What all 10 in any one country in SEA. Let's see....Indonesia - nope. Philippines....again nope. Malaysia perhaps....nope. Singapore and HK...definitely not. Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, China, India, Papua New Guinea, Myanmar..... sorry. Which one(s) were you actually thinking of?
I think I had you on ignore in your previous incarnation, so I'll just add you to the list again.

Oh come on...broaden that small mind a tad why don't you? Here are ten off the top of my head reasons:
I didn't bother to copy your list because there was nothing on it that couldn't be done better in another SEA country.
Even cannabis is easier in Cambodia, openly on sale everywhere for $10 a bag.
There were even bars selling joints over the counter, and everyone smoking them in the bar.

No taxes on your foreign pension in Portugal for the 1st ten years. Officially and verifiably taxfree, not untaxed but taxable like in Thailand.
It's a socialist government, they could change their mind in the next budget, if they do your house will be worth nothing.

Well for those thinking about Cambodia, seriously look at the human rights abuses there.
I have a great deal with most governments, I don't bother them, they don't bother me.
So far it's worked out in all the countries in the world I visit or have lived.

It was always the initial filing of paperwork that was the problem.
I couldn't even get an appointment without an agent, or queuing all night.
Getting the approved stamp 30 days later never took more than 30 minutes, even at the worst of times.

Can't say I've noticed my former wifes rellys or my girlfriends family getting more prosperous.
In fact they all seem to be really struggling these days, not even worth planting rice on their farms any more.
You must know a different class of Thais to me.
Or more likely, you don't know any Thais like many of the posters on ThaiVISA, because you can't speak one word of Thai (beyond 'farang')

Cambodia, and Vietnam have far more culture and better quality culture.
Unless you like gold painted temples and fake smoking monks with i-phones.

if he asked I would give him some money, he already has had 200 to top up his phone, 40 for a haircut .
I never gave them money, but paid them all to go to school.
Current rates are 30bht/day for my 7 year old, 100bht/day for my 20 year old daughter.
It seems to work, and they never want to miss school.
School holidays are a very sad time for them.

Yep, spent some time in Oz over the years and IMO the fresh fruit and veges as well as the meat, have to be some of the best on offer anywhere in the world as regards quality and price.
Australia is the most expensive country in the western world.
You might cherry pick a few items that are cheaper, but just your property taxes would overwhelm the whole basket.
Not to mention your manly oversized women,
My Brit son just reproduced with one of your women, and she is taller than him and twice his weight.

I would agree with the marriages, but only the Thai officials and tourist touts seem to hate white guys.
If your experiences are different, you probably can't speak and understand Thai.
Last week,
Leaving Thailand at AranyaPrathet and entering I certainly got the impression the immigration officers hated me, even though I had a perfectly good VISA, they clearly were looking for trouble. 15 minutes examining my passport pages on the way out (Dude, you only need to look at my last entry stamp and completed exit paper), and 10 minutes of questioning on my way in (Dude, you only need to look at my current VISA, and entry paper) <deleted> do they think they're up to?
Why did you leave Thailand? 90 day VISA entry expired.
Why are you entering Thailand? VISA says to look after my children.
How long are you staying in Thailand? VISA says up to 90 days.
Where are you going after 90 days? Out of Thailand.
Where will you go when you leave? Not here again.
When are you returning after that? Not your business.
You can't make this stuff up.

Is this really of interest to us?
Seems more like scaremongering to me.

Why Do you think that life in Cambodia is more pleasant, or cheaper?
Almost certainly cheaper, but who can say if more pleasant? that depends on you and what you want.
A pal who lives in Pattaya/Siam Reap says he spends $45/day in Pattaya and $25/day in Siam Reap.
Lives the same life in both towns, Hotel/Indian curry/beer.

Do all the translations also need a stamp from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs?
So for the application here is the checklist - anything not necessary?
- father's passport + colour copies of all pages
- father's original birth cert + colour copy
- mother's ID card + colour copy
- baby's birth certificate + colour copy (translated and stamped)
- marriage certificate + colour copy (translated and stamped) * not sure this is required
- utility bill
Looks good, apart from ........
Fathers long version birth certificate ........... they won't accept a short version birth certificate.

So, is it the kids or the sexpat scene that keeps you here?
Don't get me wrong, i like to party, but i sorta grew out of the girly bar scene about 13 years ago, coincidentally about the same time my wife was pregnant with our son.
I have kids, no wife (she went).
And I'm too old for sex (especially after 10 beers).
But I don't see anything wrong with a bit of flirting and horseplay in a girly bar of an evening.
Like I said, it's only my Thai children that keep me here, they get free everything as Thai citizens, too expensive to start shipping them around the world. Not that my 20-year-old daughter would want to go, she's happy at university with her mates. My son's only 7, doubt I'll get the chance at another country before I'm dead.

I think Vietnam or even the Philippines would be better than Cambo
Been to those places, Cambodia was a fraction of the cost, and probably more fun.
Vietnam was a bit cleaner if that's important to you.
Just for comparison.
Power cuts, in a one week period, 3 in the Philippines, 1 in Cambodia, none in Vietnam, 1 in Thailand.
Data SIM for 1 month works perfectly well in each country,
Philippines 200 peso, Vietnam 200,000dong, Cambodia $9, Thailand 300bht.

But it would seem rather questionable if a person moved their entire life to suck cheaper suds.
My pals were sinking 10 pints a day, so 800bht in a Thai girly bar Vs 150bht in a Cambodian freelancer bar.
Add on a couple of drinks for the girls on your lap Thailand 300bht Vs Cambodia 30bht.
That adds up to a 1,100bht ($40) night out Vs a 180bht ($6) night out which is a big difference.

I want to loss my weight
in I'm Too Fat Forum

Less calories in, more calories out = less weight.
This is science you can't argue with. I lost 5Kg in the past 6 weeks just by calorie counting.
If you exercise 2,000 Calories in a day, and only eat 1,500 Calories, your metabolism isn't even a part of the discussion.
