  1. Most things in Thai have classifiers. Kon is the classifier for people. Khun (polite) Jeen. Yes you could say Khun Jeen lay lay Khon. I don't think correct to say 'Person Jeen, many persons', but Khun Jeen 150 Khon is correct. Anyway, no one much cares, but I call a Chinese person Khun Jeen and a Thai person Khun (name). I call myself a Farang. ????
  2. Khon Jeen doesn't mean anything as Khon is the classifier for people. Khun Jeen Nung Khon means Mr/Mrs Chinese one person. คุณจีน คนจีน
  3. คุณจีน 1 คนจีน
  4. 1 person is Nung Khon. To show respect Chinese are called Khun Jeen. Khon is the classifier for people. Over.
  5. Or a first time Phuket visit. ????
  6. I think I know the problem. Old screens tend to burn the colour screens pixels and burn an image into the screen. Years ago I worked at a TV station and all the monitors had the Test Pattern burnt into the screen. So, today I went to have my wheel alignment checked and their old screen was grey where all the same car wheel alignment images had been displayed. So I think that's the problem. It will just keep slowely getting worse. If you're only intrested in black and white fonts, then turn the brightness right up, the font size up and the contrast down.
  7. No. They were critcised by the tester and encouraged by other people in the line. Was a simple test, tester pointed to Red, Amber or Green and you had to say the colour. Maybe they were shy, tester pointing to Red and the person saying Green. So many of them, hard to understand.
  8. I was sure when I saw this construction marvel that they were going to lay another concrete road base to bring the road up to the drains level. Not a strange idea when you have witnessed Pattaya's contemperory Engineering works over the last 30 years. Thinking like a Pattaya Engineer I would just plant trees in these drain spots and widen the footpaths so cars could drive there.
  9. Wow, that's a long way. I stayed at the KC Grande last visit, we loved it. Hope to get back there next year.
  10. The one to Ko Chang...where they collect the money give the ticket and you hand it back along abit. Only been there 3 times.
  11. Went to renew my 5 year licence and half of the 15 people with me got the red, amber and green colours wrong.
  12. Zyxel, better clean up your act.
  13. Good on them, great to provide more links to the two countries.
  14. Yes first class insurance just call the insurance company and their rep. handles it.
  15. Let us know what your decent build is please. ????
  16. I found it pretty good myself.
  17. Thanks @SomchaiDIY I hope the moderator doesn't mind me saying this but you are a welcomed addittion to this brilliant forum. Not detracting from the other posters (except the guy redoing his condo who rubbished posters). ????
  18. Got it all sorted?
  19. KhaoYai said: 'I was a little confused as to why you needed a heater in Thailand.' Gets cold in Isaan near Lao. Gets down to 4 to 6 degrees C. So the other heater was a water heater but this one in the picture is the house gas log fire. Sit around in your undies, drinking red, watching the flames flicker. ????
  20. The 3 phase multi-point heaters are great. Fairly instantanious full flow hot water, but I wouldn't install them again. Before I built the house we had a 3 phase supply close by from a de-commissioned rice mill, so we just asked PEA if we could move the meter and use it. Very difficult then to get a real electrician that knew about 3 phase installations. We eventually got someone who installs power in factories and he was the one that said to install the 3 phase heaters.
  21. I think this is a direct quote from the information sheets from the company.
  22. Reply from the company in Germany. 'You cannot connect RCBO for Steibel eltron 3 phase water heater. As they require wiring of 3 phase + Earth. RCBO will not operate since there is no Neutral connection. Would Suggest connect TP MCB for protection. Ideally we suggest individual MCB's to be fitted in the Main DB box for respective equipment and an Isolator switch be installed for maintenance inline near to the equipment.'
  23. Chinese aren't Farangs, they are Khun Jeen. Have you ever looked at one? Something wrong with your eyes if their features look anything like a Stale White Person. ????
  24. Pattaya's full of Dirty Old Men .....so they say.
