I even had aircon cleaners recommended on this forum that destroyed another aircon pcb that i had to re get replaced by official daikin service.
so i like to find the problem myself before calling any of these ridiculous services that do not know more than me.
and about samsung, they just proposed to change whole PCB without checking anything. how idiots are these ones also, without even visiting to check !
But why nobody here is talking about RELAY problem that Britman talked about in another thread ? he seems to be right actually:
You are a typical OP who comes on asking for help and then proceeds to be rude to people trying to help him and saying people are idiots, then not returning to the thread for updates. I dont know why you bothered asking for help you obviously know best.

Generally you need insurance coverage for your length of stay.
Having followed the facebook flights closely, its for the length of the visa or extension of stay. So if its a new single entry non O its 90 days and if its an extension based on marriage its until the renewal date.

Hello,
Seems to be very cheap but they say "premiums from below table only valid until 31st August 2020". Also valid up to 70 yo
How can it be that cheap compared to others insurance companies?
This is for Covid insurance only, nothing else.

If you filled in the online .gov form giving details of where you were staying, how can you possibly state with any degree of certainty that the current UK government did NOT already check and verify that you were being a good boy?
Unless you want to claim here that you flaunted the rules of course.
I filled out the online form and stayed at home. If they check they call and never visit. I know people who returned from Spain etc and now they dont even check the form.

Social distancing? Non Existent!!!
Ok, the Brits are supposed to self quarantine for 14 day!? It doesn't happen now so they won't bother on their return.
USA still has nothing under control.
New Zealand and The Kingdom have the correct idea.
The Kingdom will survive without the tourists.
Keep up the good work.
What you fail to understand is that the cases in the UK are now mostly in clusters. These are mainly people from immigrant backgrounds who live in tight communities sometimes 10 or so people to a house. Leicester is a prime example. I have been back in the UK since July and I feel that it is now under control unlike mainland Europe.

It may have been mentioned somewhere in the 10 pages. The word on the boards dedicated to getting back to Thailand is that this is a possible route to get back to Thailand for others currently not allowed to come back. For example those on a retirement extension of stay.

Thanks for that, mine is one year May till May, maybe they can extend if I ask. That is more realistic I think.
Just read the infiemation on ba.com. I think you will find it is automatically extended.

I dont know about the cheap food court or the VAT desk. I can however say that when I flew out on July 10th airside was almost deserted. There were only a few shops and restaurants open and they have increased the prices. In addition the airport was incomfortably hot. The air con was turned down to save money and it was not a pleasent experience.

I have an elderly neighbour who spends between 6 and 9 months in Thailand his one year O visa expires 17 September 2020 if the border was open he could go over and get another 90 day meaning his 1 year can be 15 months . His plan is to go to the local IO a couple of days before it expires does anybody know if they would give him the additional 90 days due to the borders being closed he’s from the U.K. but his BA flight has been cancelled several times . When I did my yearly extension in June I took his passport to do his 90 day report I have done this for him on at least 4 previous occasions this time they refused telling me I needed to get him to provide a medical certificate in order that I could do it on his behalf this had never been a problem before . Any advice would be helpful so I can explain his alternatives . I know I could get a doctors medical certificate as he is on an mobile oxygen machine and medication.
Dare I suggest that he gets a refund from BA and book back to the UK with another airline like Qatar who have 2 departures per day.

Similar. Got the money but its in the UK.
I actually want to leave !! I was supposed to be in the UK in May to sort out some financial matters.
I'd still like to leave but getting back is such a major hassle that I have stayed on.
I feel for you

If they told you that recently, they were lying. The MFA passed responsibility for granting COE over to local Embassies a few weeks back. COE decisions are not made by the MFA now.
Correct, they changed it a few weeks ago

I am more surprised, that they were even able to travel from Thailand to Japan in July, when many others claim to be stranded here. Did they both quarantine 14 days when arriving in Thailand, or could they by any chance both have brought the virus with them from Japan?
Why are you surprised? I think you are out of touch with the situation. Very few people are stranded in Thailand contrary to many people's belief. There are airlines flying in empty to Thailand and taking passengers out. For example I took a Qatar airways flight from Bangkok to London Heathrow on July 10th via Doha. I could have transited elsewhere if I had wished. The amesty is basically for people who wish to stay not for those who are stranded.

then spend 14 days in a organized quarantine at a authorized hotel you have to pay for after arrival.
The organised quarantine ASQ that has to be booked before you are allocated a place on a repatriation flight, has to be bought and paid for at the time of booking. Some hotels will allow 50% upfront and the rest paid 7 -14 days before, but paying on arrival no chance.

That's interesting, only need it if he applies here. Strange thinking.
I'll let him know to first go to Thailand, then get it.
Thanks!
No its not strange its just 2 different processes. If he applies in the US he will be applying for an OA visa that requires a police check and health insurance. The other way is If he goes to Thailand on a tourist visa, an O visa or gets a 30 day visa exempt entry he can convert this to an extension of stay based on retirement that is commonly known as a Retirement visa. He will have to have the relevant funds for both methods. There are extensive threads on TV detailing this.

is there any real morality and intelligence who can then explain what society, justice, hierarchical authority is meaning at the best place on top level of concept there ? It should have a link between justice and morality... isn't this concept no more existing ?
I mean... at least Thailand is a Buddhist country and economy has a concern, sure, but is it the only one concern there? Is there any law and morality somewhere ? Or no more ? I loose the point there. What does it means ?
I realise that English is probably not your first language, but I do not have a clue what you are trying to say here.

It is well intended but it is a pointless exercise I am afraid. Why? Simply because there are (1) Not enough repatriation flights and (2) There are not enough ASQ hotels (3) The whole process to get back is unnecessarily complicated and very very expensive.
The only way this will work is (1) Allow some commercial flights so that everyone who is allowed to come back has the opportunity to do so (2) Allow home quarantine, with a Covid test 72 hours before departure and a Covid test at the airport on arrival.
If they do not make changes to the process but keep adding more and more categories of people allowed to return there will be more and more of a backlog then ever. I realise Thailand is scared stiff of the virus but you have to move forward at some point. All this will have to be done before they even consider letting any tourists back into the country.

Some people cant afford to show the funds, either 400k or 40k, some people leave thailand quite often and go for breaks in neighbouring countries with their wives, some people work offshore and require this visa, There is nothing wrong with having a multiple entry.
Alot of people just dont want a year extension of stay. I dont see why its playing the system. It isnt.
I get an extension of stay with a
re entry permit even though I only stsy in Thailand 7 months a year. No excuse, sorry. Even an agent in Pattaya only charges 13k.

What rule was it "on the edge" of breaking? We didn't write these rules, and they could amend them, w/o our input, at any time.
Why are you pleased? How does breaking up our families or netting extortion-money for corrupt IOs improve your, or anyone else's, situation?
The only ones who benefit, are those getting a piece of the 35K Baht or more in agent-money pocketed, when IOs block legit-applications, for the reasons I cited above.
The question was not if you can state your opinion - rather WHY you have that opinion, which amounts to being "pleased" our lives are being wrecked by corrupt-immigration practices which block legit-extensions, to spite our qualifying for Visas through the honest MFA application-process (including showing financials at Penang). This question remains unanswered.
If you think about it, you could understand why we find your being "pleased" an odd reaction - given it harms us, and doesn't affect you.
If you put as much effort into obtaining an extension of stay (retirement or marriage) that you put into constructing your reply to me then you would be fine. Getting a single or multi Non O and then extending or leaving the country to get another 90 days, is in my opinion playing the system. An extension of stay or a Non OA visa is the correct visa for a long stay in Thailand along with the OX and the Elite anything else is a work around that I wouldnt be suprised gets closed in the future.

I regularly leave my car in Thailand for 5 months and my car in the UK for 7 months all I do is disconnect the battery. This year because of the pandemic I have only just returned to the UK after being away an extended 9 months. I had forgotten to disconnect the battery and it was flat, the breaks were also sticking a little. I jump started the battery and after a few trips the breaks sorted themselves out. Tyres were a little deflated. Nothing to much to worry about you will be fine.
