postpone it to next generation (except one country where social security is apparently a Ponzi scheme and should be privatised, so it can all be stolen immediately). Now it makes me wonder - could that mean Thai retirement visa age requirement may also raise by a decade?
  8. Intel was building US-government subsidized plant since 2021 and was supposed to open in 2025. That was just pushed to 2032. So not particularly short time either. Or maybe that's just Intel's incompetence. Don't forget ASML, manufacturer of machinery required to make most advanced chips is from Netherlands, and would nearly certainly close shop to US companies if US touched Greenland, a territory of Denmark/EU.
  9. No such incident yesterday on MRT but something weird... Walked into the purple line station yesterday and noticed at least 30 new cameras installed. Easy to tell they are new, not just because they weren't there before but because there's not 2 cm dust cover on top of them... Anyway, first time ever, security guard wanted me to empty pockets and others to open even smallest purses to see what's inside. On the train, there was a security guard entering every station at the back of the train and walked towards the front. That is also something I haven't seen before. Is this about that deportation to China or is there another security alert out keeping public transport on their toes?
  10. Do you support acts of terrorism against US congress?
  11. You're forcing Thailand to take side? They'll take China side. Why are you staying in country you hate?
  12. Brits actually have some of the best sense of humour on the planet...
  13. Recommending British Embassy to close entire consular section and replace it with announcement: Due to AseanNow popular vote, consular section has closed. If you need any assistance, get yourself a plane ticket to UK and visit local office there. If you can't afford one, open GoFundMe account with some sad story, or else apply for AseanNow membership for ultra successful and SAS veterans there to donate you a ticket home. If you've been arrested, rot in peace, ya piece of [deleted]. Sincerely, ex. Consular team of the British Embassy, Bangkok.
  14. Said a man completely brainwashed by one pathological liar...
  15. That's exactly what you are doing since before elections.
  16. You're blaming Canada for being a lousy parent?
  17. My colleague from China sent me a photo of blown up government building in Sungai Kolok and asked me if I was OK... thinking that happened in Bangkok. That images went all over Chinese media. So I have a bit of doubt TAT's optimism is justified.
  18. This is what happens when you give internet access to conspiracy theorists who had trouble passing 4th year of elementary school. Come on Yagoda, you can do better than that. Did you know Earth is flat, aliens run Area 51, and COVID was caused by 5G antennas?
