  1. My bad. This is obviously new model naming policy from MG starting 2025. No longer the "old" X model. Probably because of confusion with X-Power. Still would go for the V model. Blind Spot assist saved me many times from collisions, mostly with crazy motorcycles. ELK is annoying for every day driving, agree. MG dealer told us there'll be a software update where ELK is disabled from the start and you have to switch it on. One pedal system. No idea what is the difference to the current system. Since driving my MG I have set KERS to level 3 and it is literally one pedal drive already. I rarely use the brakes.
  2. Sorry, I was talking about the D model from around 2023/24. They seem to have made some changes in the naming (see recent post from KhunLA). What used to be the X model, is now D and V. Four wheel drive still X-Power.
  3. Nothing will happen. I bet 1,000 THB
  4. Agreed 👍🏻 ELK is annoying for most daily driving but quite useful on the motorway and expressway in conjunction with adaptive cruise control ACC. It's almost like self driving mode from Tesla autopilot
  5. I think you are confused between X model and X power. Besides that, the features that you mentioned are more than useful and standard on any other EV. So, for me it's a no brainer to spend little extra money to go for the X model
  6. I don't know about the MG ZS, but neither the MG4 D nor X model have a sunroof. But the D model literally has no driver assistance systems, parking cameras and a smaller screen.
  7. The D model is really low spec. Wouldn't want to have it when buying a new car...
  8. I'll take that anytime over the cheapo Neta cars.
  9. SAIC presents new version of MG4 in 2025 https://carnewschina.com/2025/03/20/new-mg4-ev-revealed-officially-as-the-brands-first-global-model-for-2025/
  10. I used 1st Class Visa from Pattaya. Everything worked out fine.
  11. I'm sure some time in the local jail would knock some sense into him
  12. Wouldn't it be the job of the police to ensure these orders are followed? Issue fines and collecting them, temporary detention, dispossession of his dogs to a shelter. Why it has become such a drama now. Reaching until immigration is involved....
  13. Someone probably made a fortune by selling these lights as street lights. How are they supposed to direct light to the ground? It's just a light bulb with no reflector. That's why there are so many. Anyway, not my money.... But surely worth an investigation
  14. ขอใบเสนอราคาแผ่นพื้นคอนกรีต Baan Rai Yarm Yen I always go there and recommend to others when being in Chiang Mai. Full of Thais and rarely a foreigner in sight. Sometimes it can be a bit hectic and chaotic with dishes being delayed or forgotten. But the quality of the food is excellent.
  15. Yes. We extended it for free at the dealer. MG came up with this approximately two months after we purchased the car
  16. Do yourself the favour and don't buy the D model. Apart from being ugly because of the missing rear spoiler and led lights, you would get a car with literally no extras that every new car has since 10 years. In my opinion (I own a MG4 X model 2024), the upgrade was worth every single baht
  17. There's no way one little jar of cannabis is worth those quoted 6,000 THB from the shop owner. Maybe more likely 500 THB. That's why the cops don't investigate. Wouldn't be different in any other country. Damage to small, case closed
  18. It'll only get worse from now. Both for Mukdahan and Savannahkhet
  19. Savannahkhet is an absolute <deleted> hole. There's nothing to do there. The only positive take away was strolling along the river promenade and an excellent banh mi shop at the big market at the edge of the town. I was really happy leaving it after two days.
  20. Lip service. Why would they shoot themselves in the foot? It's their business to sell units and keep them occupied. They don't care about the utilisation, whether it's long time tenants or air BnB
  21. Has nothing to do with the current visa policies. It's rather up to the rental businesses and the police to conduct proper checks of valid driver licenses. Both for foreigners and Thais.
  22. Why you and anyone even bother to discuss with this troll expat oil worker. He's a nuisance and needs a ban here. Seriously. On my ignore list immediately
  23. Finally someone is bringing it up 😬😬😬
