  1. My Thai cousin had a one-man band and got a wedding gig on Beach Road Pattaya (long time ago). He had lots of huge speakers, spot lights, the whole impressive lot. Problem was it wouldn't run on the breaker in the breaker box. No problem, breaker removed. Sometime thru the event I looked up and the power cables coming into the place from the road were smoking! This was an outdoor event, imagine the same in that building.
  2. Looking to buy a Laser Sailing Boat and trailer. Cheap one that I can do up.
  3. My Thai name has always been my English name translation, คาร์ล.
  4. I think I'm a foreigner, and when I worked here and had a work permit, I was in the B30 scheme.
  5. No dogs in Suksabai Villa. Have a look close behind The Caddie Shack. Nice houses or could be.
  6. Good girl, quick marry here and live in Patts with occasional trips to Swampy, or Banggers.
  7. Hey Crossy, question time please? I did notice a while ago you put up a pic. of your DIN surge protector installation and had one on neutral and live. I thought then 'why have one on neutral?' So your system must be TT? I also thought that the reason to have one on neutral could be that with a close lightning strike the ground conduction cannot dissipate that large voltage immediately, so for an instance the ground would be at a very high potential and active, neutral and earth could be at diiferent high voltages so installing a surge protector on neutral could be a good idea. Thinking too much?
  8. Crossy would know for sure, but I think it's wise to install one for the neutral as well. Can't remember exactly but it could be difficult to install in that Schnieder box. Just on costs: Probably wouldn't happen, but if you had a sever storm and lots of lightning over a week, you could potentially replace the surge suppressors 3 times in that week for a cost of B 12000 odd.
  9. I have the same 3 phase Schneider setup as you. I changed from the Schneider arrestors to DIN mounted ones as the Schneider are too expensive. I changed after a near lightning strike took out the 3 arrestors which would have meant a B6000 odd replacement. Opened up 1 arrestor and there was about B100 worth of electronics in it plus sand. I'd respond to Crossy and go the DIN way. ????
  10. It's more like: trial, trial, trial, etc and error, error, error etc.
  11. Evidently this highway is maybe, probably, could be, possibly 90Kmph. They got me for 110Kmph. B500. But the lovely policeman said ' if you get stopped for speeding again today, just show this reciept as you've already paid for today'. ????
  12. You have to be careful when you buy them of Lazada as you expect to get 220V units but not always. The first one I bought was the wrong voltage as well. I used it on the 220v system, not knowing it was 120v and it seemed to work. But one day just happened to glance at the lable on the device, then bought a 220v one. So the wrong voltage one did work, but not sure of its accuracy and never compared it to the 220v one I replaced it with.
  13. Being left and right handed and mostly left, rifle shooting left handed is tricky as the bolt is on the right.
