blaming the media for promoting so-called vaccine passports, which they view as incompatible with British values.

The above is one of the real worries ..ID cards by the "back door"

Jon Snow, the Channel 4 News presenter, was chased into one of the building’s side entrances by conspiracy theorists shouting at him.

Livestream footage showed hundreds of protesters shouting scientifically unsupported claims about the Covid-19 vaccine programme

    LOL  :cheesy:

You've used a term I am not familiar with.  Can you briefly tell me what a Carrier Grade Nat is?

It's a method internet service providers use to deal with the lack of ipv4  addresses   they basically do what your home router does

that is pass (NAT) many  Ip addresses through  one ip address that is exposed to the internet.

Well that there is the important information  "must be used through 3G/4G/EDGE/GPRS"

does that also mean you can't use it via WiFi ?

Best and easiest for them to keep their surname

Also there is no requirement (or advantage) for a Thai woman to change her surname after marriage  for anything in Thailand..there maybe some advantages for her in other countries  not to have a foreign

    (Thai surname) ???

They wouldn't accept my UK licence as it has no picture on it,

So you  don't/didn't have the credit card sized plastic one with photo on it  just the old style paper version ?  if so that would explain it..perhaps you should have shown them your old Thai licence instead.

Anyway  "mostly"  they will except a licence with photo on it and written in English without the need for a translation ( not even translated into Thai)

    A.K.A  "international drivers permit"

I was asked to present an IDP, they wouldn't accept my home licence.

What country was your home licence from and which DLT ?

I know that there can be differences of interpretation between different DLT offices...but the Banglamung office (Chonburi)  excepted my UK licence ( for a car) no problem no mention of an International drivers permit.

They would not issue a motorcycle licence because at the time my UK licence didn't show a motorcycle symbol on it...so I had to do the "full Monty" for that ????
