Remember you need to use the "+" symbol...
I believe it makes a difference whether or not you call from a landline phone or from a mobile phone.

You won't find many schools teaching Spanish in Thailand.
The suggestion made by DrJack54 seems ideal for your situation.

Example of a USED non-O visa:
-
Could the BOI perhaps want to see immigration's stamp USED across the old, used non-O visa? In the past, immigration sometimes put that stamp on single-entry visas of any type.

That's an interesting comment.
A lot of countries got involved in a German dispute with a number of European countries, during the second world war, and I, for one, am glad that they did.

This topic might have made for an interesting discussion if the opening post had included links - from credible sources - for the statements being made. As this was not the case, this topics need to be closed.

If high air pollution results in a high ranking "among Top Asian Cities for Expats", city governments in Thailand should make more effort to increase pollution.
(I was going to say they should make less effort to reduce pollution, but I have not seen any effort in that direction)

...referring to himself in the 3rd person saying "OP was merely trying..."
Just for the record, not to make a point regarding the issue of this topic: the acronym OP is regularly used on this forum to mean either of the following:
1. "the opening post", ie the post with which the topic was started
2. "the original poster", ie the person who started the topic

...Went to send the same money back to the original EU account and was met with a brick wall...
Can not do, not allowed.

Major word of warning, be prepared to have the money stuck in Thailand, no recourse to this.
You have been warned....
Money has left my Thai account and has not been returned yet €10,000.
I see some contradiction here.
1. money stuck in Thailand
2. Money has left my Thai account
If the money is no longer in your Thai account, where exactly is it stuck in Thailand?

Requirements seem to chage every few months. You won't know what you have to upload until you make your application later this year.

You did not mention your country, but I believe no country will refuse to issue a new passport because of an overstay in Thailand.
However, some countries take weeks or months to deliver a new passport. One option for you could be to apply at your embassy or consulate for an emergency travel document once you know your departure date. This document is usually issued within 24 hours.

No idea what you mean by 'English household registration book'...
This is one of the rare cases where a missing comma can lead to confusion. Correctly punctuated, it would be
"Tabien Baan book - in English, household registration book".
In other words, what some people refer to as the Tabien Baan, which is an attempt at giving a pronunciation guide for the Thai name of the document, can be translated into English as household registration book. For brevity but less precisely, I tend to call it the house registration book.

Some posters may not have noticed that the topic title is about an event at Suvarnabhumi airport in Thailand. I have now cleaned up the topic.

The above part of the text shown on the website of the Immigration Bureau is incorrect. Whether the Immigration Bureau did this due to ignorance or deliberately in order to frighten foreigners, I do not know.

In Thailand, my wife does the booking and the check-in, both for our flights and the hotels, and for both check-ins she asks for my passport before she walks up to the counter. Therefore, I can say that no hotel in Thailand is asking me for my passport.
When I travel alone, eg for business, I proffer my passport without waiting to see whether I am being asked for a document.
