  1. I'm located in Bangkok. Where should I go instead? Doesn't have to be a land border. I can fly out as well. My future employer mentioned he can take over the costs for this temporary visa solution.
  2. My current visa (Non-B for teaching) expires 28 January 2025. My new employer can provide another Non-B in April. My visa history so far: In 2023 I had a 1 year NON-B based on working, in 2024 I had two airport entries with visa exempt and extension (2x 90 days) plus NON-B for business meeting and the recent NON-B for teaching. Could I do a border run to Aranyaprathet - Poi Pet and get a 60-days-stamp plus a possible extension ? Will I need an agent or could there be some questions asked? I talked to a befriended lawyer who said normally there should be no issues, worst case would be an extended stay in Cambodia and apply for a tourist visa e-visa online. However, I would like to avoid this route.
  3. You're probably right. I mixed something up about the MG 4 replacement. Some posts above there is more information about the MG ES5 replacing the older models ZS EV, EP and ES. And at the December motor show MG had the IM LS6 on display with intention to sell it in Thailand 2025. However, this is not a 1:1 replacement for the MG4
  4. Keep in mind that the D model barely has any extras, who are normal for new cars these days. No parking cameras, no lane keep or adaptive cruise control, no emergency braking, if I remember correctly also no android auto or apple car play. For me it was a no brainer to pay up more 100k and get the X model. Own it since a bit over a year and very happy with it. I expect the prices (both for D and X model to drop further this year because MG has announced new models to replace the MG4 and also the outdated MG ZS and MG station wagon
  5. Yeah, I really hate that. Cars do the same here. Creeping out slowly instead of waiting and going
  6. At least one time bad tyres stopped a criminal instead of causing an accident 🤣🤣🤣
  7. Anyway, he was driving way too fast for that situation passing the toll booth, no matter it's free during new year or in usual operation. I assume his vision is impaired or he dozed off
  8. Why do so many people blame the driver for the death of the pedestrian? What's the legal speed limit on that road. 50 km/h ? Just assume he was driving with that speed and the old lady crossed the road without looking for traffic (as many people do here btw), the collision can be fatal as well. So without further evidence from witnesses or camera footage it's easy to blame the driver for no reason....
  9. So you had to stay 12 days in Cambodia. Is that correct? And I assume you went there from Thailand for the purpose of application and returning straight after approval?
  10. Evaporative cooling system for closed greenhouse. It's basically a suction fan with a wet wall
  11. The thing is, if Neta withdraws from Thai market, you have no more maintenance and spare parts supply. See what happened with KTM for two wheelers.
  12. Not so good news for Neta owners or buyers
  13. Probably he's trying to do that
  14. So you are knowingly damage the battery by charging it to 100 % every day. Can't help you then.
  15. Absolutely with you. Most apps and stations display you can see the charging %. If I'm really in a hurry I ask friendly if the people really need a 100% or if they could vacate the spot for others. Ultimately you could press the stop button but that would be very rude. Better not bothering with these idiots...
  16. Could you please post a link for this meter. Thanks
  17. I own a MG4 plus the supplied MG home charger. Both of them don't have a function to limit the battery charging at a certain percentage. However, the car has a timer setting (scheduled charging) and by the time I roughly know how many hours it needs from current SoC to reach between 80 and 90 percent battery level. Always charging 100 percent is certainly not good for the battery and you also have no regenerative braking for the first 20 kilometers, which wastes energy
  18. The Thaiger has it covered for you https://thethaiger.com/th/news/1300328/
  19. Been to the Motor Expo yesterday just for casually looking around what new models are entering the Thai market. Still happy with my MG4 purchased about 1,5 years ago. As expected, many SUVs and crossover designs on show, which I don't like. If I had to buy a EV car now, it would probably the Geely EX5 or Zeekr X. Similar size and price range as the MG4 one year ago. Looking forward to Zeekr 001 but still have four more years to finish payments for the MG.
  20. Why would one need that? There are no parts that the ordinary person can repair or change. Except cabin air filter or fill up the water for wipers
  21. Shouldn't that be standard? Both by the rental businesses and public transport drivers...
  22. No insurance? Just irresponsible and now others (including his family) have to help him out
  23. Just guessing, but given the fact that one person from the motorcycle survived maybe she was wearing a helmet while the other did not ?
  24. It's normal for the country side to let the small children ride on the tractor. Not only related to Thailand
  25. This is not to be meant sarcastic, I am serious. Why not dedicate parts of those lanes to motorcycle only? Vietnam has separate motorcycle lanes on major roads and its fantastic to drive there
