  1. I learned the hard way that the dealer you buy the machine from matters quite a bit. Some of them won't help you get your machine serviced should it break. The washing machine we got, a Hitachi front loader, like many items you buy these days, seems to be built in Chinese factories using second rate, probably pirated counterfeit components. Count on whatever you buy breaking soon after you buy it. So, given that, make sure, as my wife did not, that you buy from a dealer who has an interest in helping you get it serviced as opposed to blowing you off in hopes you'll just buy a new machine.

Three months after we bought the Hitachi, it completely broke down. The dealer said she couldn't find enough people to work for her so we would have to wait before she could send someone out. After two months, still same story. Why don't you just buy a new machine, looks like you got a lemon, sorry. We contacted a Hitachi service center direct in the next province and it took them another two months to make it out to have a look. They apologized that they didn't have the parts needed to fix the machine and would have to order the parts from Japan which would take another month. We waited and another two months later they finally arrived to fix the machine. We were charged full repair and parts charges, as it turned out the warranty only covered the motor parts not the mini-computer which was the source of the breakdown.

Two months later the machine broke down again. I said enough, gave the machine to my step daughter who was interested to have it fixed and use it for her family and we bought a much more sturdy looking Samsung top loader from Home Pro. They assured us there was full and immediate service to our area should the machine break, and they seem they have more of a long term interest in providing service for the customers as opposed to your Mom and Pop shop with little to no idea and/or interest in the concept of building a regular customer base by providing service.

So far so good after three months, the Samsung seems like a really good machine.

As we don't even have to talk to the dealer to replair any machine I don't know why it matters ?

We just have to contact the service center and I never heard about any exception, that's all !

  2.

Are you serious?  You have been studying Thai for 2 years and still cannot understand when someone speaks to you in Thai?  And you cannot write anything using the Thai alphabet?

Either your teacher sucks, or your learning skills suck, or both

    Thats a very mean comment

Mean but honest and true, I could speak Thai almost fluently within 6 months and I am not a scientist...

  3. Any Mediatek chipset phone will not be AS good as say a Qualcomm chipset phone. A year or two ago I-mobile had decent phones at lower prices. Now there are more choices. Look around and for similar prices you can find alternatives. But for the price some models are still great starter phone's.

Sent from my XT1032 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Same old stories as AMD processors are not as good as INTEL processors ?

I was thinking that nowadays people had already understood that it is pure marketing BS ?

  4. My 2 cents

I have a 5.5 here is what i dont like

The icons need more effort to push then my samsung. Sometimes i need to press them 2 or 3 times

    Screen rotation hangs sometimes

Power button on opposite side that i am use to

    Camera is of medium quality

Using the pattern screen lock is jumpy

The gps is not as accurate as my samsung

    Sound quality is poor

Now for the price and warranty i would recommend the phone but dont think this model compares to a more expensive samsung

    5.5 is a cheap one.

I think IQX is the one that compares and even beats mobiles that cost at least double price?

They even have iqx OCTO now that should be better than any big brand phone ?

  5. Don't buy an imobile phone. I made the mistake of buying the IQX. Didn't even last me a year. They are tacky and low quality, and that's just the phones. They are still selling dual sim phones knowing that they don't work because a 3G sim stops the imobile sim from working. When I tried to talk to a customer service agent at the imobile center in Big C Kanchanaburi, they just weren't interested. They cancelled my sim even though I had nearly 1000B in credit on it. No refund or apology at all. They tried to just fob me off with a call centre number claiming it wasn't their responsibility.

Bad business practice from a typical take the money and run company.

I don't see anything bad with you phone ?

Your problem was about the SIM card but i guess you do not speak Thai to explain things correctly ?

Dual SIM phones from any Chinese brand work perfectly if you know how to use them <3

  6. I gave up western machines that doesn't wash better whatever people will tell you. I tested a lot on white clothes and nothing better, even with hot water.

Thai washing machines are finally the best because cheapest and easiest to repair + no rust because it's mainly plastic.

I was a ridiculous one thinking western machines are better but it's pure BS and people dream.

  7. Looks like I have messed up a little as I have just booked a ticket to Nakhon Phanom....I'll have to contact AirAsia and see how I can pay extra for the van...thanks guys for reply

Edit: Just phoned AirAsia...cannot change ticket to include fly/ride service or cannot even pay extra for service. Basically if I want this I have to rebook new tickets and lose the money on the old ones. Also, cannot even pay at airport for this service with AA. Looks like it will have to be a separate taxi. Will know for future reference!

The Ploy hotel in Mukdahan used to offer a mini van service from Nakhon Phanom. Not sure if they still do due to the fly/ride service now offered by the airlines. Best to give them a ring and ask. The number I have is 042630562.

They offer it for 350 baht but better book in case it' fool.

It's Ploy TRAVEL that proposes the service, no need to stay at hotel.
