  1. And...its James Nesbitt..... lucky I didn't do my usual ..."Should Be Good" Seal of approval..............
  2. McDonald & Dodds---Season 3 ...4 episodes 1 each week. today ChaosTV Some think its the slowest crime series on TV--but seems to be popular, they have increased the episode numbers and lengthened each episode to 90 minutes. No Trailer for this season ----------------------------------------------------- Justice -- Crime/court room Drama... Amazon TPB... 5 episodes--RAR This is 10 years old BBC1.... just re-released by Amazon Justice is a British legal drama starring Robert Pugh as Judge Patrick Coburn, struggles against suspicious locals and his own colorful past in an effort to bring law and order to the Liverpool community of Dovefield.
  3. Your right--- <deleted> I am getting worse, ....... & Yes the write ups were not good on old Knives, but I thought it was well done.........

  6. That sounds good--until you look at the odds, Thai Lotto = 1 million to 1 UK Lotto Odds= ......45 Million -1 .............45,057,474 to 1 EuroMillions Odds = (nearly) Hundred and forty million 1............... 139,838,160 to 1 Thai Lotto 10 mumbers **UK Lotto 59 numbers..... Euro Lotto pick 5 numbers from 50 numbers then pick another 2 numbers from 12 numbers. **With the UK it use to be 49 numbers but in 2015 they decided to make it even harder by adding another 10 numbers Furious National Lottery players have slammed changes to the prize draw as an 'absolute con'--One angry player said it was "clearly a rip-off" and another added "We have more chance of nailing a blancmange to the ceiling (than winning)," according to the MirrorOnline. If you want to Gamble--the best bet IMO = Premium Bonds
  7. Spiderhead Tried watching it last night--I thought quite woeful, I had seen Chris Hemsworth in "All the old Knives"--a good CIA type thriller IMO & he played a good role. This one--"Is set in the near future, when convicts are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects in hopes of shortening their sentences" it was bad---I try to see movies to the end even if I have to touch the fast forward button a few times... but just couldn't do it. His acting would have been OK but the script was--as say WOEFUL...... ** 1 redeeming feature in it---the soundtrack , they played a lot of Supper Tramp ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Martha Mitchell Effect--Doco Watched this yesterday----good well put together.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thy have brought out and dusted down --Nightingales 30 years old and I see TPB is still running it---- , along the line of the Boys in some ways. Black comedy --IMDB 8.2 Three disparate characters are nightwatchmen in an office block somewhere in Britain. Their night life is surreal to say the least. Anything can happen from a friendly werewolf, to an allegorical Mary who turns up pregnant at their door on Christmas Eve.
  8. Monks fighting at Big C over alms positions - "They are nothing better than devils" says abbot--- So what I am going to do is.... A/ Ban them from the Temple B/ Strip them of the Saffron --Let all the local people know C/ Absolutely nothing..... I dont gamble...but if I did , I think I know which one I would put my house on..........
  9. So is that a + or a - proton, I haven't got round to watching yet--
  10. The Martha Mitchell Effect---NetFlix...Doco 40 Min....TPB...released yesterday If you dont want to sit through the 8 episodes of Gaslit (which is really good acting IMO) then Netflix has brought out a 40 Min Doco to cover the event on the 50 year anniversary. "She was once as famous as Jackie O. And then she tried to take down a President. THE MARTHA MITCHELL EFFECT is an archival documentary portrait of the unlikeliest of whistleblowers: Martha Mitchell, a Republican cabinet wife who was gaslighted by the Nixon Administration to keep her quiet. It offers a female gaze on Watergate through the voice of the woman herself."
  11. Maybe he could do a BOGOF--with them.................
  12. I will just have to take your word for that Beazi...............

  14. Yer --not seen it yet , but in the comments a lot of people upset about them using up-to-date Grammar in the narrative, & as you say---a very slow burner. ----------------------------------------------------------- Any Sci-Fi nuts watched The Lazarus Project yet ?--I haven't had time-- (Sky-UK-TV) Mixed write ups on it --8 episodes 1 out now. ....Is a top secret organization dedicated to preventing mass extinction events and with the ability to make time go backwards.
  15. Well he's a very lucky young man to be able to buy a nice big house in a country that he is not even a Citizen of..........
  16. I dont know hotchilli....when you come from some of those small towns---and the beer Goggles are on.
  17. 1/ Medicare and my supplemental won't cover me in Thailand. No of course it wont--but it seems unfair on Thailand to quote a subsidized price in America against an Non subsidized price in Thailand. 2/I'm going blind, that's cometic? Well, I dated an insurance agent, there is no bar too low for them. All agree on that-- but it really is a really simple op HappyExpat-- I remember seeing a BBC program about 60 years ago. In Russia (for some reason) everyone being called up for the army were failing the eyesight test. They had rows of beds and the surgeons would be walking down the line changing the lens. All done by hand then--by computer now. No matter how hot it is over there--stay away from swimming pools for at least 3 weeks.
  18. Hi Live Udon Thani- Wife going over with friends-- they want to do the markets, 2 days Vientiane & 2 days L.P. their hoping to find new suppliers Junk Jewry/paintings etc for their markets here. Usually they buy from BKK Been a few years with Covid etc--so can anyone recommend a mid range Hotel near to the main markets in both. I see the Kip--Baht has crashed, 200+ 8 months ago 400+ now. 19. Following a rush of tragic cases in recent months, the British embassies in Thailand and Cambodia are reminding their nationals that medical bills must be paid by insurers, the patient or willing third parties. They add on their websites that they cannot fund air tickets to get home, no matter how urgent the crisis. The Thai government has announced that, with effect from 1 September 2022, yearly retirement visas (minimum age 50), issued by embassies abroad, will require US$3 million comprehensive medical insurance, but with a separate facility for self-insurance. These rules will also apply for the annual extension of stay. However, there will still be loopholes as retirees can apply for other visas, such as the Elite card or some 12 month extensions granted by immigration offices, which don’t require ongoing insurance. https://www.pattayamail.com/news/british-embassies-emphasize-they-cannot-pay-expat-hospital-bills-400795
