Wise now allows very low daily and monthly card spending limits
I think Wise is not trustable company. Many banks do not want to work with Wise, and many bad reviews from customers. I do not dare to send money with Wise.

Pink Card
For me, the pink card is really beneficial. For opening a bank and brokerage account, obtaining an address certificate, TM 30, free entrance, or with lower fees in some Thai parks and facilities, and buying government bonds. Do not need to take a passport with me as Thais accept it as ID for foreigners.

Thailand Suspends Accord with Cambodia Over Border Landmines
This isn't good for the Thai economy. Many Thai companies export to Cambodia.

Why choose Cambodia?
There are many more scams in Vietnam than in Cambodia, where the "Easy visa " is great and cheap. I like Siam riep. I was mugged in Phnom Penh, and it is a perilous place to live. Thailand is a much more secure place with much better infrastructure. Alcohol is cheap in Cambodia, but food is better in Thailand. I think Cambodia is cheaper than Thailand, cos. currency, and you can pay with dollars anywhere.

Thailand's Aviation Fee Hikes May Impact Tourism Recovery
They cut the tourist numbers already. If they want quality tourists, they must change many things, like pollution, garbage, drug abuse, scams, quality construction, which will not collapse in an earthquake, etc.

Income tax on foreign-sourced earnings within this year
As I know, we (foreigners) are not tax-free for foreign income in 2024. I filed my tax form for 2024 in the Jomtien Revenue Department. I had to go 3 times to give them more information and documents about my source of income(retirement), with monthly specifications (electronic signature accepted). I had to provide them with all my bank accounts and remittances from abroad in 2024.I had to provide them with doc. that I pay taxes in my home country! I had to fill out a form in which they asked me many tax-related questions. Now I am still waiting for my tax return (if any). I paid taxes on dividend income in 2024.

Why long-term expats in Thailand say insurance is worth every baht
The MR of my leg I paid 6600 BHT. In a private hospital same MR was 40000-50000 BHT. Besides, I was waiting 2 hours in Bang Lamung hospital for an X-ray for only 3000 BHT(leg and arm). Yes, you must wait, and you will save a lot of money! In a private hospital X-ray is from $223-400$ X 2 as far as I know.

Why long-term expats in Thailand say insurance is worth every baht
Not true. Health insurance is very costly here.

Tax Regulations On Transfer Of Foreign Assets?
I have a Tax ID and claimed the tax return for 2024 based on dividend income (approximately 19,000 BHT). I did not remit any money from the EU (as a citizen of the EU) in 2024. I was asked to provide additional documents to RD, like my source of income in my country, for every month, with proof of paid taxes(pension). I had to give them all my bank accounts in Thailand and my bank accounts in the EU, with all remittances to Thailand. Besides, I need to provide my brokerage account with a bank account from which I made transactions, and all TSD forms of dividends paid with taxes. I provided RD with all documents on Friday, and now I can just wait.

Why more retirees in Thailand are switching to long-term health insurance
I am 68 as well, and there is no proper insurance for us here. No need to try to find a good one.

Why more retirees in Thailand are switching to long-term health insurance
Or go to the state hospital and pay a reasonable price until you can go to your country! Nobody can take your life savings if you are clever.

Why more retirees in Thailand are switching to long-term health insurance
Well, I am from the EU, and almost everybody has health insurance there. I have lived here 14 years and I have a pink ID card and can go in any state hospital here. For major issues, I can go to EU.I am 67 years old and insurance here is more than 800 USD per month which is not acceptable for me, cos they do not cover any pre-conditional issue. From my knowledge they brag about money people mostly do not have money or have a little bit. For major problems, I can go to Vietnam Da Nang Private Hospital as well, cos it is much cheaper and the same or better quality. Besides I have more than 1 million BHT in my accounts here for emergencies. I am fully aware that people over 50 are not savvy enough to pay so costly insurance here and they can save much more if they make their money funds.

Why more retirees in Thailand are switching to long-term health insurance
Who wants to pay health insurance in LOS? It is costly and does not cover pre-existing conditions.
