  1. Putting up with the appalling driving is a small price to pay for living in this wonderful country.

But while we're all letting off a bit of frustration,

Up here in Esaan, the local government, in its wisdom, has started to build roundabouts everywhere.

The only problem is, nobody seems to have a clue how to use them.

They eather stop on the roundabout, and give way (yield) to approaching traffic, or pull out on me from the left when I'm on the roundabout.

I think they should show a public information film during the commercial break of all the Thai drama's, or stop building them and replace them with Fai deng.

  2. I've had dealings with several builders here in Thailand, and also several lawyers.

Some of the builders where bad, but some where good.

Unfortunately, none of the good ones are in the Udon area.....but when it comes to the lawyers, they all took the money and run.

Trust me, you would be better letting it go, before it costs you more money, plus your faith in humanity

Thanks NSD. Remember trying that with yellowing lenses on car headlights, but just tried it on this and doesn't seem to have any effect. (Maybe I shouldn't have used the "sensitive" version?)

Maybe put a hair dryer or heat gun over it?

Your last resort is always chemicals.

    Something will remove it...

You just have to find out what.

  4. You could try using a bit of colgate toothpaste on a micro fibre cloth, on a part of the visor that isn't in your line of vision.

If you can get it clear, then do the whole lot, and replace it with a lightly tinted film.

Seen the colgate thing done on YouTube with glasses with uv coating.

  5. I believe that Scottish pounds need to be repatriated through the consulate, as apposed to the bank of England, so it's more expensive to change.

My friend went all the way to cao San Road once from phuket and changed it no problem,

But that was before covid, and before they moved the street traders on.

If I were you, I would ask on the pattaya forum.

My AIS fiber internet speed is pretty fast using power 4 special mash router 200/200 Mbps paying 950 baht a month but still get a lot of buffering when watching ITPV that has 13,000 channels on it for US$25 a year subscription, so i though maybe if i'll upgrade the box i'll have a smoother viewing experience hence this post to solicit ideas and feed backs...

You could try factory reset, then install the iptv app again and log in.

Maybe that will work before having to fork out for a new box.

The one you have is still pretty decent.

  7. Before buying a new box,

Why don't you try closing all background apps, as over time, they affect the speed of your device, and create buffering.

There's a dedicated app to close background apps, but I forget the name.

    Google will know it.

Its available on the bulk downloader that starts with F and ends with Linked.

Also, you could factory reset your box, then it will auto update to the latest available version.

But then, you would have to install your favourite apps again.

  8. In my opinion, you're carrying a big heavy back pack full of bitterness and resentment toward your brother.

Warrented or not, it won't do your wellbeing any good at all.

Just let it go and move on and try to be happy.

Console yourself with the fact that all that stuff that you left in the garage, you have done without it for all those years, so you don't really need it, and if you're ever in a similar position in future, just sell everything before you leave.
