  2. I haven't played in years, and wasn't very good when I did play, but I'm thinking about starting up again.

I don't want to spend a small fortune on clubs because I suspect there's a good chance I'll stop playing after a few months.

The question is, where should I buy the clubs?

I'm taking a short holiday to Ireland and the US this spring, and am wondering if it would make sense to buy a used set of clubs there, or get a used set here in Thailand.

I really don't need or want a top of the line set of clubs, simply a reputable brand that hasn't seen too much use/misuse by the previous owner. I haven't the slightest idea of what this would cost in any of the countries I've mentioned.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

By the way, Ireland will be the last stop on the trip, so it would be easiest to buy the clubs there.

  3. ^^The situation regarding roundabouts is as frustrating as it is dangerous, but this is an example of how many people drive here..

I've long since decided to use many of the driving practices that most Thais seem to follow, because doing otherwise will only cause an accident.

  4. I was just checking the Thai Air site for flights to the US in April, and they're quoting 47,000 baht for a RT flight to LAX. :)

Seems a bit high to me, and I am wondering if it is because many people are going to try and get out of Thailand for Songkran.

I'm probably being naive, but is there any chance that the date is a bit too far off, and they will reduce the price in a month or so?

  5. I'm also in the market for an LCD TV.

I went to Tesco today, and they had the Samsung Series 450 (26") on sale for 12,000 baht. For most situations I think the 26" would be too small, but the room I am thinking about putting it in is not very large, and I would only be sitting about 2.5 meters from the screen.

Here are some of the specs:

    HD ready

    50 HZ

    1366 x 768

    HDMI x3

    Sound Output:down-firing 5Wx2

It will mainly be used for watching UBC and connecting my netbook for surfing the internet and watch movies on my hard drive.

I had originally been thinking about a 32" and spending about 15,000-17,000, but this Samsung seems like a pretty good deal.

    Any thoughts?
