You need a holistic approach. First go to your local university water testing mob and see what's in your water then design your filter system around that. We have a 60 m bore pump with a pump controller. From there to a 3000L sediment or storage tank, then to two big blue filters one with Echo Glass and the other with active carbon. From there to a Big Blue sediment filter then the water splits to the outside and yard and to the house reverse osmosis filter unit under the sink. We got a guy from Khon Kaen to do the initial job. Check out Echo Glass as one of your filter mediums.

So how does that work for normal daily use?

I don't think the current old meter can handle off-peak metering. Not 100% sure, but in Aus water heaters are connected to off-peak supply and at low grid usage times (say 0200 to 0400hr) and the power company sends some pulses down the line that enables off-peak supply cost rates that are lower than normal rates. I think that's why in Thailand you have to have a separate TOU meter to get the low rates. So my thoughts are that PEA shoots themselves in the foot for not supplying the TOU meters as more people would then go to full solar for the house and EV charging, therefore PEA loses out.

That's a good way to fix the misuse of TOU meters (sledgehammer approach). Sherly they could cross-check the house meter bills and punish the poofteenth percent of naughty people. Or using the same approach to fix the Bangkok traffic - ban the cars. 🙂
-
In that case why not get another off-peak meter (TOU think it's called) and use it for car charging only. Then you can charge during cheaper electricity rates. Have to see PEA.

Just a thought: If the cables to the house are not thick enough, you don't have to rip them out and install new ones but you can run new cables in parallel, so the 2 cables can carry the current. Ask your electrician. Might be a bit messy if you run the 3 phase, but if it's a long run could save you money.

This is another iteration of a system designed by the Japanese years ago. Love Bankok but traffic puts me off visiting more often. -
Thanks Sheryl, will talk with doctor. There are lots of brands and units for sale on Lazada, I was wondering if others have bought them and what brand or unit name would be recommended.

Diagnosed with Penumonia and receiving treatment in the local Kuchinarai hospital. When I finish my treatment and leave hospital on the weekend I'd like to buy (now) a home Nebulizer plus medicine. Lots of products out there so anyone got a brand name they would recommend? I think the hospital rents out oxygen bottles but don't know about masks and nebulizers. I would normally drive to KKU hospital but couldn't make it this time.

We trade with China. We are not run by China. Your country is run by Mongols. 🙂

There you go showing your stupidity. You didn't vote but want to belittle Albo and people who did vote.
-
That's probably the dumbest thing you've said in all your dumb posts. I always vote for a winner and I'm not a dumb bogan. 🙂

Wifey had a disagreement with our pool cleaning guy so he's gone. Maybe like a pool cleaning robot, so would like recommendations and cost please. Pool size is 14 x 4 x (1.4-2) m. Cement and tiled.

That's not correct. My Kbank contacted us as my phone number was registered under wife's name as I didn't have my passport with me when we changed to True. Went to a True place and the lovely Thai staff changed the registration to my name. Bugger, now I have to pay the phone bill as before my wife paid for both phone bills. I wondered why I never got a phone bill, so now I know. 🙂

I came across 1 in Pattaya that was booked. The nice people charging there also said just wait (I think 5 mins) and it became free. I'm not that organised to be able to book ahead. As a aside: yesterday just did a quick check with my clamp meter on the charging cable while charging with the car charger and did get a varying reading that at one stage was 25 A. Have my mountable charger (not yet installed) and hopefully should be able to pull 32A or more when charging. When I wired up the garage I installed 4mm2 cable and above. If you have a 15/45 meter you can probably pull up to 45A if your cable size is OK.

Just thinking .... my EV aircon has a 2.5 particle filter (I think) and the aircon works well. I think the filter can also be cleaned at the time of service. So should be available to an inside aircon. ..

I have had this bad broncitus/asthma/flu, coughing up toenails for a while now and was thinking of buying an air purifier. Then I thought to my self, self why not check out HEPA filters for my bedroom aircon. Has anyone done this? What did you do or buy and what brand particle check meter do you have?
