  1. Majority of civil wars since 1946 have broken down along ethnic and religious lines. I pray that you right but I still will pause for concern.
  2. Media pushing?? https://www.politico.com/news/2020/08/19/republicans-mail-in-voting-trump-398774 What about this statement from Brad Raffensperger. “Georgia is a leader in election access,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “Notwithstanding the pandemic, voters in the Peach State can take advantage of no-excuse absentee ballot voting by mail or through a secure drop box; three weeks of early, in-person voting; or Election Day voting.”
  3. Nice attempt to try abscond blame on Trump but at least you restore some sense of intelligence by taking a stand against an despicable and lying grifter. Pentagon and the US Intelligence community didn't predict that the Afghan security forces would collapse so quickly and dramatically and offer no resistance. There is a failure on the intelligense side and a lack of coordination with European allies who felt betrayed by the American exit. Biden failed in providing leadership but not all his fault.
  4. The US-Taliban agreement by Trump to withdraw troops by May 2021 started the devastating collapse of the Afghan military morale and was the catalyst for the country collapse. The agreement has a psycological impact for the soldiers who switched to survival instead of fighting mode. Trump shared the blame with Biden for the country falling to the Taliban.
  5. Correct when he was a young socialist but he split with the movement and rode a wave of anti-socialist violence to fascist power.
  6. Trump’s central ground likely to be oligarchy. Still worse than progressive. Think about it. He is anti-immigrant and anti-black policies, refused to denounce his most extreme and violent supporters from the neo-Nazis and white nationalists in Charlottesville to the Proud Boys. He also planning to gut the DOJ with his loyalists to go after his enemies and not his friends. You support those kind of egregious actions.
  7. You can't say election is rigged without an iota of prove (none in 60 court cases) just because you didn't like the outcome. By the way, majority of Americans trust that elections are fair, are confident in their state and local governments'ability to administer elections, and trust the results regardless of whether their preferred candidate win. Only the majority of Republicans who bought into Trump's lies about nonexistent widespread fraud still think election was rigged. Mostly those without college degrees. Those with college degree trust elections. Facts matter.
  8. Zero carbon footprint is achieving a balance between cutting the amount of Co2 produced and remaining emissions re-absorbed from the atmosphere by forest and oceans.
  9. They are treated the same. Abbott cleared state authorities to return them after apprehended to the border. Not at all clear how the state law enforcement differentiate type of migrants.
  10. You forgotten some of Trump's best ideas like shoot migrant's legs and building alligator moat. Fools seldom differ on ridiculous ideas.
  11. Quite right except that US is the second largest greenhouse gas emissions at 4,745 million metric tons while India is third with 2,310 million metric tons (2019 data).
  12. Seem a very sensible gun bill. One win for the majority of Americans. Just showed what can be achieved when lawmakers are not held ransom by the NRA.
  13. Thailand is a small economy which is dependent on export and tourism which is about 60% and 7% of GDP respectively. Global dynamics have major impact not just Thailand but other small economies in the region.
  14. This is the fourth time Prayut’s and his ministers has been put to a vote and the opposition did a good job to grill him for four days live on television. I think the opposition has no grand illusion that they can win. The opposition accusations live on TV and Prayut’s cringe worthy lack of substance rebuttal will further damaged his image and popularity with the general public ahead of the election. This was an attempt by the oppositions to discredit the ruling 17 party coalition before the next poll and they did an excellent job. Money and time well spent.
  15. If the judge sentence him on consecutive charges, he may get 2 years maximum. Deserving justice for an evil man but out in 2 years is still a threat to democracy. He is only 68 and he will be even more diabolical in the destruction of democracy when he is out of the slammer. I hope that the DOJ has sufficient evidence to criminally charged him for Jan 6 insurrection.
  16. His action or rather inaction was indefensible. His loyalists are abandoning him. Even staunch deniers in this forum have not come out strong in his defense. When will Trump's fatigue sets in for his base who still believe in his big lie.
  17. The outrage continued with the army spending more than 7 M Baht to hire the National Science and technology Development Agency to test the 700 GT200. Already fake but wait, the army still want to spend 7 M to determine whether they work. The devices were just 2 pieces of plastic glued together with an antenna attached and no internal mechanism or battery. Anyone can test with just a screwdriver without need to pay 10,000 baht a piece said Rangsiman of MF Party and he was so right.
  18. DailyBeast headline so apt. Steve Bannon promised "HELL"at trial, but Punked Out instead. Talked a big game outside the courtroon but inside the only words he uttered were "Yes, your honor". Just waiting for another Trump's loud mouth Peter Navarro to cry like a baby in his contempt of Congress case.
  19. That itself was a mockery of a constitution when written by long supporter of coups Meechai Ruchupan. Besides the controversy of writing amnesty for crimes relating to the coup, he paved the way for a non-elected to be appointed as prime minister.
  20. Only in Thailand when someone admit that he is the sole coup maker and get away with it. This is a sickening mentality among some generals that staging a coup is their entitlement and they are doing the country a favour. Every coup is a body blow to the image of Thailand's political stability and economy. The generals are doing a hideous disservice to the country and ought to stand trial for illegal seizure of a legimate elected government.
  21. Scratching my head why many here become overly upset and emotional over a "target". Every organisation has a target; that's prerequisite for planning.
  22. Many ethnic groups emigrated to Siam from native southeast Asia, Southern China and North East India. Government policies during the 1930s and 40s resulted in successful force assimilation of the many various ethno-liquistic groups in the country into the dominant Thai people, language and culture. Same as in Malaysia, Indonesia and Philippines. You seem to take a historic shortcut to make your point.
