  1. I don't find they are violent but they sure do get mad very very easily....I once asked what happened to a movie that was on to my ex and she said it had finished....I replied but it only just started and that was all it took......She got angry and yelled at me and then the silent treatment after that....Same with thai girls and their mom's, my ex always used to say "Mom says NO" when she didn't want to do something(shaving legs, waxing moustache) as if in thai culture you never go against your mom's wishes BUT.....whenever she wanted to do something that mom said no to...it was ok apparently.

This is thailand though if you find one that gets mad easily or has problems...drop them and find another one, not hard here lol.

By going through an Australian court.

By the way, the kid can apply for Australian nationality because of its father. Child support is awarded for the child, not the mother.

no the child cannot. Not without him being the father on the birth certificate and unless married he won't be...The embassy will not force him to get a paternity test either the only way the child can get Australian Nationality is if the father flew back over here agreed to paternity went to court to get his name put on the birth certificate and then applied at the Australian embassy.....You really think he would do all that lolol........This is Thailand not Australia so please obey Thai laws when here!!

So she could not contact anyone in Australia to enforce any support?

hahaha NO, This is thailand and governed by THAI laws not AUSTRALIAN laws....She can contact a lawyer in thailand and try and get child support but this is thailand and he is not considered the father unless they were married at the time...Even if she was able to somehow get him to pay child support here it is around 3000-4000thb a month and once again not enforced!

  4. I went into naborn clinic and had a look at their prices but honestly they are definitely foreigner prices...I now go to a clinic in phuket town for my tests, cant remember name...I am pretty sure all these clinics send their tests to the same place anyways
tests costing 700 at naborn were 450 at this clinic
a iodine test costing 1800 at naborn was 500 at the one in phuket town....pretty big difference.

I got a complete basic checkup with a lot of blood tests and a chest x-ray for 1000 thb too.

Not a stuff up unfortunately. Morison has been saying for months he wants all Australians back he home. So this is the vice tightening

Lets face it if they really wanted Australians home and REALLY cared about Australians they would organize 3-5 jetstar or Qantas flights charge everyone $300-400 in advance and they would be full and everyone can go home that wants to go...Instead they are suggesting you pay 4000-5000aud to qatar and hope your flight is not cancelled.......Australian Government and Embassy are a joke...Even cambodia is organizing a flight for Australians stuck there.......

Obviously never heard of DNA testing and you call yourself

    “ theonetrueaussie” what a joke

Unless married then his name won't be on the birth certificate and he will have absolutely zero legal rights to the child. People always say you need to respect the laws and customs of Thailand...Foreign laws and foreign child support/alimony have no place here, Only thai law!!!

If you want to live with foreign child support laws go live in that country!

So many accusations on TVF that Thais are racist, xenophobic, etc..... I still I don't remember Prayut to tell openly to all foreigners "Time to go home".  ScoMo however doesn't polish it too much:

    https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/go-home-scott-morrison-tells-international-visitors-20200403-p54gu2.html

"At this time, Australia must focus on its citizens and its residents to ensure we can maximise the economic supports that we have," the Prime Minister told reporters in Canberra on Friday.

There are up to 1.6 million temporary visa holders in Australia who are not eligible for social security benefits and face a narrowing window of opportunity to secure a flight home.

I can imagine the comments if Prayut says "Thais first, the rest <deleted>"

He said there would be no financial assistance to foreigners in Australia and that if they could not afford to stay then they should head home...I don't see prayut and the government here lining up to give money to foreigners either so why should foreigners in Australia EXPECT free money from the Australian Government!!!

Also it was not that long ago when Thailand Refused cruise ships to dock because they had infected on board...In fact nearly ALL countries are refusing cruise ships with infected onboard these days!

  8. I laugh when I see all the people here saying to man up and pay the amount you would in a western country...If people want to live by a western countries laws then go live in a western country. Most women here ship the kids off to the grandparents to look after so how much of that 30k will even be used for the kid...

As others have said if not married, name not on birth certificate then be thankful you dodged a bullet and be smarter next time...Don't allow yourself to be a walking ATM!!

    Really?

As far as I know the German father goes to jail in Germany if he does not comply.

The minute a German lawyer started sniffing around or filing for paternity tests etc you could just fly to thailand have the courts in thailand demand you pay 3500 thb month and then tell the german lawyers to politely get ****** lol.

I was going to say whatever you can afford for your child. 25k + the extras you have mentioned sounds fair, it will ensure a decent life for your kid. Don't get bogged down with the comments from the losers on this site who suggest that this is too much. Never forget that the kid is your blood and Thailand is not cheap anymore.

That is fine if you are paying 25k directly for your kid, if you are just giving it to the ex then she might only spend 1k on the kid and rest for herself....

The center has to close which means loss of income from ticket sales, refunds for performance bookings, restaurant closure and so on. I guess you're aware the Oz government funds national and regional arts activity and centres. The Kennedy Center is a US national cultural center - got it?

    https://www.kennedy-center.org/

oh so what about all the other museums...food trucks..cafes...restaurants...builders etc etc that have had to close as well....are they all going to get 35 million as well and if not WHAT makes the kennedy center so important that it had to delay the entire corona virus relief package!! GOT IT??

The democrats are trying to get relief to the people who most need it, and the Republicans want to give the money to corporations AGAIN!!!!

The Democrats  want to include a $200 increase in SS payments until 2021 to assist the elderly and  disabled, and Mcconnell wants to tie it to the 2018 tax  return, knowing damn well that  anyone that started receiving SS after that date will not get it even if they need it,  And that many receiving SS might not have filed that year.

He says it for transparency so that $200 will not go to those who don't need it. At the same time he is trying to pass a 1/2 a trillion slush fund  for trump to distribute to whom ever he likes and he does not have to tell as who gets it for six months.

You all might be stupid enough to buy what trump and the republicans are selling but we are not buying it!!!

seeing you are so wise please explain to the rest of us how a climate change study on aviation and a 35 million dollar fund for a performing arts center are CORONA virus related that the democrats have attached to the bill...let alone who knows how many more items in their 1100 page bill....And why the funding for corona virus should be held up to make sure these democrat agenda items go through....

No, you're not a Bernie fan, you are a Trump or Russia fan.  The crowded field of Democrats thinned out much like the crowded field of Republicans thinned out in 2016.  Yet you make the unfounded claim of DNC rigging.

You are right it must have just been a miracle that all these candidates who were doing much better then biden all decided to drop out right before super tuesday...Yet warren stayed in till after super tuesday to take the votes away from sanders....WOW such a coincidence right like all the stars aligned for Joe Biden at the right time.....Definitely no rigging there I am sure just joe biden with the best luck in the world!!!

  14. Never a bernie fan but He would have won it if Warren had dropped out before super tuesday...Funny how all of bidens competition dropped out but warren (bernies competition) waited till after super tuesday to drop out. DNC rigged the candidate again and they know all bernie supporters will still vote for their candidate anyways instead of a republican...corruption at it's finest. Bernie supporters should all vote republican and then maybe the DNC will let the will of the people be heard instead of always manipulating the elections to get who they want in!
