China is the biggest agriculture producer in the world. Number 6 in petroleum.
So, they don't import soybeans or oil? China is a huge market, and they have no interest in expanding their domestic production. They want to manufacture high-ticket items. They understand profitability. Another Trumpster with no understanding of macroeconomics.

Kudlow and Mnuchin are just applying liptstick on a pig. Trump just kicked the can down the road. Bottom line is China will still be demanding transfer of technology and stealing IP from American companies. They have no interest in agriculture, oil production or low-level manufacturing so will gladly keep buying those from the US. Ultimately, they want to corner the market in high-tech manufacturing, like airplanes and robotics. Trump is being played once again, a total embarrassment to the Wharton School of Business.

So, it's taken two years of this witch hunt to catch a lawyer for lying and other sundry offenses. No mention of Russian collusion, absolutely no evidence that collusion between Trump and Russian players caused Hillary to lose her election. This is insane. Time to get straight-jackets on Mueller and all his team(and Strzok and Page and Comey and that woman beating lawyer that was always on CNN) and cart them all of to Guantanamo. This whole "show me the man and I'll find you a crime" farce is an unprecedented assault on democracy and needs to end now.
Once again, credit to Trump for maintaining his dignity amidst this prolonged personal attack on him.
Trump's Moscow Tower deal was blocked by Obama's sanctions against the Russian bank that was financing the development. Manafort was brought into the campaign to change the GOP platform to lift those sanctions and enlst Russian aid in Trump's election. Trump publicly encouraged Putin to hack the DNC to uncover Clinton foundation emails. Stone worked with Corsi to manage Assange's release of the emails to tilt the election (no proof of efficacy is required) The "full and complete" sentence will be doled out to Manafort, Stone and Trump who will be found guilty of conspiracy to commit election fraud and violate the Federal election campaign laws.

This latest Mueller Witch Hunt smacks of OTT desperation.
No one said doing business during an election is a crime. However, several have lied under oath trying to protect Trump and one has to wonder why. Could it be like Flynn and KT McFarland who lied about discussions of lifting Obama's election interference sanctions against Russia which blocked the Moscow tower development? Or, could it be trying to cover up the "gift" to Putin of a penthouse in Trump Tower should the deal go through? Or, was it like Stone, Papadopolous and Corsi who lied about coordinating WikiLeaks release of Podesta's hacked emails? Flynn gets sentenced on Tuesday, and that will reveal much about the quid pro quo for lifing sanctions. Mueller holds all the cards and he is systematically squeezing all the rats. Stone and Don Jr. are next up to the plate.

This witch-hunt has dragged on for so long now it has invariably caused friction between the two leaders through attrition even though no evidence whatsoever has been shown that proves Russian collusion cost Hillary her election. I am aware of more collusion between Clinton and Hungarian interests to attempt to swing elections, although that doesn't seem to get the attention it deserves. Also collusion with news networks to get the final debate questions before the debate. Cheating AND collusion in other words.
If the left get their way we could very well end up in a world war. Time to grow up and stop this farcical witch hunt. Russia did not cost Hillary her election. She did it herself.
If what Buzzfeed reported is true, that Trump offered a $50 million penthouse in Trump Tower to grease the Moscow Trump Tower deal, it is game over. Trump will go to prison under the FCPA.

I'm sure that RTP can find some way to convert this pic into a beer fund contribution.

A pardon for being a mole after he began cooperating with Mueller's team. Stone, Corsi and Manafort are relying upon pardons to get them out of Trump's mess, although Trump claims he hardly knew them. The obstruction case is now solid.

So many dangerous pedestrian conditions on the sidewalks in Thailand. Here's a fire plug in the middle of a very busy sidewalk, across the street from Terminal 21 and near the train stations on Sukhumvit. I have personally witnessed several people run into the fire plug and seriously injure their knee, where an ambulance was needed to take them to the hospital. All because the Thai highways division can't be arsed to move the plug onto the Westin's property (who benefits from the fire suppression equipment) or next to the electric boxes where they wouldn't be in the trafficked area of the sidewalk.

RIP to the driver, but it's a head-on collision so one wonders about whether he was paying attention, driving too fast for the conditions, or that his headlamps were working at all. Elephant 1 : driver 0 - I like the score.

LOL, Mueller already has the phone records of Jr calling daddy before and during the meeting. Trump was just one floor down in Trump Tower during the meeting, so strutting out his drunk and senile mouthpiece to deny his knowledge just puts him in greater jeopardy because his credibility has been stretched so thin by his lies.

The IPD only understands T-shirt designs. Technology, including medicine and software, is way beyond their abilities. Just look at how many problems they are having with medicinal cannabis patents.

Funny. I don't recall any outrage when Thaksin paid for TV's, satellite dishes and air con units for everyone in the north and Isaan.

Trump is spouting off more total nonsense and lies.
1. Mexico's incoming Secretary of the Interior says there is no such deal.
2. You can't claim asylum unless you are on American soil. Asylum laws can't be changed by executive order. It requires an act of Congress. Congress is out of session until the next year, when the Dems will control the House.
3. You can claim asylum from a safe nation other than America, but Canada is the only country with that designation. Mexico can't carry the designation, because it is not safe, by its own proclamation.

One step forward, dozens of steps backwards. BOI replaced IHQ's (international headquarters) with a new promotion category last month (IBC, international business center). Tax incentives were slightly changed. Now, BOI is accepting no promotion applications because they haven't figured out how to administer the new regulations. Other government agencies don't understand how to deal with digital work permits. While its good to get more OSSC's into the industrial estates, they need to get their act together before spreading more madness.

So, instead of demanding that the contractor take proper action to improve safety, the Phuket residents demand that the work be completed quicker, probably increasing the dangerous conditions of the roadway.
You make 1 lane safe for travel, use flagmen to regulate one-way traffic, while resurfacing the other lane. Once the other lane is resurfaced and safe, you close the other lane for resurfacing. It's not hard and done all over the world.

Not true, I have been to take my photo for my WP only once in 9 years, 10th time will be in January. You just have to give HR power of attorney...
Nope, I was just at BOI Bangkok this morning. They have been requiring the immigration officer (who used to do a short interview of the foreign worker) to take a photo upon renewal. I have been legal/HR for 12 years and did WP applications and renewals for a company with over 40 foreign workers. Sorry, I know what I am talking about.

From 20 years ago, and for a few years thereafter in Bangkok, I recall attending in person every year for my work permit, but for many years now I've used an agent to renew it at 2 year intervals, and never needed to join in person, or to sign the WP book. I've just supplied signed copies of the required personal and company documents.
Your agent is either connected, or has been paying an extra fee for your non-attendance. Peronal appearance was a requirement implemented by the junta.

BOI in Bangkok has had a good portion of the WP application process online for years. However, they still require paper applications and presentation of supporting documents along with the presence of the foreign worker. Presence of the foreign worker was required because a lot of Japanese factories were having "ghost workers" processed for work permits. BOI still requires the foreign worker to be present to sign their WP book and then to take a photo by the BOI officer as part of a renewal. Perhaps the e-WP will obviate the need for the foreign worker to show up at Chamchuri Square, as that office has become too crowded now.

U.S. expects immediate action from China on trade commitments

They have no interest in expanding their domestic agricultural production. They are happy to import agricultural products. They are focused on manufacture of high-ticket items. Their middle-class doesn't want to work the fields.
