  1. I'm a wuss. I just order something else and have a beer while waiting. I live in a small town with lots of good restaurants and not worth damaging my reputation. Last week I even changed restaurants and started fresh. Nice to have a little cash and lots of time.
  2. Take your word on penis size but you do have a better sense of humour than most.
  3. If, big if, this passport was stolen I would presume it was his 'Thai" wife. With a little money and all her contacts it would be easy to return to her family and wait for him to beg for her to come back. Young guys here seem to marry these hot tempered type. Doubt it is a Brit because all he would have to do wait at airport check-in. On second thought - maybe that is his plan. Love these articles missing most the important details.
  4. Your a pleasant chap but not your fault considering your Dad is SH!!!!t head.
  5. Where do they plan on living in Thailand? What country are they citizens? How is their health? What type of coverage do they have now where they are living and the cost? Knowing this might change some of the responses above. There are always options but we are in the dark here trying to help with basically no info.
  6. Interesting and may ad to my new toolbox. Have you suffered from severe sinus infections in the past? This last week has caused me to reevaluate my approach to severe sinus issues the last decade in Thailand which were debilitating when living in Chiang Mai. I stumbled into using pseudoephedrine 10 years ago and it became my miracle cure. I would stress if I didn't have at least 10 pills ready for the next flair up. I travel all the time which is difficult because hospitals only dispense the pills. I got over this last episode by diligently cleaning my nasal passages and almost got the same almost immediate relieve I got with Pseudoephedrine. Made me think. My sinuses are trying to clear something out and once the process is started they overreact that causes the weeks of drainage. Pseudoephedrine stops the drainage but doesn't resolve the what caused the issue in the first place, Prolific cleansing my sinus passages resolves the root issues which is clearing the irritant. Long post but for those in Thailand with severe sinus issues this search for a remedy, I'm sure will be understood. Thailand is arguably one of the worst places to live with sinus concerns and a sinus infection can destroy you for weeks.
  7. Games I doubt have much if any impact but I bet there is a correlation between extreme enthusiasts and them becoming killers even if gaming isn't the cause. Last game I played was Asteroids in an mall arcade 30 years ago. Didn't make me feel the urge kill but obviously I'm a little out of touch. I did punch my brother after he took me off the Pacman leaderboard.
  8. THE ABOVE ^^^ Carbs are the enemy and dropping all breads and basically all processed carbs produces big weight drops. Have a long term plan in place after initial big weight drop because 90% of people just put the weight back on in a year. It is also nice the first week when most shed a kilo or two of water weight which reduced bloat. Comes right back when you add the carbs back. I cut back on carbs as I aged and it was an easy way to not to pack on the fat.
  9. More info please. I just got my card a minute ago and need to transfer money to my Wise account. If there is an added 2% fee probably not interested. It seems to only apply to topping up external accounts and would not be charged for transactions at Lazada for example. Has anyone used at Lazada, Shopee, etc?
  10. From the website: Shop wherever in the world contactless payments are accepted using Apple Pay, Google Pay or another digital wallet of your choice, all at the real exchange rate. Is this possible in Thailand? For example, checking out at Big C or 7 Eleven. Thailand digital wallet?
  11. Could i change it back to the previous address. How do you know this works? Interesting and would like to give this a try but seems "to good to be true". Edit ----- Ignore above. I just read the last few posts that answered my questions.
  12. I did this and regretted it when I wanted to sell. Most expats expect a big discount if the condo is not in a foreigner's name if they are interested at all. This is why IMO you should wait to see how the code is implemented.
  13. OK, makes sense. Where are you from and what further details about the tax code do you have questions about? Perfect opportunity to get answers - yes?
  14. OK and may I ask why you are still participating? You already know how our income will be taxed and seems like a waste of time.
  15. Thanks and this confirms what I thought. We know little. BTW, I'm not being sarcastic.
  16. If it was so easy, I think you would have answered my question. It is far from easy and reading the entire thread would only verify that nobody knows.
  17. SO what is the tax that we have confirmed on 65k transfer? Will there be exclusions? We know very little and that will blatantly obvious next year. This thread is a futile attempt to calm our fears but in the end just adds to them. I'm not insulting posters and I myself have read many pages of ramblings confused posts. Just telling it how I see it. Nice to know you have a much better understanding and in the end that is why you are participating on this thread????
  18. What is blatantly obvious is that we are as clueless as page "one" of this thread. My recommendation would be to switch to 800k in bank vs, income if that is an option so you aren't required to transfer 65k. Then wait and see what happens. It might amount to nothing or possibly a real headache but trying to interpret a tax reg that hasn't been gone into effect and that is vague is only going to create anxiety.
  19. Amazing and you must stay busy. Doubt you are as unhappy as you claim on this forum. That meal would bring more pleasure than many here experience in a week.
  20. Lovely - makes me reconsider my healthy diet. That meal would rival sex. Your weight?
  21. GF tells me she has the same as the pic. She is trying to find. Gross to share but not up for a trip into town. Thanks
  22. Might be worth a try but TallGuys recommendations seem to be working I think. Not the quick cure pseudoephedrine provides but slept last night with very little drainage and stable today. I think in stead of a 1 day remedy, I can beat this in 3-4 days without meds. Frustrating, I have a race this weekend that I'll have to skip but life goes on. Funny, a few years back, I went on antibiotics for 6 months to deal with the hellish sinus issues. Probably quite stupid but had good results.

    Back Problems

3 years of chronic back pain and currently doing all the above with exception of the crunch variation above, 21 BMI and fitter that 99.99% of the over 55 crowd. Frustrating! Still running marathons consistently and other exercises but couldn't fathom jumping off a 150 cm ledge as I did with little thought 3 years ago. Part of aging many tell me but not yet ready to accept this possibility. Covid limited my exercise options and I think I developed weaknesses as well as too much seated time.
  24. Yep, exactly what I have done in the past but hasn't worked in 2023 so far.
