  1. The land of banned imported meats from the US (Beef, turkey, pork) and 100% tariffs on all imported food goods from the US, thinks its somehow going to benefit from the US-China tariff war.  Give me a break.  I tend to see more and more ANZ imports at Villa and Central Gourmet and fewer products imported from the US.

I am amazed at how many of these bus/truck drivers blame brake failure , the only reason this could be true is lack of proper maintenance which initially lays with the drivers who can tell when their brakes are bad and the companies who force them to keep driving them after they have been informed of the problem .

Or, that it is a fake excuse, because the divers know RTP don't perform post-collision brake inspections.  That way, there is no investigation as to whether the driver fell asleep or was playing Facebook or Line on his mobile.

  3. Sad.  In the real world, construction workers who are working at a height of more than 4 feet must be provided a safety harness and belt.  Not that anyone in Thailand would wear such a thing.  I recall warehouse workers who refused to wear steel-tipped shoes that were provided to them, instead opting for flip flops and barefeet, despite forklifts being driven all around them.  Thailand - Safety First!

Police searched 262 locations around the country on Thursday and arrested 542 foreigners who have been living in Thailand illegally and/or committed criminal offences.

He said 48 foreigners had been arrested for overstaying their visas, 262 for sneaking into the kingdom without a visa and 232 others on other charges.

More and more, these random raids are looking like a shakedown to fund RTP's gambling, drinking and mia noi/gik addictions.

Thanks, . the rest of your statement raises off topic matters

Me too. Ive done those too. Isnt it true that an equally plausible alternative to you statement is fraud? Ever see that in a dissolution? How about his coffee shop gig with the actor? Based on what you know and have read, if you were represnting the plaintiff against him, wouldnt you allege fraud?

Seems like a simple he said she said. By the way, arent those allegations against the President you just set forth felonies? Got some support for those allegations.

    You tire me Russian bot.

Radioactive waste probably fills the financial loss after prohibition of plastic waste tourism. Did any officials recently travel to Namibia?

it has the form of five-centimetre-long, needle-shaped pieces with an unsafe radiation level of 85.83 microsieverts per hour.

Nope, that's medical waste being exported, who knows where, maybe even dumped at sea.

  7. While the OP is correct that no cases of sexual harassment have been filed in court, it does not mean that claims of sexual harassment haven't been made, and settled informally, perhaps even with assistance of police.

There are two types of sexual harrassment:  quid pro quo and offensive work environment.  The Thai labor code doesn't recognize offensive work environment, but does have prohibitions against quid pro quo sexual harassment.  In these cases, the employer or supervising manager demands sexual favors in exchange for employment benefits, or under threat of taking action against the employee.

Because of the very nature of a quid pro quo case, these cases are often settled, as the employer or supervising manager doesn't want the charges to go public.  Thailand does need to update its labor code to include offensive work environment, which is where conduct of a sexual nature causes the employee to experience difficulty performing their job duties (ie, sending dirty pictures to female staff or habitual sexual advances).  But, the labor code doesn't even recognize claims of racial, religious or sexual orientation discrimination (gender discrimination is recognized in a limited way with respect to pregnancy), so it is a long way from expanding sexual harassment to include offensive work environments.

How would they know, stick to the facts, Thai basher.

Thai basher?  I guess you forgot that thousands of Uyghurs were trafficked through the Cambodian border by paying immigration officials 10,000 baht each.  Captain Thailand turns a blind eye to rampant corruption in RTP.

Corruption is pervasive in Thailand’s police force and presents businesses with high risks. Almost four out of five Thai believe most or all of the police to be corrupt. The security apparatus has a reputation of being the most corrupt institution in the country, partly due to its entanglement in politics and an entrenched patronage system. Police impunity is also reported to be a problem.

He had a passport with a different name, what part don't you understand?

Are you sure the immigration officer didn't catch that?  Maybe his photo didn't match.  What don't you understand about the corruption of border immigration agents who let in thousands of trafficked Uighurs without passports at the Cambodian border for payment of THB 10,000?

When they high enough, I hope that they will snort the granade and toss the drugs...

Nope, BJ will make sure that the drugs and grenade are sold and proceeds are properly distributed, or that a small amount of the drugs are preserved for planting on another unfortunate soul.

Maj Gen Surachate Hakparn, the new chief of immigration, announced the arrest of 29 workers from Myanmar and Laos who were in the kingdom on fake work visas. They were rounded up in Samut Sakon along with a Thai man - Pramote Phummathai, 28 - who took 8,050 baht from each person for their fake stamps. Maj Gen Surachate - the top cop called Big Joke who has been tasked with clearing up illegals in Thailand - said that the workers had entered through the Sing Khorn checkpoint.

How much did the immigration officials at the Sing Khorn checkpoint take, and has Maj Gen Surachate now received his cut?
