  1. Now it's February and probably not even have started with the programming, not to mention proper testing. What could go wrong...
  2. The pictures are from an old story about a guy on overstay and problems with his business and Thai wife / girlfriend, who called the cops
  3. Are you actually staying in Thailand or have been here for a few years?
  4. Here's my two cents. What I can see from the video below the news, the bus obviously veered into the hard shoulder and then the driver lost control. So it's missing attention from the driver for whatever reason: on the phone, micro sleep or talking with someone inside the bus
  5. Just wondering if there had been no dash cam footage and posted on social media? Any action happening?
  6. I'd add holding a french passport/nationality makes them french. I speak Thai but I'm not Thai...
  7. The usual Thaiger quality reporting...
  8. That should have rang the alarm bells for the driver that it's not about the delivery but rather some other purpose the woman asked him for. Why he just didn't go away and ended the conversation?
  9. Hilarious comments 😂 😂 😂
  10. The majority of the air pollution isn't created from cars in Bangkok. It's from crop burning in Thailand and neighbouring countries. When does the government finally understand this? Unless there are no severe consequences for arsonists it'll continue forever.
  11. How long do you live here? Do you really think this will be enforced? The Burmese security guard surely knows all EVs and hybrid cars on the Thai market.... And as opposed to other countries Thailand doesn't have a dedicated license plate or mandatory sticker for EVs.
  12. These so-called security guards and also the police force need some non-lethal tools to restrain people like this one. Batons, pepper spray or tasers would be good good start.
  13. Should make it with a QR code output and self service gates at major airports. Every human interaction (not only at Thai immigration) is going to slow down the processing time.
  14. Spotted this car yesterday in Pattaya. Based on the logo behind the black tape sticker I'd say it's a Haval ? Any ideas? Edit: I've done a Google lens search and it's obviously the new BYD Atto 2. I wasn't aware the BYD adjusted it's rear logo from build your dreams to just BYD hence I thought from the length of the sticker it could be Haval.
  15. You said it already. Based on a previous iteration of the Deepal so it's old technology already. Who, except hardcore Mazda fans, will buy it? Not to mention that in my opinion Mazda cars have always been overpriced
  16. Honda is a little bit late to the party. Can't see much market share or sales for it
  17. Thinking about what terms? At home you should be charging according to the TOU timing. And usually I run the battery around or below 20% before charging over night. Using the timer function of my MG 4 I try not to charge over 80% unless we have a long trip on the next day. When we're out with the car, I'm combining the toilet, coffee, eating and 7-11 stop with charging. Really not much difference for me to driving an ICE car with the only requirement that the gas station or rest stop must have a charger. Once I have plugged in, I just hang around at the rest stop. Usually the time for hanging around exceeds the necessary charging time. When I'm on the road I'm never in a rush. The only downside, it requires a bit of planning ahead or during the trip. And you'll need a dozen of different apps for searching and using charging stations 😭. Once you get familiar with it, it's a breeze. Most of the charging companies apps show the current status (available and / or operational) of the charging poles. For some companies (PTT I have in mind) you can even make a reservation at a certain time. If you are going on longer trips, you'll be happy how much money you'll save compared to gasoline or diesel
  18. I'm sure they all have a driver's license, proper motorcycle ownership, tax and insurance 😬. Not to mention a helmet. Yet there is zero action.
  19. Or China 🤣🤣🤣 Small anecdote: before the great plague I was doing a solo trip to Shantou. Relatively small city near Shanghai. At that time Air Asia had really cheap flights from Thailand to there. So I got my visa in order before. No issues. However, at immigration I was taken aside and the officer took my passport into some back office room. After 10 minutes another officer came back and told me in basic English, that he had never seen a passport from my country (EU) before and had to consult with his colleagues if it was a genuine passport or a fake document 🤣🤣🤣
  20. Do you de-carboxylate (heat) your weed before making oil ?
  21. Not downplaying what he did but so much effort and attention. I wish drunk driving, speeding or the yearly burning would receive such swift response
  22. Good luck for returns, warranties or refunds. This is Thailand, not the US
  23. But still, that isn't a guarantee you can enter Thailand without any problems. These agencies send a photo of your passport to the relevant border points and clear you before taking the border run.
  24. Yes, something like this. And people here repeatedly saying there's no bribery involved in all of these agent service. How do you think you'll get in without any issues?
  25. I can only repeatedly say: vote with your feet meaning use exclusively grab taxis or metered taxis and ignore those scammers. May they go out of business soon. The sooner, the better for everyone
