I don't believe that was the question. But if passport is in good condition up to 3 sets of 24 pages each can be added to the US passport.
Well, it was going to be my question.
Thanks!

I'm not usually a nervous traveler, but I think that I would be nervous about visiting Iran. Have you been following the news regarding the 3 American hikers who accidently entered Iran, were accused of being spies, and have been held in Iranian prison for a few months?
To be fair, I think if 3 Iranians accidentally crossed the border from Mexico into the US, they would be accused of being spies and likely spend a few months in a detention facility.
Also, the OP will presumably have an entry visa, and will be traveling with an Iranian friend.
I personally have never been to Iran, but the Iranians I have come in contact with have been friendly.

When I checked a few months ago, TG prices were nearly 50% higher than other airlines on flights to the UK during Songkran.
Needless to say, I chose another airline.

In the dog's defense, maybe he was trying to alert his owner of your presence.
When the owner is not about, there's no need to sound the alarm.

Thanks for updating the link!

^Beat me too it.
Yes, Air Asia is also charging a 'convenience' fee to book with a credit card. If memory serves, it's 50 baht per flight, per passenger. So two round trip tickets will cost 200 baht more.
By the way, they also charge a fee to buy the tickets at the airport--in cash.
Granted these fees aren't for significant amounts, but they are off putting.

I assume the OP has a new style Thai license- mag strip, imbedded photo, English and Thai. He should be fine with that in Florida.
Old style: get an IDL/IDP. How many Florida State Troopers read Thai, and understand the year 2553?
Thanks for all the great replies..I do have the new type of thai driving license.
Unfortunately I have two years left on my old style license.
If I go to the transportation office, will they issue me a new license?

I agree.
A competent plumber could be the solution to your problem.

It seems to me that the Honda Jazz is exactly what the OP is looking for......a modestly priced car with a bit of space that will get him from point A to point B within Bangkok and the suburbs.
I bought mine 4 years ago, and have been very pleased with it. In fact, I wouldn't hesitate recommending one to friend.

It would be interesting to know if they're still together as a couple.

7 out 8.
Not too bad.
But of course if I had actually put money on it, I'd have been 1/8.

I don't think it's him in that photo.

I'm hardly an insider or privy to conversations and discussions of consequence, but it appears to me that mood is ambivalent.
So every-thing's quiet then?
Yes.

The friend of the OP strikes me as an extremely irresponsible person.
He comes to Thailand without travel insurance (or enough money apparently), and then drives a motorcycle while drunk...without a helmet.
My guess is that the hospital contacted immigration and he won't be allowed to leave the country without settling his bill.

I will answer you in a few days, I going to ask my Thai Neighbours.
Thanks. I look forward to your reply.

This afternoon I had to kill a three foot cobra that was in a face to face 'argument' with one of my dogs. Tonight I just saw another long cobra slip down a hole and go under my house.
Cobras are not uncommon where we live but I am now concerned that there is a nest under my house.
I take no pleasure in killing snakes, but I have to protect my family and dogs.
Any suggestions on how I can get rid of these cobras....either peacefully or lethally.
Thanks.
Is Thailand Getting Too Expensive?

It seems to me that everyday necessities are becoming slightly more expensive, but big ticket items are going down in price.
