Nazi, not fascist... Nazism prioritised racial ideology and genocide, whereas Italian Fascism focused on nationalist and totalitarian control without a central racial doctrine. -
I don't think anyone is forced to go and see a doctor. You're free to self-treat a disease as long as you're isolated from others should you have an infectious disease, so nobody else suffers from your beliefs. I am confident though that all in your homes, there would not be a sign of a medicine or food supplement, instead you'd be keeping lots of dried herbs, as the nature has all the answers. And before invent of medicines and treatments people lived healthy for 100s of years, it's just when all this medicine arrived, the life spans started to shrink tremendously. Surely average lifespan in 1800 was 250 years?

PM Paetongtarn Denies Allegations of Concealing 4.4 Billion Baht
tomazbodner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
True representatives of the poor people. It was completely no intent to deceive by forgetting about that pocket change of 46 billion baht. I mean everyone carries that in the coin pocket of their wallets all the time. Easy mistake to make... If I could have an opinion here: if any politician or public servant "forgets" to declare assets, then those are of no value to them and should be confiscated by the state, and handed over to revenue department to be used for programs benefiting the public or paying off government debt. -
Thailand Opts for Gripen Jets Over F-16s in Defence Upgrade

I don't need your clues. But man, you really need to move to Cambodia, or Laos, or Myanmar, or Bangladesh, or Philippines... I'm sure 1MDB was also pure fiction and never happened, so whichever other country you move to, you'll be absolutely safe in knowing you live in a perfectly managed country where government would not spend a dime on anything stupid like defense (or filling their pockets), and invest all they have into their people. There's a paradise all around us, or so I am made believe... by you? -

I had a problem with new Oppo phone - some banking apps detected threats and shut down. Could not figure out which app did it. Now it seems clear. Oppo/Realme preinstalled some apps which have full permissions set, and cannot be removed (well, they could be with ADB but would likely be installed back after next update). Fineasy is one of them, which has caused lots of noise in past few days and hit the media. While Oppo promises to provide a way to uninstall those apps through update, and stop including such apps in the future, right now you can only remove it by yourself with ADB in developer mode, or take your phone to Oppo service center to uninstall it for you. Alternatively, you could disable it - tap and hold on the app, tap on manage, Force Stop the app, tap on Disable app, then clear cache and clear data under storage. For those more techy... Adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.fintech.life Unsure whether Bangkok Post or The Nation links are allowed now, so admin, please remove them if not allowed: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2938130/complaints-as-big-phone-brands-pre-install-loan-apps https://www.nationthailand.com/business/tech/40045081 Snippet from above links: "The council [ Thailand Consumers Council ] is calling on government agencies, including the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee, the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, the Office of the Consumer Protection Board and the Bank of Thailand to investigate the issue promptly to protect consumers from potential online financial fraud." So if you have an Oppo or Realme phone and use them for anything important, do take notice and disable preinstalled apps, or take it to the service center to get it done for you.

Those unfamiliar with bum-gun should stick to toilet paper. Thai way is putting it in the bin next to toilet seat and not flush it down. Bum gun doesn't have to be squeezed all the way to the end, and on the wall, there is usually a valve where you can set the pressure of it. But you can also set the pressure on the handle itself. -
Phuket Airport tourist cries fowl over 3,000 baht Subway sarnies
tomazbodner replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
While I don't visit Phuket, I do have Subway at DMK or BKK quite often when flying. And from the price breakdown it's not far off what I pay. Now, I don't add everything they have in the fridge to my sandwich, but with what she's ordered, I think the price is rather reasonable. The bad part is on the staff at Subway branch, which will likely have that deducted out of their salaries, since sandwiches were already made by the time she refused to pay. I hope company's management reads this as well (I bet they would have seen this story) and waives that. I don't know. I would not have made a fuss like that. All prices are listed at the board, I believe add-ons as well (if they are not, maybe it's time to put them up). A year or 2 ago I went to a translator in Pattaya (long story, but they are far more used to dealing with foreigners than they are in Bangkok and could get things done in hours rather than weeks) and stopped at a similar place to Subway at a shopping mall facing the beach. The place was nearly empty. Looking at their prices I could understand why - they were same or higher than at the airport. I guess they were charging for the location? Nonetheless, I was already there, accepted it and paid for it. After all, it's not like the staff working at the counter or putting food together set those prices. You order, you pay. -

If reported to captain, he could have done what RyanAir did - land the plane half-way to destination, put the guests in hotel, calculate damages, and sued the disturbing passenger for 15000 EUR. https://news.sky.com/story/ryanair-suing-disruptive-passenger-for-causing-flight-to-divert-13285915
