How would the evisa system know if you have permanent residence or not? Permanent residents can apply, but others cannot. Therefore it's an option because some people might qualify.
Permanent residents don't use the e-visa system.

Can some one please go though immigration With out having done the TDAC and tell us if you got turned away or not....
I am leaning heavily towards them not giving a rats azz if you have done the TDAC or not......
Someone already posted his experience about it at Suvarnabhumi. He was politely pointed in the direction of the line of TDAC kiosks a few steps away where he could complete the online form. There is even some immigration staff there to lend a hand to those needing it.
At a land border, another poster got the online job done by a kind and helpful immigration official on duty there.

Thanks for the info. I am in this exact situation now where the passport # listed on my DTV eVisa does not match my renewed passport #, so I plan to do this on my next trip to Thailand. Anyone know what other documents the immigration office may require besides a printout of my DTV eVisa and copies and originals of my old and new passport?
Sometimes the receipt for the TM.30, according to posts seen in this forum.

The owner of where you stay are legally-required to file a TM-30 within 24 hours of your arrival...
These are the relevant provisions of an English translation of the Immigration ACT:
QuoteSection 4. In this Act,
...
“Householder” means any persons who is the chief possessor of a house,
whether in the capacity of owner, tenant, or in any other capacity whatsoever in accordance
with the law on civil registration.Section 38. The householder, the owner or the possessor of a dwelling
place or a hotel manager, who takes in, as a resident, an alien with permission to
temporarily stay in the Kingdom, shall notify the competent official at the immigration office
located in the locality in which the house, dwelling place, or hotel is located within twenty
four hours from the time the alien has taken residence...Source:
Therefore, for a rented property,
- householder means the chief possessor in the capacity of tenant
- possessor means the tenant
- owner means the owner (as evidenced by the land title deed)
This is important for a the tenant to know lest he believe that he cannot be fined if the required notification of arrival of the foeigner is not made.

...Well, it wouldn't accept my O visa number...
Just for your knowledge for future entries, the field for the visa can be left blank; it doesn't have a red asterisk next to it.
Aside from that, you were not entering with a visa, but with a re-entry permit.

For this reason, I am afraid that if I fill in the new passport number, the retirement extension will not be seen and I will therefore be marked as a tourist.
On arrival in Thailand, you must give the immigration official not only your new passport, but also your old passport and tell the official that the old passport has your valid re-entry permit in it.
The TDAC does not serve as the basis on which the official determines the type and length of permission to stay in Thailand.

Isn't the number on your pink card the same as your Thai tax ID number … have used it in that way especially when online.
Not necessarily.

Typical TAT...
Hold it, right there!
This time it is not the TAT, but a former TAT governor. Seemingly, he is chiding the incumbent TAT governor for not doing his job. I wonder what he is getting out of this.

What does Thailand not yet have to attract more "higher-quality visitors"?
Mmh, aah, yes, entertainment complexes with casinos.

Avoid Poipet, if you can. Everyone on this forum has nothing good to say about it.

...I don't know who to believe at this point.
Your experience shows up the uselessness of clueless lawyers who portray themselves as experts in immigration law in Thailand. It's a shame that this situation exists.

The airline needed proof of the digital arrival card at check in.
Nice to have it handy when needed
Interesting.
When was that, at what airport, checking in for a flight of what airline?

Pain in the arse as expected, why are all the address boxes greyed out and when you put the arrival date in you cannot put the departure the day before in, thats greyed out as well
This is a s bit difficult to explain, but I'll try:
1. The arrival date is the date on which you arrive in Thailand by air, sea or land.
2. The departure date is the date you plan to leave Thailand. Therefore, the departure date cannot be earlier than the arrival date.
3. Data input on the form is compulsory only for the fields marked with a red asterisk. The fields in the section "Departure" are not compulsory.

With the new digital visa that has to be completed 3 days before entry or on the day of entry- this new one requires all kind of information that many people will find difficult to provide truthfully.
Please note that with the TDAC, only the fields marked with a red asterisk are compulsory, ie require you to input data.
Whether we like it or not, this system of advanced travel information input is now the new norm for Thailand, is already in place for some other countries and currently in process for more countries. If it speeds up immigration clearance on arrival, as intended, we, the travellers, benefit from it.

They didnt accept the slash between the digits, thats why I was refused in my first try, and while I was asking here, the rest of my information I filled in was deleted, and had to restart the first page.
This may be because visa numbers generally include no slash and because they don't want numbers of other things entered in that field.

If no visa nr, can you leave the departure open as well?
Yes, definitely. It is no a required field, ie has no red asterisk next to it.
