Pretty much my story. Met on Thaikisses, Married 2 months after I met her. A hard working woman. Even though I told her she didn't have to work, she works everyday for less than 500 baht a day when here in Thailand. ^ months out of the year we go back to the US where she got a job working in landscaping. 11 years together now. I recommend the book "Thai Fever" to learn about how Thai women think.

I think this is the thing most westerners fail to acknowledge here though, You met her and quickly got married. Most guys including myself want to date for at least a year or more before we get married and the thing with most thai girls is if you are not married then many consider themselves single still.

Since scooter gear oil is not exposed to high heats

    as engine oil is,

it doesn't break down nor evaporate

    nearly as fast.

    Every few years or

    30-40Kkm should be fine.

But its real cheap so ...

    following manufacturer's recommendations be cool.

Exactly this, I just replaced mine it had been nearly 2 years and the oil that came out was still a little clear, Nowhere near as black as the normal oil that is changed monthly.

  3. Nearly Every Specialist has said the same thing If you are wearing the mask correctly then After no more then 30 minutes you should have trouble breathing as you are not getting enough  air in.....If you can wear the mask for more then 30 minutes and still breath fine then you are NOT wearing the mask properly and air is getting inside from around the edges making the mask useless....Now how many people here who wear masks or double mask can still breath properly after 30 minutes...I am guessing most as it is not easy to put the masks on PROPERLY!

    Don't sell her;

    bad karma.

    13Kkm on an air-filter;

    spring for a new one.

    Plug; yup.

Does she smoke (rev her up on center stand)

    / use oil?

    Top job is cheap.

Pull brake fluid cap and flush if fluid looks milky.

does not smoke at all and still works really well, not a lot of loss of power just noticeable enough. 38k km so far on original spark plugs so guessing it needs new ones. will get the airfilter done as well and have them look at brake fluid cheers. Any idea how much new spark plugs should cost and anything to watch out for, normally I just take to a local mechanic here in phuket to do as I have no idea lol.

  5. So my click 125i is about 4-5yrs old now and still running extremely well, replaced the tyres and back break at 25k and belt once at 23k and again at 37k when it snapped, air filter replaced at 27k. Lately I am noticing my bike losing a little power as in it used to do 95kph no problem now it's struggling at 80, I have read that the spark plugs should be replaced, anything else I should look at getting replaced? is it better to just sell and buy a new one or keep this one going if it is running fine?

I voted 1, but only because my preferred option ins't available. I believe that, after a sensible deadline, access to services (government, bank, ATM, 7/11, markets) should be denied to unvaccinated people. Under Thailand's current plans  this should probably be announced, right now, as of November 1.

So people are given a choice, but would have to send their gardener to get cash from the ATM if they chose to stay unprotected.

while we are at it let us also ban smoking, jail time if you don't give up smoking...ban all junk food too as that is bad for you, jail time if caught eating junk food.....shall we go on!! If you get the vaccine you are supposedly protected so why should it matter if others don't??

Does it only mean if you can’t prove vaccinated or negative test you have to do 14 days quarantine? (Replacing the rapid antigen test only with 14 days quarantine?) or is it 14 days quarantine for everyone regardless?

I may be wrong but I thought just because you are vaccinated does not mean that you don't have corona or that you can't pass it on to others.....

    May Day holiday.

    Check again tomorrow.

nah i would say nearly 50% of all the family marts/ 711's in rawai are now boarded up and closed. I am guessing not enough business to stay open at the current time.

Or die waiting. Big price to pay but ok if you live near a jungle however normal folk who love to socialize IMO are better off vaccinated ASAP

how many people have died from covid in thailand so far....how many have died from road deaths....I think you will find road deaths FAR ECLIPSES corona deaths...so with your thinking then you will never go out on the roads again either?? didn't think so!!

What a waste, the last artisans who make high-quality hand-made watches sell them for thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars and this guy is making fake rolexes himself to sell for 250 usd? He would have to invest tons of money in melters, hydrolic presses, machines to make parts for the movements, machinery for the dails, etc. Spend millions of USD and hours upon hours of his time to make watches he then sells for 250 usd.

With the amount of orders these guys are doing they would be making Millions of USD a year EASILY! There used to be and probably still is entire forums dedicated to 3-4 of the top watchmakers that sell fakes online and they are making an absolute fortune doing so. sometimes the waitlists were as long as 8-10 months.....Shows just how much business they were getting!

  11. I remember 10 years ago buying one of the AAA fake rolex from a watchmaker that used to make them. It cost a fraction of what a new rolex would cost around $250-300usd. Came with box and fake papers but when I was in the USA, my friend who had a real one compared the two and there was no way he was able to tell the difference at all based on appearance and weight. The AAA fakes made by real watchmakers are extremely hard to tell apart from the real ones until you take them apart of course. I would be extremely hesitant of buying any rolex 2nd hand here.

    (random ideas????

if you have symptoms, immediately get some insurance if you don't have it. some travel insurance will cover immediately even if you're already at your destination.

if doing the RT-PCR test, perhaps you could send a friend to pick up the results? And also give out your friend's telephone number, but of course put your data down (they will do this for you with your ID when you get the test). if positive, perhaps you can enlist an attorney (or well-connected agent) to "enable" you to quarantine at home before they find you.

it is not clear if Thailand has any of the advanced medications to treat Covid, and I presume they do not unless you have serious connections and cash.

No travel insurance currently covers covid if bought after covid started spreading...AND no insurance will cover you normally for the first 3-7 days after you buy it if you are out of the country.

Insurances will also deny any claim if they suspect you bought insurance after feeling sick...They are here to make money not lose it!!

You can now have a holiday to New Zealand and fly wherever you want from there.

Australia cannot tell N.Z immigration to not allow Aussies on international flights.

Of course, the Aus gov is threatening fines and jail for people but whether they will follow through that is another thing.

For me, as far as returning to Thailand,

the insurance, Covid certificates and quarantine is just to much bother for the reward.

And just imagine if you went through all that, then caught Covid on the way or in Quarantine..

Then Thai guards force you into a private hospital or "Covid field hospital"

    even if you are asymptomatic.

    No thanks!

Imagine Jail terms for just trying to leave your country....and you don't think they will follow through with it, I would beg to differ. I have a feeling they will throw the book at anyone that tries to defy this government in their power grab! Australia is the only country in the world that DEMANDS their citizens get permission from the gov before leaving......
