Rather paradoxical that 2 popular elected Prime Ministers exiled for corruption charges and 1 potential candidate for prime minister Thanathorn arraigned for criminal charges and LM and can't stand for election while more serious crimes like staging coups went under punished and one even rewarded for 8 years as the premier. Meanwhile a drug dealer who sided with the cabal miitary was cleared by the court to be a cabinet minister and corruption charges of generals and ministers swept under the rug by the NACC. The political injustice is obviously clear even if the Shins are corrupted like all Thai politicians.

Your facts are wrong. She didn’t cheat. It was about the entrance exam leak and few students were alleged to benefit. The university investigated and could not determine any conclusive evidence. She won a seat in the sociology and anthropology programmer at Chula faculty of Political Science. How did you get so wrong!

A poll on leading choice for Prime Minister may be flattering but doubt she is interested in that role for now. His dad said that just couple months ago that he doesn't envision his daughter even contesting the poll. Thaksin see her in a learning curve and view the importance of her role in uniting the party ready for the election and a more youthful party image. In Thaksin own words Ï am not dreaming too far yet. I just want her to help with the academic work and bring people together to brainstorm ideas". Personally, I do agree that she need few more years in a political position to garner experience and relationship with the powers and people. But she definitely has all the attributes to be a future candidate for prime minister.

In a recent Washington Post article, Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony was speculated to be another John Dean moment. She has spent almost 20 hours with the Jan 6 committee in previous hearing. She likely to testify about her direct knowledge of Meadow's efforts to help Trump steal the elction by sabtaging the electoral count in Congress. Borrowing the words of a disgraced leader "be there. Will be wild" at today's hearing.

What's that sound? Americans whooping in joy at the exchange rate!
Eric Loh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Not a secret that central banks in Asia spend billions in their foreign exchange reserves to slow down currency declines. Evident in their sliding reserves including Thailand. -
The FED hasn't hiked interest rates this agreesive in decades. So far FED has hike rate by 1.75 percentage points this year and will most likely to push rate all the way up to 2.75-3 percent. How will BOT respond and is there risk that the FED hike does more harm than good to the economy. A recesssion will take the sail out of dollar strength.
-
BOT this morning at an analyst meeting has dropped a big hint on hiking interest rate. Their focus will be on monetary policy adjusted in a timely manner to keep inflation expectation anchored. BOT will hope that it will reverse the capital outflow and stablize the Baht and together will tourism increasing that will creat demand for Baht. Don't think it will effective to strengthen against the hefty rate increase by FED but certainly possible to stabilize the Baht which is much needed for the economy.

Ex-Trump aides say six House Republicans sought pardons after Jan. 6
Eric Loh replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
Considering Brooks and others who sought pre-emptive pardons are the inner circle of the coup plot, the pardons will be be indirect evidence of a logical inference that the fact exist in court case. Not good for them and Trump. -
