  1. I am in exactly the same boat. Not only did my lawyer take my money and do nothing, she is now representing my ex husband. Try the guys who give free advise here. Siam legal. They seem to know what they are doing. Good luck with it. You are really going to need it.

Siam Legal are not the firm offering free advice.

I used Siam Legal when i needed a lawyer in Thailand, and they were extremely professional, better still the lawyer i was dealing with was an English national who had previously practiced law in the U.K, they done exactly what they said they were going to do and in the specified timeline required.

They were quite expensive but they do what it says on the tin and should the need arise, i would definitely use them again.

  2. Interesting......just talking to a friend yesterday who had a French guy try to pickpocket him on the BTS. Be aware folks.

How did he know he was French? was he wearing a beret, a striped jersey , and a ring of onions round his neck??

just seen that someone else asked this, my badwhistling.gif

  3. How could you forgive that trumped up self proclaimed peoples medium for the damage his dems have done to the people and the thai economy .

You guys really support an appointed reform committe hand picked and a hand picked pm by this mob of elitist thugs who deny the basic rite to vote.

Lucky you guys don't vote.Oh hang on that's right you support sutep the vote nazi!

    No vote for you!

Nothing you say has anything to do with how I feel about thaksin.

I was here when his extra judicial killing war on drugs was in full swing and when his inept policies in the South sparked off the civil war again.

He is a cancer for Thailand and nothing he does is for anyone's benefit but his own.

He is a fugitive criminal and I just expect criminals to go to gaol and not to dictate the terms of their amnesty.

    Well said Bluespunk!!!

  4. i don't understand why there is so little sympathy from other expats when someone is in trouble.

I don't know this guy, and I don't know if he is guilty or not. However, he is innocent until proven otherwise.

If one of my friends was in a jail cell I'm pretty sure I would not rest until I'd managed to secure bail, and I'd expect my friends to do the same for me.

It's somewhat shocking that none of his fair weather friends are there to support him

Come on now, the guy's been caught with a high amount of drugs and a set of scales! Unless its not his and he can prove that its not his then he is as good as guilty. I mean just look at his face. I presume he knew the cops as he worked along side them, so you would think they would give him a break and grant him bail if they had any doubt what so ever in regards to this stuff being his.

He should have known more than anyone the consequences in messing with illegal substances in Thailand, he was a tourist cop for christ's sake. How many "guilty" people did he nick??? I for one have no sympathy for people who want to dabble in this kind of thing in a country they are staying in as a guest. Karma is a bitch!

  5. I lived in Issan for 6 years and I loved living in Issan, one thing about Thais as i'm sure the majority of you on here know is if you act like them you will be treated like them, if you however decide to bring your western ways here then you will be shunned at every opportunity. Western arrogance, tempers and "common sense" do not have a place here and if you display these traits you soon become known as an idiot, harsh but the truth.

So...If you use "common sense"...you will become known as the village idiot...?

read again ggt. I said if you displayed so called Western "common sense" you will be known as an idiot, not "Thai "common sense" which is another thing altogether

  7. “Ms Somkid called Mr Onyinyechukwu asking for 2,500 baht worth of cocaine. They arranged to meet and make the exchange at Mr Martin’s place at KK Apartment,” said Col Suttichai.

Mr Onyinyechukwu soon arrived at the apartment with 5.45 grams of cocaine.

That must have been some primo sh*t for that money!!!

Poor guy, 1 gram of weed! The Mexicans now have to source a new kingpin to distribute there wares around Phuket.

  8. Next time he does this just take the opening and shove it in your bag and when he comes up just say

DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM ?

Or even better when he comes back and asks where it has gone, you can say that you have no idea as you are blind and any donation would be appreciated as you are also collecting for your " charity"!!!

  9. You will never feel at home in Thailand because the Thais don't want you. They want your money then you need to get out. It may feel familiar but that is the best it gets.

What you are feeling is just a phase that we all go through after being in a different country especially Thailand.

    Frankly I like it.

    Bit Cynical Expat!!

OP, buy yourself a bottle of Sang Som, a pack of Krong Tip's, get smashed, smoke all the fags and then wait for your girlfriend to come home after she's been abused by some dirty old farang, beat her with a stick and then go to bed so you can start the whole process over again the next day.

There, do you feel like a Thai now:)

Didn't know this was poker. Cause it looks like a pair of Douches above me. cheesy.gif

i can barely write this message because i am laughing so much, don't give up yer day job Scotty, that is unless you are a rent boyclap2.gif

  10. I need to find a different place to live while our house is being built

Sorry to sound crass but I fail to see what is stopping you? I'm afraid I couldn't read through all that. Far too early, and I've not had my tea yet.

I think you need to "man up" and get tough with your wife, be Tarzan, pick her up, tuck her under your arm, carry her out of the house, bung her in a cab to the nearest train/bus station and get out of there....You can rent a pleasant place for 20K THB almost anywhere.

When her sister visits you at your new home, be sure to treat her as she did you.

20K THB!!!??? Whatthefudge. Why do i see these insane rents all the time on here - sub-10K is more than enough out in real Thailand. I pay 6,000 for a modern duplex 2-bed house with an air-con and gardens etc - come to economical Isaan ! :-)

I agree!!, I thought he meant 20k for the year!! because thats the time period he stated it would need to complete his house.

  11. Musicians aren't allowed to have a personal opinion that differs from the fanatic Red Shirt opinions.

No one is allowed to have a personal opinion that differs from the Red Shirts, guided by their supreme thinker.

Just wait and see if he ever gets back and takes full control. Censorship, political schools for the masses, re-education camps for those who won't submit perhaps,

    sounds like the khmer rouge
