  1. I had the same thing happen to me on my last visit to imm.

My wife, in her wisdom, informed the officer that we had 2 addresses, and that we where now sleeping at the undisclosed adress.

We had to fill in new forms, and wait for a home visit.

Not that much of an inconvenience, but had my better half been able to keep shtum, then we would have been dealt with that day.

Wishful thinking on my part to think she could keep a secret ????

I think in these trying times, although you may not want to or agree, just get your neighbours agent to get you 1 year...finish your building and enjoy time with your family...next year you are good to do yourself...

The best advice, under the circumstances.

I don't see any other alternative,

Weather they are pushing the op to use a agent or not, it seems the only way forward to me.

  3. You can get a yellow book if you are single.

You just need permission from the owner of your adress.

Having a yellow book isn't essential, but once you have one, you can apply for, and receive on the same day, a pink Thai I. D. card, which can be quite handy on occasions.

  4. Do you have WiFi?

If yes, then you can buy a ip camera with WiFi that has playback for around 1500bht on lazada.

If you don't have WiFi, you can buy a sim card camera with battery, or even solar powered, but these are more expensive.

I think they start at around 3000bht.

I hope you manage to catch them in the act.

I'm sure that the silk will be missed, but what they may have done to the dogs is discussing.

  5. I have these pipes running from a storage heater to our kitchen and bathroom in a small apartment.

I insisted on them, as I was sick of fixing blue pipe all around our old house.

The builder installed the system a few years ago, when we where in Europe, and all works fine.

I had no idea that you needed to heat the joints to connect them until a few months back, I saw the contraption for sale in global house,

So next time I run into the builder, I asked him, and he said he glued them.

He also didn't know about this heat sealing machine.

So far, after around 3 years, we've had no issues with the glued pipes, but next time, I'll be doing it myself with the machine.

  6. I've tried to take a pessimistic view about the government figures, but I just don't see any local cases, whereas back in the UK, I've had friends, acquaintances, and a family member contract, or die of covid, so I'm buying into what they're saying here, and even though I see plenty wrong with how this country is run, I have to say, they've left that blumbering bafoon "Bojo" looking like the useless living stealer that he is.

  7. I'm surprised that it's not pulling out of sidestreets without looking, or overtaking when it's not safe to do so, oh, but that's OK, because they flash their lights to oncoming potential victims.

Oh, and not to forget the old favourite of cutting the corner at a junction when turning right, or stopping on a roundabout to give way to cars approaching the roundabout.

I don't see many problems on the road, involving speeding cars, but I have seen cows walking on the road with more road sense than most of the drivers.

  8. They've done a great job stopping the spread.

    Masks.

    Lockdown.

    Alcohol ban.

    Cerfew.

    Contact tracing.

I don't know anyone here that has died from covid, but I know some people in the UK, and read about a lot, every day, in a country that's supposed to be more advanced.

I think that totalitarian governments have an advantage, because they can exercise more control over its citizens,

Where as in the UK, the kids are acting like there is no pandemic, and the authorities have to suck it up.

  9. New wiper blades, and a good clean using washing up liquid, mixed with lemon juice or vinigar. After rinse, polish with water mixed with fabric conditioner.

If you don't see a drastic improvement, then wash again with washing up liquid and water, but then apply RAIN X, or a similar product. Rain will just roll off your windscreen in beads, and you won't need to use your wipers.
