  1. Romance and flirting! Once you're living in a LTR the romance and flirting is out the window. But out with a pal last night in Loi Khro I had a really pretty 25 year old playing connect 4 with me while feeling my leg, then later in the evening a slim 48 year old telling me all about her life in a Lisu village and how the bar pays her no wage, just 90bht for each lady drink. Sometimes it's nice to have one a much younger woman pretending you're attractive to her. Ps. LK is currently packed with young and attractive women in many of the bars. It's quite extraordinary!
  2. Judge said 5-10 years (which I thought was a bit harsh). And with a criminal record, he'll never work for the government again. (Pure speculation on my part, as I didn't understand most of what was going on).
  3. That's why sentencing is in May, no money paid gets him 2x jail time. Not actually a win for me as it was the public prosecutor Vs him (not me Vs him), I was just a witness to his crime).
  4. Judge ordered him to pay 200kbht to me in compensation, then return to court in May for sentencing (which I play no part in, and am not required to attend). I was paid 300bht cash for attending as a witness, and had to sign a form agreeing to taking no further litigation in the matter. All proceedings in Thai, they ignored me and just talked with my wife, who doesn't really pass on much to me. Filling out the forms for the compensation payment by bank transfer took twice as long as the court hearing, and was equally incomprehensible. Surprised really, as I expected nothing, and only filled out the police report to get the government minimum m/c insurance to pay my hospital bills.
  5. Google translate says "causing serious bodily harm" Which I then equate to GBH in a British court.
  6. Serious bodily harm is a criminal offence, not up to the police or me what happens.
  7. Neta v, 450kbht new, 300kbht 1 year old, hardly expensive!
  8. Update Sitting outside the courtroom right now, not really sure what's going on, will find out soon. Hopefully this will be the end of it.
  9. I use Dairy Rich for all that needs milk. It's fine.
  10. Dairy Rich milk powder, available everywhere and on Lazada. Around 220bth for 7-10 litres. Tastes just like real milk, make as little as you like, or just stir in a teaspoon into your tea/coffee. https://s.lazada.co.th/s.uqwpy Full cream is best!
  11. How would you be able to tell if your potential ebike battery Was safe without breaking it open? Or do you just trust the Chinese manufacturers to tell you? My emtb is parked and charged where there's little to burn. 35kbht from Bangkok e-bikes. Range 50km+
  12. Research, as in browsing new world order Google propaganda? Remember when all COVID 'disinformation' was removed or hidden on all platforms. How all male supremacist/red pill sites were defunded? Just how much value do you think the information your overlords allow you to view is worthwhile? Obviously, researching harmless practical information like how to make jam is worthwhile.
  13. When was your country (Australia) last invaded?
  14. I am not responsible for the people who rule my home country!
  15. Nobody who believes fairies live at the end of their garden can be classed as 'good', some are harmless, some are dangerous, all are mentally unstable. Same goes for all that believe in any form of the supernatural. All should be banned from public office, leaving their home countries, or entering another country. Let the country of their birth deal with their madness!
  16. This must be the only shop owner in Thailand that wouldn't puncture the tire of every scooter parked in front of their business.
  17. They didn't notice last renewal. Don't think they bother looking in the old passport.
  18. Easier just to not tell anyone you moved!
  19. It's up to them (women) to choose, they were all ok having multiple babies with him. This is the thing with freedom of choice, you can choose to be a breakfast maker, if that's your thing. Bit odd a socialist having Heil Hitler in his forum name though!
  20. Was woken up at 4am by my son and wife running in from the upstairs patio (where they had been camping in a tent). The rain was pouring down (rather odd for February in CM) Couldn't get back to sleep so now lying on the sofa with a cup of tea and a packet of ginger nuts, browsing the forum, reading a book on my Kindle (wormhole mana power), listening to the rain pounding on the car port roof. Wife sitting on the floor playing with lottery numbers, teen son still in bed. It's actually quite nice, maybe I'll get up and make another cup of tea.
  21. This is where I'll be in 5 years ..............
  22. I'd fall asleep before I got home if I tried that!
  23. Ambulance service slow and has no trained medical staff on board and zero equipment. Essentially you're dead before you get to the doctor. Then there's the poor diagnostic skills of many Thai doctors, who form opinions of your illness in an instant and then allow their Thai pride to not only stop all further thought, but will stop all other medical staff that might have a different diagnosis. Essentially their pride will kill you. Then there's the poorly trained lab staff, who often produce erroneous lab test results, or even type the results of other patients in the wrong files.
  24. I cycle down the hill past there every day on my way back from Wat Doi Tairn.
  25. School bus 1,500bht/month collect and drop off at my door. Health insurance, free as Thai citizens.
