How to apply for DTV based in Thailand? Usually one would apply in their home country or via e-visa-system, right? But I do not have any documents showing I am currently registered or residing there. The reason is, when I moved to Thailand 11 years ago I delisted from the local registry. How to do ? Just the usual flight to KL and try to apply at the embassy with all required documents such as proof of remote work, bank statement, etc. Last time I was at the KL embassy for another type of visa extension and the DTV just started, I heard many conversations with the staff and applicants "Why do you not apply in your home country" and they were sent away.....

7-Eleven Introduces Convenient PromptPay QR Code Payments Nationwide
CLW replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You could say the same for True Wallet scan which has been around for years. Yes, for some people it takes longer but it is really convenient that you do not have to carry cash or visit ATM in front of 7-11. I think it a progress -
I have now six cats and all are adopted strays. Vaccinated and neutered. I also started to neuter stray cats around my neighbourhood or cats with Thai owners that don't give a f about controlling the population.

Proper cleaning every three months by service company. Monthly cleaning by replacing the pre filters from 3M and wash the screens. We have cats inside the house, hence the short interval. You won't believe how much dust and hairs stuck in the screen. Even with twice daily floor cleaning

As others already suggested, buy a tower fan. Cleaning is no issue. You can take out the fan rotor and wash it. It is similar to the fan inside your A/C unit.

In Thai language forums there are rumours that the sudden closure was due to an issue with the franchisee (to high fees or not wanting to extend the contract). And that the branches are reopening soon under own concept from PTTOR with fried chicken Thai style. Whatever that means...

New travel rules: Thailand’s ETA to shake up visa-free visitors
CLW replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'd rather let an electronic system decide and have clarity before travelling than be at the mercy of an immigration officer that probably had a bad day- 181 replies

Hey Chefs: What Thai Beef Cuts Are Best For Carnie Asada?
CLW replied to KhonKaenLive's topic in International Food
Makro has picanha cut (Australian Beef) and flank steak (Thai and imported beef) -
Still with those silly large wheels and higher ground clearance. Plus higher center of gravity. I'd buy a regular hatchback or sedan anytime over a SUV

From Nasdaq.com: What company makes Tesla's batteries? Tesla works with multiple battery suppliers, including Panasonic, its longtime partner, as well as LG Energy Solutions, the second largest battery supplier in the world. They supply the EV maker with cells containing nickel and cobalt.

Given the current political turmoil and exclusion of the PPRP from the newly formed government, how likely is another military coup in Thailand? I mean it's not that they are announcing it before, right? Surprise is one of the major elements of a coup in any country....

Another SUV 🤮

You might want to do some research and find out that half of the global EV battery production are Chinese companies with majority of the batteries also produced in China.

Both two above recommendations are correct. Neem oil with dishwashing liquid or any cooking oil with dishwashing liquid can control them. Chemicals are not advised for home growers. However, in worse cases like your picture you can use Fenpyroximate (brand name Altus / Ortus). This is one of the least toxic chemicals. Elemental Sulfur also works.

Pattaya Plans Red Line Monorail to Boost Urban Mobility
CLW replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Nonsense project and waaaay to expensive and long construction time. Why not starting with a proper bus system (real buses) on dedicated lanes. Close beach road for public traffic FFS and regulate the tour buses. Most of the problems solved -
Yes, very happy to own an EV. I really don't worry about driving near or far about the cost of refueling / recharging. The only concern is now the time spent on the road.

Why? I already stated I'm doing three charges per week. Approximately from 15 to 80 % SOC. The car battery has 64 kWh capacity

Grid-tied meaning I can sell excess electric to MEA during daytime?
-
Who has its car at home during the day? I guess most people who still have to work drive their car to work.... So you already need a battery storage. Extra cost. Same case for use the electric for AC. Who is at home on daytime to benefit from that? Me and my partner are working, the child is at school. Earliest to start using AC is maybe 5 pm. Even with a small system, let's say 3 or 5 kW. When can I use the generated electricity? On weekends when I have TOU anyways. Doesn't make sense for me. Not unless the cost of electric here is going to increase 20 percent or more. And I can't see that coming
-
I own an MG 4 and drive five times to work per week, three full charges per week. Plus sometimes travelling on weekend or long holidays. The monthly cost of charging never exceeded 1,000 THB. So I don't know how you come up with monthly costs of 8k THB. Even if I add the electric cost for our house with 2 ACs, the monthly bill is rarely over 2k THB. With TOU (which also includes weekends and public holidays). And you want to tell me that a 10 kW PV system is feasible for this case? Like I said, 15 years ROI
