What is the advantage of an expensive smart phone?
BritManToo replied to OneMoreFarang's topic in Mobile Devices and Apps
My Poco M3 (6.3") phone does all of that for 3,700bht. I really don't understand what I could buy that would be better .................. -
I always assume they're drinking coloured water. I'm just paying for their time. As for Stickman, found him very dull, but some of the readers letters were amazing. This one from 'Anon' was amazing ......... The Rosetta Stone of Women's Behaviour. https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/readers-submissions/2009/11/the-rosetta-stone-of-womens-behavior/ 'Men love women, but I truly believe that women are incapable of what we men call love. “Greater love hath no man than that he lay down his life for his friends.” How many women are willing to die for their husbands, friends, country, or comrades in arms? Damn few, if any.' And this one ....... Thai Smile Expiration Date. https://www.stickmanbangkok.com/readers-submissions/2018/09/lesson-2-thai-smile-expiration-date/ 'The famous Thai smile has an expiration date of about 18 months. Sometimes a little longer, often less, but it always expires. And like fresh milk, eventually it turns sour.'

You do realise YOU don't have to pay for your gfs actions. I prefer a tint just enough for the police not to see I'm a foreigner when driving.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2022)
BritManToo replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I watched the whole season last night. Episodes 1-5 were great (including the small female cop naked). Episodes 6-8 became a bit silly and unbelievable ....... just wasted my time. -
Have you made as many male friends as you thought you would?
BritManToo replied to Grecian's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Many of us have learned not to let anyone know where we live. I've noticed Thai people only allow relatives and neighbours in their homes. -
The start of my new 'Off grid' Solar install.
BritManToo replied to BritManToo's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Been thinking about batteries ....... 50Kbht for 12KWHr ...... I think I can build it cheaper. One of these @3,400bht (16s, 48V, 150A with bluetooth) A nice touch screen display @1,300bht And 16 x 200AH LifePo4 batteries (used) @ 6,300bht/4 ....... Only bought 4 as I need to see they aren't selling swollen batteries. Estimated total cost around 30Kbht for 10KWHr. Not sure if I need an active balancer with this BMS, can buy it later if needed. -

BritManToo replied to Grecian's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Made some good friends when I came to Chiang Mai in 2009. Mostly dead now, 2 left alive, one in Cambodia, one in Oman. Haven't seen either since COVID. Doubt I'll bother with any new friends now. Tired of them dying on me.- 83 replies

If you claim online there are no difficult questions, and no paperwork to send/copy/translate. No need to declare you're married, they can't check. Just set your VPN to London, and fill in the form. -

Where To Buy Solar Hybrid Inverter And what to buy
BritManToo replied to Pink7's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Prices are falling all the time, assume anything you buy today will be scrap in 3-5 years. Just ordered a 5.5Kw Hybrid (48v, wifi) unit from China for 13k5bht delivered. How much will all your separate parts cost? -

BritManToo replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Just downloaded it, managed to watch 1/2 episode. Unbelievably tedious, poor sound quality, and the lead actress (from The Truman Show) has aged badly. -
Same in the UK, My Brit son asked me when he was 20 ......... "Dad, if I've been dating a girl a couple of months she'll sometimes let me have sex with her but doesn't appear to like it much, why is that" I replied, "Best ask your mom, she's been like that for the last 30 years, and I haven't a clue why" That was before I encountered Thailand, where the girls appear to want to do it even when you've already paid and just want to fall asleep. I'd never encountered women who wanted to have sex before.

BritManToo replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
This 12KWHr (48V 260AH) LiFePO4 battery claims 5,000 cycles at -10c to 45c Not bad for 50Kbht. If a little heavy at 108Kg. https://shopee.co.th/BYD-LiFePO4-แบตเตอรี่ลิเทียมฟอสเฟส-ยี่ห้อ-BYD-ขนาด-1P16S-48v-260Ah-เป็นโมดูลสำเร็จรูป-ใส่JKBMSมีActive-2A-ใช้งานได้ทันที-i.35505682.10250909131 -
Just ordered this ........ 13,400bht through Shopee, delivered from China ........ 10% cheaper than ordering from Thailand. (Also appears to be sold as Y&H and EASun). Thinking of buying a 48v @260AH (12KwHr) battery to go with it ........ 50Kbht. https://shopee.co.th/BYD-LiFePO4-แบตเตอรี่ลิเทียมฟอสเฟส-ยี่ห้อ-BYD-ขนาด-1P16S-48v-260Ah-เป็นโมดูลสำเร็จรูป-ใส่JKBMSมีActive-2A-ใช้งานได้ทันที-i.35505682.10250909131 108Kg seems a bit heavy for the battery ......... lots of battery choices now.

PROS AND CONS, for/against Honda Wave v Honda Click
BritManToo replied to mercman24's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
Had both ......... Click 125i was too heavy for my 15yo daughter to control. She was fine on a Wave 110 though. Now she's older (22) and riding a Click 150
