According to this article the average age of a Fox News Channel viewer is 71. I wonder if that count includes all you old fossils wandering around Pattaya?

My material has only one foil side; should the foil face the roof?
No. In attics, single-sided radiant barrier material should be installed with the foil side facing down. Even if you use a double-sided radiant barrier material, it is best to install it at the rafter level so that the bottom side faces the attic airspace and will not collect dust. This may run counter to our intuitive feel for "how things work," but it does work, and work well.
To understand how it works, remember the two properties of aluminum foil from our Thanksgiving turkey and light bulb analogies; foil reflects radiant energy very well but does not radiate heat well. It does not emit heat to the cooler surfaces around it.
If you install a single-sided radiant barrier with the foil side facing up, the aluminum will (for a time) reflect the thermal energy radiated by the hot roof.
If you install a single-sided radiant barrier with the foil side facing down, the aluminum simply will not radiate the heat it gains from the roof to the cooler insulation it faces.
At first, a single-sided radiant barrier will work equally well with the foil facing up or down. However, over time, dust may accumulate on the surface of foil facing up. The dust will reduce the radiant barrier effect by allowing the foil to absorb rather than reflect thermal radiation. However, a radiant barrier with the foil side facing down will not collect dust on the foil and will continue to stop radiant heat transfer from the hot roof to the insulation over the life of the installation.

All of the big dealerships along Sukhumvit are top-notch -- ripping people off is the quickest way to go out of business in Thailand.

If you called your kid Steve Steve or John John in the UK or US you would be thought of as a bit deranged I think...
Deranged... LIKE A KENNEDY

It is common (in America at least) to use the phrase "not very good" as a more polite way of saying that something is bad. "Mai dee mak" would seem to mean "very not good" so that probably isn't the right phrasing. In Thai, what's the least emphatic way of saying that something is bad?
Thanks in advance!

It means that after marriage, both partners keep their own bank accounts and other possesions, and in case of a divorce everything is not split up fifty-fifty.
Not all prenuptial agreements are designed to keep things separate e.g. clauses about seeking marriage counseling before seeking a divorce, or clauses specifying the minimum number of "intimate encounters" per month. And cheating clauses are (usually) intended to prevent a spouse from cheating -- not to cash in when they do.
But if you are serious about it, you should try to get married in whichever jurisdiction will be adjudicating your divorce. Don't forget your wife will need an independent lawyer representing her or the agreement may later be deemed invalid.
In any case, good luck and congratulations!

A chemical in male sweat can boost mood, brain activity and sexual arousal in heterosexual women, according to a new study released just in time for Valentine's Day.
The study offers the first direct evidence that humans secrete a scent that can affect the physiology of the opposite sex, said researchers at the University of California, Berkeley. Their findings were published this week in The Journal of Neuroscience.
"This is the first time anyone has demonstrated that a change in women's hormonal levels is induced by sniffing an identified compound of male sweat," said study leader Claire Wyart, a postdoctoral fellow at UC Berkeley. "There is much more going on than we think when we are smelling body odor."

In a next phase we will launch a training dedicated for preparation of Cabin Crew (Air hostesses).
By "hostesses" do you mean that men should not apply? (Will you also have skin tone restrictions?)

Are you talking about some Thai version of Winamp?

I don't believe this changes anything in Thailand: the US Embassy in Bangkok has never accepted these petitions and it has always been necessary to file it with the Bangkok USCIS office, correct?

The last time Jaeyaena Beuraheng saw her seven children was in 1982 when she left the southern Thailand province of Narathiwat on one of her regular shopping trips across the nearby border with Malaysia.
She disappeared, and police later told her family that she had apparently been killed in a traffic accident.
In fact, Jaeyaena had simply taken the wrong bus home - an error that would have been easy to fix except that she only speaks the local dialect of Malay known as Yawi, according to officials at the homeless shelter where the 76-year-old has lived for two decades.

Those are FIGHTING words!
It's lousy in Thailand -- let it melt and refreeze a couple of times, then charge yourself $10 a pint for it and you'll see what I mean.

Finally, if you have more than $10,000 (aggregated total of all foreign accounts) at ANY time during the year, you have to report the accounts separately to the U.S. Treasury (not to IRS or with your return, and to a separate address). I forget the form number, but it's on the IRS site.

Hear! Hear! It's the darn liberal media never reporting any of the good things that happen. I personally know of a number of schools that got painted within the last 6 months and I never saw anything about it in the newspapers or on television. It's almost like they want to see Pattaya fail!
